Puddleduck Nursery

Puddleduck Nursery is such an amazing place. Our three children have loved this place from the day they started. The staff there are fantastic and always have your child’s interests at heart. There is one big garden which all groups can use plus three other smaller outside play areas, each for the different children’s rooms. The children get daily and regular exposure to outside and this is great for their well-being. The food there is excellent and freshly cooked on site. Groups often go for walks within the grounds of Howbery Park, taking advantage of the quiet fields and woodland areas, sometimes meeting cows along their way but also on the lookout for the Gruffalo! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Puddleduck Nursery offers excellent value for money; go and pay them a visit.

I would highly recommend Puddleduck Nursery as a nursery. It is a small family run nursery where all the staff know every child. Our daughter has been extremely happy there from day one because of the outstanding care she receives. Every day is carefully planned with lots of exciting and fun activities that stimulate her and develop her interests (and exhaust her for bedtime!) There is lots of outdoor and messy play too! Our daughter has some severe allergies and has always been really well looked after and delicious food provided especially for her! We are delighted with Puddleduck Nursery thank you!

This is a great nursery we’ve have sent three children to, could not recommend them enough. The people, food, activities and nursery are all fantastic. They spend plenty of time outside and really know the children well.

Above all else, we feel that our daughter is loved, well cared for and stimulated throughout the day. Activities are child-centred and often child-led, varied and fun. The children are often outdoors both within and without the nursery setting. Planning and communication is clear and thorough and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It is clear that a lot of care and thought goes into every aspect of the nursery.

I would thoroughly recommend Puddleduck Nursery to anyone considering it as a nurturing environment for their child.

A warm, caring, fun, home from home environment. Our eldest has attended the nursery for almost 5 years and we have been delighted with the level of care, attention to detail and support provided by the nursery. The staff are very supportive and caring and are great with communication. The children spend a lot of time outside and are encouraged to learn through play, they are also very involved in choosing topics they would like to explore. In a nutshell, we couldn’t be happier with the nursery and would highly recommend it to all.

Excellent nursery. The staff are incredibly nice and committed and really caring for the children they always find the way to make their day fun, entertaining and also full of new discoveries and learning opportunities. They adapt to the children and listen to their needs. Also lots of outdoor activities which is great.

This nursery is just amazing. The staff including the owner are the best most caring wonderful people you could ever meet. I feel so at ease leaving my little girl knowing she is in such safe hands. They also do so much with the kids with wood walks playing in the park and fantastic learning opportunities.

This nursery is fantastic. My son loves going and always looks forward to his days there and I love his chats to tell me about his day when I collect him. They go outside everyday, which is brilliant and always have fun activities planned. The crafts have really helped my little boy to improve all his core skills.

My little boy attends the nursery and he finds getting involved at times a little hard but the manager and other staff couldn’t be more helpful. He suffers from bad anxiety. I am so glad we chose Puddleduck Nursery. All we can say is thank you so much for helping us through this very difficult period.

This nursery is brilliant and the staff are so friendly, helpful and supportive. My son loves going especially as a lot of the activities are outside and he wants to be outside all the time. The ethos is very nurturing, caring and fun. It is a small, friendly, tight-knit team and, as a result, there is a real family feel. I know my child is loved, and learning through play in a supportive environment. It is well organised and the communication with parents is excellent. I can’t fault it.
