January 27, 2021 at 12:00 amShine A Light is the best nursery for my little boy; he has only been there about 2-weeks, but I can already see how much he has improved thanks to his key person and the other practitioners! The Baby room is so welcoming, looks and feels so cosy! There is a lot of choices, so can explore lots of different resources/activities every day!
The managers are so kind as well, always available for a chat and quick to help with any issues I may have! I’m so glad I found Shine A Light for him, as I couldn’t imagine him anywhere else!

June 10, 2021 at 12:00 amBoth of my children love coming to Shine a Light nursery. The manager has really created a home away from home. All the staff are lovely and feel like family. My children have blossomed in their care, and they absolutely adore their key workers. It is a pleasure sending them here, and I never feel worried they aren’t happy, having fun or well taken care of. Thank you so much.

June 10, 2021 at 12:00 amMy child has been attending this nursery for a few months now, and I couldn’t imagine her going anywhere else. The staff are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to ensure that my child is happy and to update us as parents on how my child’s day is going, which I believe is so important. Additionally, the staff are genuinely very caring, and I believe they look after the children as if they’re their own. It melts my heart when I see the photos they send to me via the parent app, as I can see just how much fun she is having and what activities she is getting on with. The food that is cooked is all homemade and healthy. I can see from the updates that my child eats most of the food, which is evidence that it also tastes great! You can see that management really does look after their staff here, and are always developing them. I think this is very important, as happy staff members have better mental well-being, which contributes to a healthy working environment. 10/10.

Our little boy started in January, due to extended furlough after my maternity leave, we had to drop his hours due to finances, and the team couldn’t have been more helpful in discussing all the options for changed schedules with us so we could keep him there and what was available. Since he started, he has absolutely blossomed with an amazing character. He loves all the staff and even has a best friend, who he’ll be moving up to his next room, and it’s just amazing the developmental changes he’s achieved while at nursery and what he’s then been motivated to try at home too. Thank you all so much!

June 10, 2021 at 12:00 amSending my little one to nursery has always been one of my biggest worries, especially when it became apparent he had additional needs. My main concern was him not being understood, included and accepted. The staff in his rooms have been amazing, and have done what they can to support myself and my little one. Throughout lockdown, we were kept updated, and the nursery was only a message or a phone call anyway if we needed them. It’s been great to see a brand new nursery go from strength to strength and fill up with lots of happy faces! The support and communication from my little ones keyworker is amazing. We have been welcomed with open arms by all staff and would definitely recommend it. The staff are like one big family, and this shines through in the rooms with the children, and the relationships between staff and children are amazing!

July 14, 2021 at 12:00 amI can’t stress enough how amazing this nursery is! Our little boy had previously attended another nursery, where he was very unsettled and his needs weren’t being met. I can’t put into words how nice it is to go to work and not have to feel sick with worry because I know he is so much happier and content. The staff, from the management to all the lovely ladies are so warm and welcoming; it just feels like an extension of our home. We’ve really learned the hard way how difficult it can be to trust a childcare provider, but Shine A Light is so much more than that. They understand our quirky little boy just as much as we do; they meet his needs and then some! We trust them completely. We have seen such a big positive change in our son in such a short space of time. He adores all the lovely ladies, who always talk about him in such a lovely light, and we just know that they genuinely care about him just as much as we do! I don’t think we could ever thank you all enough!

July 14, 2021 at 12:00 amAs soon as we viewed the nursery, we instantly felt comfortable and knew my child would love it here. We find all the staff attentive and friendly, and I am confident that they look after my child like their own. They do so many activities to progress learning and have lots of messy fun, which you wouldn’t do at home. My child loves it. The manager has been very accommodating to our individual needs with working patterns, and I couldn’t ask for more. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing childcare.

August 5, 2021 at 12:00 amMy little girl absolutely loves coming to Shine a Light and has come on leaps and bounds since being here, being given the opportunities to thrive in her development. All of the staff are so welcoming and are always willing to help with any questions/needs/worries you may have, putting you at ease and doing so with a smile on their faces! The bond my little girl has with the girls in her room and other staff throughout the nursery is amazing, and there is genuine love being given to her on a daily basis; it really is a home from home. I could not choose a better nursery for my child to attend!

August 6, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter loves coming here and is asking all the time to come – even at the weekend. The staff are amazing, and all genuinely love what they do! My little girl is coming on so much in her development, and at three, can even tell you what transparent means because of the amazing work the staff here do. Shine a Light really is like a second home to our little girl, and we can not thank the staff enough for the amazing work they do.

March 1, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little boy has attended Shine A Light since October 2021. Before he started, he was extremely clingy (lockdown baby!), and Shine A Light has really helped him come out of himself and given him so much confidence. The nurture and support from all of the staff are brilliant. My little boy loves the variety of activities they do each day, mixing/learning with play.
His favourite part of the day is lunchtime as the food is brilliant, healthy, and varied each day.
I couldn’t recommend Shine A Light more.

May 10, 2022 at 12:00 amMy little boy started 4-weeks ago at the age of 10.5-months. I was so anxious for him to be without me, but he loves Shine A Light and the staff. The staff put me at ease when leaving him for the first time, and I love going to pick him up and hearing about his day. The staff have so much time for you, and you can tell that they truly do care about the children as they get just as excited as you when they hit their milestones!

January 19, 2023 at 12:00 amWhen I visited Shine A Light back in December 2021, I had visited a number of different nurseries before, and nothing compared to the instant feeling of home-from-home.
My daughter has thrived there, and the dedication of the staff is second to none.
The passion that the staff have for the children and their job is so apparent.
No two days are the same at nursery, and my daughter loves it.
The manager and the team are there for the parents just as much as the children, and I cannot thank them enough for their continued support!

The staff speak really highly of the manager and seem to love their job. The nursery is well-organised, and the children have lots of room to explore.

It is evident that the staff have good childcare knowledge and take time to get to know each child individually. March 6, 2023 at 12:00 amWe love Shine A Light Day Nursery so much! Our daughter is extremely happy there and she is well cared for. She has developed so much over the past year and enjoys going into the nursery in the morning. The staff are so enthusiastic and passionate – they really make an effort to get to know your child and how to support them. The range of activities is brilliant and we love the Famly app and seeing photos during the day to keep us going whilst at work. It feels like a community. We wouldn’t take our daughter anywhere else!

My son loves it, is excited to go in the morning and is always smiling on pictures sent throughout the day. It’s never easy leaving your child and putting the trust in someone, but the staff are so amazing with the children; it really does put you at ease.

June 12, 2023 at 12:00 amAn amazing nursery that is made even better with the thoughtful, hardworking and dedicated staff. Such a wonderful atmosphere and always so welcoming and accommodating. Everyone has taken the time to get to know our family, especially our little girl, who gets the best care when she attends. She looks forward to going, and I struggle to get her to leave at the end of the day! As a shy and reserved child, she has really come out of her shell and has friends and fantastic relationships with staff. She is happy and confident, and that really puts me at ease knowing the staff know her so well, and the love and care for her just makes me so reassured and comfortable leaving her. We drive past several nurseries that are closer to home to bring our little one here and also have chosen this nursery over the nursery that our son attended a couple of years ago due to being so impressed by the setting and wonderful staff. Would recommend it to anyone in the local area (and have)!

They care so much about the children as well as our families. I really couldn’t praise them enough. My son has developed so well since starting, and I know he will continue to thrive while he is there.

Big and clean garden (children spend lots of time there), lots of lovely resources and ideas.
Parents get feedback and photos during the day. My little one is struggling with food, but she loves lunch and tea in Shine A Light. She started eating vegetables there, which was difficult at home. Also, little ones get fruits during the day.
Children feel at home there! They can have rest anytime during the busy day, unlimited cuddles and wear slippers like at home.
You will feel a friendly atmosphere from the main door. Managers and all staff are very welcome for all parents and children and what is very important – they always like that, not only on the first day.
We are super lucky that we found this place!
