March 30, 2021 at 12:00 amAs a family we feel very fortunate that our child is able to attend a nursery like Odds Farm. The staff give parents every confidence children are enjoying their time at nursery in a supportive and fun environment. It would be an added bonus if the nursery was able to update parents on children’s progress using tech/online platform/app for example.

March 31, 2021 at 12:00 amOur son has been attending the nursery since September 2020 and he absolutely loves it! It didn’t take long for him to settle in and the staff have always been so friendly and welcoming. His development has come on leaps and bounds since starting at the nursery and the regular focus weeks are a great way to keep in touch with how he is getting on and what could be worked on more. The daily diary is so useful for knowing what activities he has been doing that day. The farm setting is just fantastic and its so good to know that our son is out in the fresh air as much as possible and is able to see animals on a regular basis. Would thoroughly recommend Odds Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School.

April 5, 2021 at 12:00 amMy great-granddaughter attends Odds Farm Day Nursery and Pre-School. I have picked her up on a few occasions and it is so lovely to go to a nursery where the feedback that is given is in great detail. All of the staff and management are friendly and approachable. My great-granddaughter always talks about all of the girls in the Toddler room and takes part in some lovely activities. One of the biggest touches at the nursery is they support you in celebrating any upcoming birthdays, they helped my great-granddaughter to make such a lovely birthday card. I will definitely keep this for the memory box! I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, the outdoor space and the opportunity to spend time on the farm daily is just amazing!

April 7, 2021 at 12:00 amThe development I’ve seen with my child has been fantastic since they started at this nursery. The speech and development progression is amazing. My child loves going to nursery which is lovely to see. The staff I have spoken to have been very friendly and the day diaries they provide have been incredibly useful to us, enabling us to see what she has eaten throughout the day or how much sleep they had. My feedback would be that we have not yet seen any pictures of our child at nursery taking part in these activities which is a shame. I’d like there to be a way we can see more on what they get up too! Also, I’d like to see this nursery be more considerate with the environment. Use biodegradable nappy bags, eco-friendly nappies and wipes which will also contain less harmful chemicals than pampers.

August 6, 2021 at 12:00 amMy little boy has been going to this nursery for over a year and he absolutely loves going in every day and has so much fun when he is there. He loves all the staff and has an amazing bond with them. They are amazing at communicating everything that is going on and have always been there for both of us when needed. The way they have made the changes over the year due to Covid has made me feel at ease for having my son in the nursery.

October 29, 2021 at 12:00 amMy child attended the nursery for a year. The staff is all fantastic with the children and my child progressed a lot in a year.
I never saw a single photo of my child during his attendance, as we weren’t allowed in the building due to COVID. However, the daily diary was always a good idea for communication – if it was filled out correctly. The early year’s framework and journal I received after leaving was incomplete and thrown together last minute.
I didn’t particularly have a good experience with the admin/managerial side of the nursery. They seem to pick and choose their favourites for photos/opportunities and parents to chat to about experiences. I did not feel welcome after contacting the manager about an issue I had at the beginning of my child starting and feel like issues just got worse from there.
Overall, my child enjoyed going. And childcare is good, but management needs to improve.

November 18, 2021 at 12:00 amMy daughter started in January 2021 she was only 4 months old. She took a long time to settle and struggled with the transitions in the morning. During covid, the nursery still managed to keep the communication going by calling us every 4 weeks in regards to her development which we found extremely useful.
The practitioners who care for her adapt activities to include her even tho she was so young. She is now over the age of one and doing so well.

November 18, 2021 at 12:00 amMy two daughters attend odds farm day nursery & pre school and I could not wish for a better place to send my children. The staff are all so warm and friendly and after a few weeks of tears and struggling to settle my girls now happily go off to staff in the morning and have a great day whilst they are there! The opportunity to go to the farm is amazing and it is such a unique setting for a nursery. We are very lucky to have a space there and we can’t wait to watch our daughters grow and develop in this environment! Thank you to all staff at odds for taking such good care of my daughters.

November 22, 2021 at 12:00 amMy 4-year-old and my 1-year-old have been going to Odds Farm for over a year. They love their teachers and having access to the farm playground and animals.
The staff is very supportive and accommodating. I can go to work with complete peace of mind that they are not only being taken care of but also having lots of fun.

August 9, 2022 at 12:00 amWe can’t thank you and all of your staff at Odds Farm Nursery for your kindness, patience, support and the nurturing way you welcomed our child into nursery and helped him transition into nursery life! You’ve also supported us as parents greatly with our child’s behaviour, and for that, we will be always grateful to you all! We couldn’t have asked for better childcare for our child than what we receive from you all!
The staff here are one in a million.

August 9, 2022 at 12:00 amMy daughter loves this nursery! I was so reluctant to send her to nursery, I was dreading it… However, this nursery has changed my view entirely! My daughter is thriving in this setting. She loves the staff -She tells me they are her best friends! She has attended the setting since she was 11 months old so has been in all of the rooms! She is now so confident around adults and children and I put this down to the fantastic care and nurturing she receives there. Most days they visit the farm and in the preschool room the older children including my daughter, go to the farm for the whole day! They have a classroom down there which they use for crafts, singing, learning etc, but spend majority of the day outside with nature! It’s perfect! I love how welcoming they have recently made their entrance, they have tea and coffee, biscuits and cereals for the parents and siblings. There is also a toothbrushing area providing toothbrushes and paste plus seeds to plant at home! Well done to all!

August 9, 2022 at 12:00 amWhen my child started Nursery, I was quite worried as they’d had a bad experience in the past. However, the staff at Odds Farm have gone above and beyond at supporting both me and my baby, from constant photos being uploaded of my baby having fun playing, to helping collect her in the mornings. I can’t stress enough how much effort the team goes through to make sure my child had the best days. I can’t thank them enough for making my worries seem so silly.
The staff always say hello in the hallways and ask you how you’re doing, even when they look like they’re in a rush. Such a kind and friendly team. Would definitely recommend!

August 9, 2022 at 12:00 amOur child has been at this nursery for 8 months. Starting in the baby room. He took some time to settle at first, which we were reassured was quite usual.
It’s great that the children regularly go to the farm, and have onsite activities inside and also in the garden.
Staff turnover has been higher than we would have preferred, however our child has adapted to the new staff each time. Our current child allocated career is fabulous.

August 9, 2022 at 12:00 amMy 21-month-old daughter has been attending Odds Farm baby room since she was 9 months old. She only attends a few full days a week – however, wakes up every day asking if she can go to nursery! She prefers it to being with mummy and daddy it seems- which fills me with full confidence sending her in knowing how much she loves it there. She has come on leaps and bounds and is full of confidence. She gets along well with the staff in the baby room and has her favourites who she talks about at home regularly, along with a few friend’s names.
I love the fact that they take the children to the farm daily – and have a lot of outdoor play. This is the main reason I chose odds farm over other nurseries. Any queries or small problems I have raised in the past have been dealt with quickly and efficiently.

May 17, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son is now in preschool and is going from strength to strength. The staff are super and give all the children extra care, little cuddles and kind words of affection that no one sees. While it took my son a while to fully be himself and settle into Odds, I’ve never seen him happier at nursery than when he goes into the room now. He loves his trips to the farm for tractor rides, animal visits and seeing the performers. What a gorgeous, varied and rich experience he has there! It’s really hard to leave your precious child every day, but Odds are truly helping shape them into the adults they will become. Kindness and love mean the world to us and them.

May 24, 2023 at 12:00 amThis is an amazing nursery, and I am so happy with the provision. My daughter has been there for two years, and my eldest left last year.
The nursery is unique because of the opportunity to go to the farm every day. The facilities are clean and safe, and the staff all work incredibly hard. The food is locally sourced, and they are always introducing new items to the menu to encourage children to try more foods. They have lots of events/dress-up days, and the staff always go the extra mile to make it exciting.
The only flaw is that communication can be slow between the nursery and parents if you have an admin query. This is totally understandable though, because the staff are focused on caring for the children rather than responding to emails 24/7. It’s easier to pick up the phone or speak with them in person if you have a quick question (which is refreshing to find because normally you can’t speak to anyone these days!).
Absolutely recommend it, and I am so grateful to all the staff.

May 26, 2023 at 12:00 amWe were sold on the nursery’s fantastic setting at Odds Farm – but the care of our child was lacking and after several attempts to discuss improvements, none occurred and we decided to move nurseries.
Overview of their day at pick up was rushed and lacking info (sometimes by staff who had only been with them for only a couple of hours). Daily ‘farm visit’ was often just to the soft play area only. Bad communication, from inconsistent newsletters and wrongly advised event dates through to lack of documentation for incidents/accidents. Our child came home dirty – almost every day despite several changes of clothes being provided – and disengaged. We sometimes got fortnightly photos of our child via an app but they lacked any insight into their development or nursery experience – yet frustratingly social media pages marketing the nursery are updated very regularly. We regret sending our child to Odds and would not recommend it to other parents.

July 28, 2023 at 12:00 amI loved the nursery from day one and my little one thrived in the main building. Communication was good and her days were fun.
Then we moved to Mini Farmers and everything went downhill. The child-led approach meant the children were left to amuse themselves unless they went to the farm to pass the time.
Accidents were almost daily and behaviour was poorly managed, resulting in her frequently being bitten or hurt. The room is not designed for kids. Loo roll is not accessible when on the toilet and kids are in full view of the public if the door is open. We were often sent home in wet clothes as staff were too busy to change her.
Children are not monitored for progress and tracking forms showing next steps are not shared with parents. There is very little communication with parents except for inaccurate feedback at handover.
Staff turnover is extremely high. Many leaving due to poor management and those who stay clearly lack passion and training. I would not recommend this nursery.

July 28, 2023 at 12:00 amAfter 3 and a half years of my daughter attending the nursery, I was forced to remove her 8 weeks before she was due to finish. The situation became completely unbearable, with the nursery’s total inability to deal with problematic situations. The lack of management skills and the lack of trained staff became too much. The turnover of staff was a major concern for many of the parents and the constant failings in their duty of care and duty to provide a safe environment for the children. My child along with several other small girls was repeatedly bitten, kicked and attacked by the same boy. The authorities got involved, and the nursery attempted to deal with the child but consistently failed. They have a duty of care to provide a safe and healthy environment and they are currently incapable of doing this. If you care about your child’s safety and well-being then look elsewhere.

August 16, 2023 at 12:00 amMy four year old has just recently graduated from Odds Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School. She has been at the nursery since they opened and we’ve seen a huge improvement from the initial management. We also have a one year old in the baby room.
Both our girls are happy to go in, welcomed with big smiles and caring arms. We believe in our children’s intuition and they certainly look forward to going.
The parent app is a fantastic tool and we love all the updates and photos! We’ve had so many wonderful photos I’ve made my eldest a nursery memory book. For us the farm and facilities are an added bonus to an already very caring nursery. Our eldest is certainly ready for school thanks to the staff.
Thank you Odds Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School for helping our girls thrive in a wonderful early years setting.
