Shine A Light Day Nursery

Such a fantastic atmosphere and consistently so welcoming and accommodating. Everyone has taken the time to get to know our family, especially our little girl, who gets the best care when she attends. She looks forward to going, and I struggle to get her to leave at the end of the day! As a shy and reserved kid, she has really come out of her shell and has friends and remarkable relationships with team. She is cheerful and confident, and that really puts me at ease knowing the team know her so well, and the adore and care for her just makes me so reassured and comfortable leaving her. We drive past several nurseries that are closer to home to bring our little one here and also have chosen this childcare centre over the childcare centre that our son attended a couple of years ago due to being so impressed by the setting and fantastic team. Would suggest it to anyone in the local area (and have)! An incredible childcare centre that is made even better with the thoughtful, hardworking and dedicated team.

The Baby room is so welcoming, looks and feels so cosy! There is a lot of choices, so can explore lots of different resources/activities every day!

The managers are so compassionate as well, consistently available for a chat and quick to help with any issues I may have! I’m so glad I found Shine A Light for him, as I couldn’t imagine him anywhere else! Shine A Light is the best childcare centre for my little boy; he has only been there about 2-weeks, but I can already see how much he has improved thanks to his key person and the other practitioners!

The team are incredible, and all genuinely adore what they do! My little girl is coming on so much in her development, and at three, can even tell you what transparent means because of the incredible work the team here do. Shine a Light really is like a second home to our little girl, and we can not thank the team enough for the incredible work they do. My daughter loves coming here and is asking all the time to come – even at the weekend.

The team are just so lovely and care about each and every kid and their development. The owner of the childcare centre is incredible and cares about all the kids, the parents and the team. I couldn’t imagine my kids going anywhere else.

Our little boy had previously attended another childcare centre, where he was very unsettled and his needs weren’t being met. I can’t put into words how nice it is to go to work and not have to sense sick with worry because I know he is so much happier and content. The team, from the management to all the lovely ladies are so inviting and welcoming; it just feels like an extension of our home. We’ve really learned the hard way how difficult it can be to trust a childcare provider, but Shine A Light is so much more than that. They understand our quirky little boy just as much as we do; they meet his needs and then some! We trust them completely. We have seen such a big positive change in our son in such a short space of time. He adores all the lovely ladies, who consistently talk about him in such a lovely light, and we just know that they genuinely care about him just as much as we do! I don’t think we could ever thank you all enough! I can’t stress enough how incredible this childcare centre is!

My main concern was him not being understood, included and accepted. The team in his rooms have been incredible, and have done what they can to assistance myself and my little one. Throughout lockdown, we were kept updated, and the childcare centre was only a message or a phone call anyway if we needed them. It’s been excellent to see a brand new childcare centre go from strength to strength and fill up with lots of cheerful faces! The assistance and updates from my little ones keyworker is incredible. We have been welcomed with open arms by all team and would definitely suggest it. The team are like one big family, and this shines through in the rooms with the kids, and the relationships between team and kids are incredible! Sending my little one to childcare centre has consistently been one of my biggest worries, especially when it became apparent he had additional needs.

I was so anxious for him to be without me, but he loves Shine A Light and the team. The team put me at ease when leaving him for the first time, and I adore going to pick him up and hearing about his day. The team have so much time for you, and you can tell that they truly do care about the kids as they get just as excited as you when they hit their milestones! My little boy started 4-weeks ago at the age of 10.5-months.

The team are absolutely incredible. They go above and beyond to ensure that my kid is cheerful and to update us as parents on how my kid’s day is going, which I believe is so important. Additionally, the team are genuinely very attentive, and I believe they look after the kids as if they’re their own. It melts my heart when I see the photos they send to me via the parent app, as I can see just how much enjoyable she is having and what activities she is getting on with. The food that is cooked is all homemade and healthy. I can see from the updates that my kid eats most of the food, which is evidence that it also tastes excellent! You can see that management really does look after their team here, and are consistently developing them. I think this is very important, as cheerful team members have better mental well-being, which contributes to a healthy working setting. 10/10. My kid has been attending this childcare centre for a few months now, and I couldn’t imagine her going anywhere else.

The team are lovely as well as the manager. The team speak really highly of the manager and seem to adore their job. The childcare centre is well-organised, and the kids have lots of room to explore. My daughter is consistently cheerful to go to the childcare centre, and everyone I speak to loves this childcare centre.

All the team are absolutely remarkable. They care so much about the kids as well as our families. I really couldn’t praise them enough. My son has developed so well since starting, and I know he will continue to thrive while he is there. My son has been going to Shine A Light for almost a year now, and I couldn’t think of anywhere better for him to attend.
