April 29, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has just started at Puddleducks Day Nursery and already I can tell that he feels safe and trusts his key workers. They stimulate him with an incredible variety of activities, nurture him with encouragement and cuddles and nourish him with great food. I have full confidence that he is safe and happy at all times.

April 29, 2022 at 12:00 amFantastic nursery, loving staff. Our little boy is learning so much and is very well cared for. The management team are very quick to reply to emails and staff update the app on a regular basis throughout the day, reassuring me that my son is happy and doing well.

The nursery is great at encouraging their development, a really supportive and caring place – we feel lucky to have our girls attend such a nice nursery.

May 3, 2022 at 12:00 amOur son has attended Puddleducks since he was 11 months old (barring a break due to Covid-19) and we couldn’t be happier with the standard of care he has received in that time. The facilities, especially the outside space, the wide range of activities and the kind-hearted people who work there make this nursery a wonderful place to be. It has been wonderful watching our son thrive and develop and now in the final months of preschool become so confident and sociable. The pandemic has been challenging for everyone and whilst we have found the communication a little one-sided at times, we enjoy reading the updates on Tapestry and have never doubted that the wellbeing of our son has always been a priority for the staff. We highly recommend this setting as an excellent foundation for school.

Their care is excellent and my daughter has a great day, every day.
It’s a homely building with a lovely atmosphere. Nice facilities and full of toys for learning and play.

The care he is given is beyond impeccable and I’m very happy we decided to send him here. I have every ounce of trust in his caregivers and want to thank them for helping us make this transition seamless!

May 3, 2022 at 12:00 amI have been blown away by the standard of learning, care and variety of activities that this nursery provides. Coming from a previous nursery we had been very happy within the area, Puddleducks has redefined what excellence in early years childcare means for us. Our daughter’s language has progressed hugely, and from a seamless and warm welcome, she has grown social skills we just haven’t seen before in just two short months. It’s been truly amazing.

Now that she is in pre-school she is developing so well, learning to write her name and she loves counting, as well as all the outdoor & messy play.

The staff worked so hard to help him settle in, and he goes in every morning very happy. The range of activities on offer is excellent and varied. He has wonderful nutritious meals there, thanks to the lovely cook. We enjoy getting updates on his progress and know the staff are always there to offer support and advice. We couldn’t be happier knowing he’s at such a fantastic nursery – thank you, Puddleducks!

May 5, 2022 at 12:00 amOur daughter has been attending Puddleducks Day Nursery in Baldock for almost a year now. She started just before her first birthday, and as a lockdown baby, has benefited so much from attending. She is a confident, bubbly, funny little girl who is encouraged and supported by the wonderful staff who genuinely care for her. She has formed great relationships with the staff and other children, and thoroughly enjoys going to the nursery every day. We would love not to have to work full-time but knowing our daughter is in the best environment and stimulus to help her learn and develop into the individual she is, makes us happy as parents. We are proud and amazed by her achievements and that is solely not down to us as parents, but to those who are helping shape her early years.

May 6, 2022 at 12:00 amMy review is mostly positive overall. My son always seems happy to go in and happy during pick up. Although there have been a few disputes for billing, a bill was sent in error due to an overseen payment on their part, which was quite stressful for me, being a single parent I’m not sure they were very understanding.
However, my son has become much more confident since being at nursery and often tells me of the activities he has participated in, which is nice to hear.

May 6, 2022 at 12:00 amWhilst my son is happy at the nursery, my review is based on the protocol of the nursery. I do not agree that parents should have to pay for bank holidays (including Christmas holidays) when the nursery is closed and the services cannot be used. If parents have to pay then childcare should be offered. I also find it unreasonable that if your child’s day falls on a bank holiday there is no flexibility to accommodate to move to another day so your child can benefit. I find this quite old-fashioned.

March 21, 2023 at 12:00 amOur daughter loves her sessions at Puddleducks Day Nursery and we trust the staff there intrinsically with her care. She is happy to enter the nursery and content on collection. They provide balanced meals and are extremely flexible to the children, enquiring each day as to their needs and adapting as necessary. We get care notes from each session so we know when she slept, ate and toileted and update photos with activities she has completed. The range of activities are stimulating and national and international theme days are utilised well to introduce children to different cultures. We receive monthly newsletters from management and any information is communicated in a timely fashion, along with notices to the entrance to the nursery with any urgent information.

March 27, 2023 at 12:00 amI now have two children at the nursery and of the staff, I cannot be happier with the care my children receive. To walk in the corridor and have staff members say hello to both my children by name (even when they are not in those classes) makes you feel as a parent, that everyone cares. Whenever we have had any concerns or worries, the staff are always open to discussing them openly and coming up with a resolution. The nursery have improved communication in announcing if there is a contagious illness amongst the nursery so that parents can make an informed choice about sending their children in. The staff work tirelessly and the mix of experience is really varied. There does not appear to be a high turnover of staff and currently, it feels like the staff are not stretched/understaffed. Thank you again for making me feel happy and secure being at work whilst my children are in your care. Whilst I wish finances were different, I wouldn’t change the care my children receive

March 29, 2023 at 12:00 amHaving used Puddleducks Day Nursery (Baldock) for the last 18 months, we are nothing short of thrilled with the experience our son has had at the nursery. It can be a really difficult decision to put your young child in an external education setting, Puddleducks Day Nursery (Baldock) create such a fantastic environment for both learning and playing, we have no reservations about registering our second child. As our son has additional communication needs our key person alongside the nursery management constantly works with us to help our son thrive.

April 4, 2023 at 12:00 amMy two-year-old daughter is very happy here after relocating. The staff are lovely and welcoming; Lots of learning activities and lovely meals! Puddleducks also has a good app/online space where it’s easy to follow her day-to-day experiences, eating, sleeping and toileting!

It’s been over a month since my daughter has been attending and I know team there take such great care of my baby girl, it makes me happy to send her off every morning and know she’ll be taken care of! The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun and loving environment. I’d like to thank the entire staff and specifically! I would recommend this daycare to other parents.
