September 11, 2024 at 9:06 amThey took individual care of each and every kid and helped my son to learn things independently. The teaching methods are creative, and the kid never gets bored. I am more than cheerful to suggest this school/childcare centre. I joined my little one in Sherfield childcare centre/School, and I never regretted it.

September 11, 2024 at 7:23 pmShe settled really quickly and soon was getting really excited to go to childcare centre. The team are incredible! The atmosphere is lovely, and the facilities they have including so much land to explore is just excellent. It’s really lovely to know your kid’s getting fresh air and lovely walks rain or shine. Our daughter has just progressed so much at childcare centre we adore it. She’s just moved into the ladybird’s room and is starting to settle well here, and again, we’re seeing things such as her ability to completely self-feed now; it’s just incredible how quickly they seem to learn. Our daughter has attended Sherfield Childcare centre since November 2020 starting in the caterpillar’s room, and we just can’t suggest the childcare centre enough.

September 19, 2024 at 4:56 pmThe school has lovely grounds and the team were generally fine but the Childcare centre was going through a transition period and there were some significant issues including with safeguarding. Fees were put up and parents weren’t told. They run the Childcare centre largely in isolation from the main school so there’s little monitoring of what goes on. When I tried to bring up issues the Head of Prep acknowledged issues but never came back to me to see if things had changed or properly address the concerns. The Head of the School was just rude and had no interest in what was wrong. I’ve dealt with and worked in a lot of private schools and it just wasn’t the journey you would expect. We had really thought we’d found a school that would take our kids right through to 18 but unfortunately not. Really would not suggest. My son never really enjoyed going to the Childcare centre and in 7 months never bought anything home that he’d done during the day.

September 29, 2024 at 10:56 pmThe team are lovely, grounds and facilities next to none, and our daughter has been cheerful to attend since day one. They provide constant updates through an app, and you can see through this the activities they do and the great quality food they eat. They have also been excellent with our daughter’s many allergies. Wouldn’t hesitate to suggest, such a lovely childcare centre. Sherfield Childcare centre has been fantastic since the day our daughter first attended back in March.

October 15, 2024 at 3:09 amThe facilities are really great, and there many different activities and interactions for the kids, including some stunning walks through the acres belonging to Sherfield.
The kids to teacher ratio are extremely great too; you have around 3-4 kids per teacher, making it very interpersonal.
Overall, I highly suggest this school. Sherfield is a fabulous school.
The educators are all very welcoming and attentive for the kids.

October 17, 2024 at 4:13 amThey are cheerful there, the team are attentive and go the extra mile for both the kids and parents. Updates is outstanding and has improved immensely over the years. We get daily updates of what’s been happening through the app and at collection, we speak to the educators as well which is excellent. They have activity mornings where you go into the classrooms with the kids to see what they get up to during the day. The childcare centre has adapted well by continuing with parent updates via Zoom. Kids use the library, computer whiteboards, learn French, German and Spanish. l also adore that they have big grounds, the kids have daily walks and the playground for fresh air. I’m grateful for how my kids have grown and the skills they have acquired to prepare them for school. l couldn’t have chosen a better childcare centre. l would definitely suggest to anyone. Both my boys have attended Sherfield Childcare centre from the baby room to the big school with the youngest finishing pre-reception this summer.

November 27, 2024 at 10:37 amMy son thrives here, is cheerful, and I sense secure knowing the setting he is in. This childcare centre combines outstanding facilities (great outdoor area, regular walks around the lake on the grounds, etc) with a focus on physical well-being (such as baby yoga, developing skills on teeth brushing) and a strong academic ethos (discovering languages from age 2).

Each member of team is very welcoming and attentive and shares information about how my daughter’s day has been at the end of the day. The app is updated regularly with pictures. There are outstanding facilities and grounds for the kids to delight in. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest Sherfield Childcare centre. My daughter loves Sherfield and all the educators.

The outdoor area is secure and shaded for the kids to delight in. All the team are welcoming and communicative, giving a great description of the kid’s day and activities.

March 25, 2025 at 11:32 pmI would like more ability to walk into the childcare centre, which is probably how things were pre-Covid.
I would like the childcare centre to help with Government kid hours; it’s disappointing they don’t offer this – we still plan to keep our kid here for pre-school and private school, but some extra help wouldn’t go a miss. Overall, I’m cheerful with the service provided and the way the childcare centre has adapted to our requests as parents.

May 27, 2025 at 12:30 pmThe carers are excellent with the kids. The childcare centre offer sessions for parents to attend, which is excellent for seeing how your kid plays at the childcare centre. Only negative for me is the ad-hoc changes made for drop-off location. My kid is very cheerful at the childcare centre.

June 16, 2025 at 7:18 pmHe is now much happier and has settled into his new childcare centre in only a couple of days. His new childcare centre are incredible and are a home away from home. The amount of kids in each room is much higher at Sherfield. We had quite a lot of issues with being told different things about what he had eaten during the day – he has food allergies so this was extremely important for us to know. He got bitten more than a few times by another kid. Once they didn’t even realise and just thought that he’d been hit by another kid but when we got him home he had teeth marks on his arm. He had an accident at childcare centre and banged his head but we weren’t informed until the following day. The kids also don’t have free access to water so he would be extremely thirsty a lot and have constipation. If he made a card the team would just write “from …” inside, it seemed like it was too much effort for them to add anything further. We would not suggest, lots of unhappy parents. Our son attended from Sept 21 to June 22.

June 20, 2025 at 8:20 amIf I could give it 1000 stars, I would. Both my kids have gone through this childcare centre, and it was very sad to see them leave. It truly is a excellent childcare centre! The most incredible setting with remarkable team and incredible care!

The only downside is that they do not accept government funding for the 15/30 hours for the 2-3-year-olds. The childcare centre has an outstanding outdoor area and access to their private school facilities.
