Puffins in the City

My youngest being 2 is currently enrolled there. I wouldn’t send my kids anywhere else. I have total trust in all the team with my kids, they build a excellent bond and really show care and comfort to my boys which sets my mind at ease leaving them there to go to work each day. They have a system called Parent Zone so you can communicate about your kid’s day etc easily and see photos daily. They also have their own outdoor playtime area which is excellent and they often go on outings around the city which my boys loved. I would highly suggest. All 3 of my Sons have attended puffins childcare centre at Southernhay over the last 9 years.

I sense very confident leaving him in their care and I know he will have a excellent day. The team are inviting, informative and approachable, despite the challenges of Covid-19 during this time. They have also been very adaptable and approachable, for example giving him expressed breast milk, although luckily he wanted to stop this fairly early on himself and accommodating his cloth nappies. The parent app is excellent and I look forward to seeing the photos, as well as the practical information on sleep. I sense he gets a lot out of the activities each day but will also consistently be given a cuddle if he needs one. My main reason for not hesitating at all in recommending them is simply that he seems to delight in himself! My son started around eight months ago and has absolutely loved Puffins in the City!

The team made her and I sense so at ease with her settling in. They communicate well and take excellent care of her. She loves going to childcare centre now and comes home discovering new skills all the time. I didn’t know she could use a fork! They have a exceptional app that lets you know how she is doing throughout the day. I couldn’t suggest it highly enough. My daughter started when she was 6 months.

He is very excited in the mornings when he knows it’s a ‘childcare centre day’ and consistently gets a very inviting welcome from his key workers which is a really positive start to his day. There’s plenty of outdoor time along with excellent indoor activities, arts and crafts etc. The updates is outstanding and the Parent Zone app is so reassuring; it’s lovely getting daily photographs and updates, it makes my day much easier knowing he’s cheerful and in secure hands. Our son has been at Puffins for two years now and we have consistently felt very looked after by the attentive and attentive team.

They are consistently doing a variety of activities including lots of sensory activities which he loves. I sense that the childcare centre has also helped further my boys development in all areas. My boy has been there since he was six months old and he is now 21 months and I have been very cheerful with every part of the service they provide. All the team are so welcoming and my boy is cheerful there.

Although procedures have recently become very strict due to Covid, I would still suggest that my son continues to thrive and delight in his full days with inviting, welcoming and competent childcare centre workers. Who maintain lovely relationships with him and excellent updates with me. Thank you! I am very cheerful when I drop off my son to Puffins in the City as I am confident and certain that he will be properly looked after, cared for and given time to be him.

Also, team are incredible and supportive. Our son enjoys this place a lot and we are all cheerful for that.

He speaks so positively of his key workers and friends and is really cheerful there. A fantastic childcare centre – our son has grown in self‑assurance and ability massively since starting with Puffins and is really keen to go there in the mornings.

The team are very great with him and consistently keep you updated on things plus the ParentZone app is exceptional so you can see what he’s been doing and eating too. My son attends Puffins 5 days a week, he’s consistently cheerful there and discovering new experiences.

The childcare centre were remarkable during the lockdown and kept in regular contact. When my son started going back after lockdown he started to become very upset at drop off but the team were so welcoming and reassuring and I knew that within being there for a few minutes he would be happily playing. The parentzone app is excellent for knowing what he is up to and seeing pictures of him playing and discovering. I can’t thank the team enough for how fantastic they all are with him and how they really take a genuine interest in every kid and are so attentive for them all. I’d 100% suggest this childcare centre to anyone. My son started coming here the week before lockdown in March, his settling in sessions were exceptional and his first day went really well.
