Shooting Stars Nurseries at Hinckley

This is a fantastic nursery with friendly, caring staff providing a nurturing environment. They have great indoor and outdoor resources offering a stimulating and safe environment for the children. They also have the benefit of two gardens for the separate age groups to play and explore safely. The nursery offers a good variety of food which I believe is cooked fresh on site. They have (in my opinion) a good risk assessment and processes in place in regards to COVID and I feel content that my children are safe and well looked after there.

My little boy has attended since he was 8 months and he loves it! He is always occupied with challenging, fun, creative, age-appropriate activities and has lots of fun interacting with his friends. He loves two members of staff in particular and talks about them at home all time! The spaces are warm and welcoming and the activities are inviting and inspiring.
His key worker does a great job in keeping his daily diary up to date and showing me what he has been doing which is always nice to see!
He always eats and enjoys the meals provided; which says a lot because he’s a very fussy eater!
Communication is effective and I’m always aware of what he’s done during the day and anything I need to provide. I can always check in on the cameras if I’m ever feeling unsure too! Everyone takes such good care of him and it makes me comfortable knowing he’s in great hands all day.

My daughter has the time of her life at Shooting Stars, Hinckley. She joined Pre School 1 and felt at home immediately, which was all down to the staff working in her room. I would not hesitate to recommend it. The range of activities they complete is fantastic, both indoors and outdoors. My daughter’s confidence and abilities have improved immensely since starting just over six months ago, yet she is also given space to express herself, and her own likes and dislikes. Five stars!

My 3-year-old daughter loves Shooting Stars Hinckley.
She has attended since she was 11 months old and moved through the rooms, loving each one and forging wonderful relationships with staff and other children along the way.

My daughter has such a lovely time at the nursery and learns so much through the varied activities. I love to read the notes left each day to see what she’s been doing, especially the photos, and I find the learning progress reports really informative.
The staff are always super polite; they seem to really enjoy what they do and show real care for the little ones.

Very clean and welcoming. Both my children have attended this nursery. The youngest is in the preschool room and loves it!

My first child started earlier this year when I went back to work. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive of my daughter and me during this transition. The building and garden are lovely. I felt secure with the communication I recieved daily from the nursery on the apps and at handover. Would 100% recommend.

Since our son started nursery in September, he has come on leaps and bounds. His confidence has grown so much with every passing week. There is no better feeling than seeing him run excitedly to the door, waving to his friends and key people. We love being able to see what he gets up to on the app and on the camera. We recommend the nursery to all family and friends. The staff and facilities are amazing! Thank you for being the best for our son.

Since our daughter started in November 2022, she’s come on immensity with her social, emotional and verbal skills. The staff are really caring and calm and are there to support your child’s development and nurture their skills. She loves running around the large rooms and taking part in daily activities. She especially loves exploring the large outdoor garden and just spending time in the reading corner with her key person. The staff have always been committed to helping develop her learning needs and have listened to us when we have any further wishes for her development and have carried out these wishes to the highest standard. Another favourite time for our daughter is meal times; we find that large variety of healthy snacks and meals really good, and it gets her to try food that she may not have tried at home.

Both of our daughters have attended Shooting Stars with my youngest now in Pre School 1. We are extremely happy with the level of service provided, all the staff are friendly and welcoming and our daughter is always excited to go and play and see her friends. We have noticed her vocabulary and other skills improving hugely as a result of the care she receives at nursery and would recommend this setting to anyone.
