Description
Pride & Joy Day Nursery
The managers and staff have created a harmonious and friendly environment. Staff take time to speak to parents when they arrive with their children. This helps to ensure that the transition between home and nursery is as easy as possible for all children. Children generally arrive with smiles and are eager to join in with activities on offer. Children behave well. Staff generally reminds children rules of the nursery. This helps children to know what is expected of them. The older children happily follow instruction and negotiate space around them safely. Staff know children well. They have high expectation of all children and use timely assessment to inform their planning. Leaders create an ambitious curriculum based on children’s interest and what they need to learn next to be successful in their future learning. Most staff are skilled and sequence children’s learning well. For example, children explore play dough and then use it to create faces. During discussions, staff bring children’s attention to their own facial features and help them identify similarities and differences. Discussions are respectful and children’s voices are listened to. This helps children learn about the world around them andfeel valued. Overall, all children make good progress from their starting points.

October 22, 2024 at 4:35 amShe has been at the club for 3 years.
She made plenty of friends and she consistently felt very welcomed by all the team and kids. She is very sad that she no longer will attend this lovely family setting as she is now 9 years old. The setting is up to 9 years old.
As a lone working parent, I am extremely grateful for the assistance the team provided for me and my daughter. The setting gave me last minute booking for the school training days etc. I cannot thank all the team for the lovely care, assistance and adore they provided for us. I consistently felt secure and secure leaving her at this lovely setting.
Thank you Pride &Joy. My daughter went to their after school club and holiday club.

January 6, 2025 at 10:26 amThe team are incredible, especially in the baby unit. l couldn’t ask for better team. Leaving my kids with them feels like a second family. I have two kids at the childcare centre and since starting they have thrived and are so cheerful at Pride and Joy.

February 4, 2025 at 9:33 pmAll the educators are very welcoming and nice. Unlike other nurseries, they are not business minded. Money is never the main consideration but the growth and development of kid is. Location wise, it is within Spike Bridge Park which is very lovely. Both of the owners are very accommodating and supportive. My daughter consistently felt at home in the childcare centre and we were never worried while leaving her. She learnt a lot of skills and has grown both physically and mentally for which I am very grateful. Educators monitor the kid’s development in many aspects and make notes as they review their activity and development through their time. An outstanding childcare centre in all aspects!
