Pebbles Day Nursery

I cannot fault Pebbles in any way shape or form. My daughter has been going to Pebbles since summer 2014 and she loves it! The staff changes which took place approx 1 year ago have significantly improved the nursery and I think the Ofsted report reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff. All team members are fully engaged and you can genuinely tell they have real affection for the children that attend – my daughter certainly has a soft spot for her key worker. They provide a fun and secure setting for my daughter and provide healthy and nutritious meals, courtesy of their amazing cook with the odd treat when its someones birthday.
I also like that the staff consistently keep me up to date with my daughters progress whether that’s when I go to collect her or through Tapestry. Nothing is too much trouble even if I’m asking the same questions. I feel involved in my daughters attendance and what is going on whether its an up and coming event such as Sports Day or a quick catch up. I love knowing that my child is happy for the time she is at Pebbles and genuinely feel that she will miss it terribly come September 2016 but I also feel that her readiness to start ‘big school’ is mostly down to the amazing staff. I genuinely cannot praise the girls there enough. When we were having a few toddler hiccups, my daughters key worker took the time to sit down and discuss some things we could try both at nursery and at home. The improvement although wasn’t an overnight fix, the longer term outcome has been extremely positive. If anyone is looking for childcare, I would strongly and highly recommend you make an appointment with the team at Pebbles, you won’t regret it and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for my child for the past 18 months or so.

We have a child in the baby room and a child in the toddler room at Pebbles. I cannot speak highly enough of the nursery and the amazing team of carers. They absolutely love their time there and the staff who care for them. The team of staff work really well together. It is a warm, vibrant, safe and loving environment and the staff seem to really enjoy their jobs; they’re always bright and welcoming, cheery and supportive and pleased to see and greet the children (and us!) It is always evident how much the children do and learn every day and there is always something new happening; outside activities and walks, mud kitchens, search for bugs, sports days, crafts, messy play, stretch and grow classes, reading, letters, numbers, cultural days and world holidays, and all kinds of creative ways to learn about the real world; even an incredible musical nativity play at Xmas. The menu is amazing and made from scratch on site. We’re incredibly lucky to have such a warm and wonderful nursery – would highly recommend to anyone.

I cannot praise the nursery and it’s staff highly enough. My son has been attending for two years and they have been incredibly supportive and instrumental in helping to develop his speech, behaviour and confidence to enable him to be ready to start school in September. The staff are open, friendly and a great team loved by children and parents alike. Nothing is too much trouble and updates on children’s progress and achievement are shared on a daily basis keeping parents completely involved. The children are always engaged in activities whether indoors, on the covered decking, in the garden or exploring the fields and woods of the college campus and staff are always looking for new and improved activities to involve and inspire the children. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery.

Very good nursery. My daughter has been going for about 19 months since she was 1 year old and absolutely loves it. The nursery has really forwarded her development.

The whole family are delighted with Pebbles Day Nursery. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and it is obvious that the children are very happy there. We love hearing about the fun things they did that day. We really feel as though the staff want to work with us as our child develops and are fully invested in their future. The staff are very inventive in their planned activities, and I’m excited to try some of their ideas at home. Our child loves the outdoor play and nature walks. The quality of the food is truly excellent, and we have many new recipes to try at home. In short, we can’t think of anywhere better for our child.

As a new mom, I was very anxious about my baby starting nursery when I went back to work, but the staff and management at Pebbles Day Nursery could not have done more to make the process not only an easy one, but a happy one. Since starting nursery, my baby’s development has progressed an incredible amount, due to the hard work and attentiveness off the baby room staff. Hands down, the best thing about the nursery is the personal approach, and just how much the staff genuinely care for the children. A fabulous range of activities are facilitated, the menu is very impressive, communication between staff and parents is excellent, child development is a priority to the staff, and the management is wonderful. My baby is happy and cared for, which makes me one happy Mom.

Very friendly staff who go above and beyond to assure me that my son is happy (eg. phoning to say he is okay if he is upset when I drop him off). My son always says he likes the ‘ladies’ and they help play with him. Lots of info is given about what my son does/eats while he is at the nursery.
All members of staff are friendly, good range of activities done with the children and a good menu offered. I am very happy with the nursery and love knowing my son is very happy while he is there.
