Play House Pre-school & Out of School Club

They are flexible, cheerful to help and lots of enjoyable. There’s a excellent range of activities to do, plenty of space and the odd trip out. Will definitely be using it again! We have used Play House for the holiday club and had a excellent journey.

Just after her previous setting was closed. Overall journey is incredible. My girl went there with a smile every time. She loved all of the educators. Every day was a different adventure full of playtime time, discovering and laughter. I highly suggest this setting and definitely will be using the out of hours club in future.

There was a excellent range of activities (including a trip out) and the lunch and snacks were excellent. They can’t wait to return. Both of my boys (7 and 5) attended the holiday club during the summer holidays and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The reality is, Play House helped me to collect my kid in her first couple of weeks at Norwood Primary School while I continued to work. All went above and beyond to ensure my kid was collected at obscure times and made comfortable throughout the day at Play House. Her brand new school uniform was folded so neatly in her little rucksack, which to me was a very personal touch. All my kids have attended the after-school club and my youngest attended Pre School at Barnardos Play House and I cannot speak highly enough of all involved. Throughout lockdown the girls in the Pre School were remarkable, the graduation from Pre School party was touching and with every event that occurs my kids will leave with some sentiment, from a valentines gift to a Chinese New Year fortune cookie.
I lost my mother to cancer, so I lack that assistance, but can honestly say Play House has been a backbone. Without the help of all who work at Play House, I would have struggled to have kept my job this year.

She has so much enjoyable playing in the garden and interacting with her friends. She loves making arts & crafts things too. We sense it is excellent value for money and the team are really welcoming, nice and most importantly my little one likes the team and they get treated nicely. My little one loves coming to the playhouse after school a few days a week.

The manager does her absolute best for each kid and consistently sees the great in them. Playhouse are also consistently open to suggestions from the parents in better ways to do things/improve on. I especially adore that they have a male member of team, that absolutely sets a presence for nurseries/out-of-school clubs and shows a excellent attitude towards equality and diversity! There is consistently food/snacks for the kids along with water/squash. My daughter hated her previous breakfast and after club, and now I struggle to get her out of Playhouse! Honestly cannot fault them and hope that they continue to get funding to keep providing this service! The playhouse team have made a positive impact on my 2 kids! I use Playhouse as a breakfast and after-school club only but I cannot fault the team at all, they are all so lovely and welcoming to the kids and offer them a home-from-home while they are in the setting.

He is consistently cheerful at pick-up and tells us that he really had a lot of enjoyable. The team are really welcoming, and supportive and I adore the flexibility that I have in booking childcare on the app. I find it really excellent that I can book the hours that I need which helps me keep doing my job, also I know my son is looked after very well and enjoying his time after school. I would suggest Bernardos to anyone needing flexibility, quality and affordable childcare. Thank you! My son started at Play House in September and he really loves it there.
