Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Tunbridge Wells

My two youngest children have been attending the Nuffy Bear Nursery at Nuffield Health, Knights Park, Tunbridge Wells since it opened earlier this year (2015). Both children absolutely love their sessions and look forward to going to nursery enormously, chatting about the staff and activities far more than they talk about anything else they do outside of nursery! The children seem genuinely disappointed when it is not a nursery day! I have found the staff and nursery manager to be wonderfully caring and enthusiastic. They really do go out of their way to keep the children well occupied and ensure the children have a varied timetable of activities. Overall I am delighted with the children’s reaction to and progress at the setting and these thoughts are echoed by my parents who have collected the children on occasion. Knights Park Leisure Park is convenient to get to and there is always plenty of parking. My one reservation before enrolling the children was the relatively small outdoor space, but this has not been a problem. The children get outside plenty when weather permits and as the nursery itself is quite large and they also have use of other space within the Nuffield building the children still get plenty of physical play even when it is raining. Over 3’s also have swimming lessons at the Nuffield pool. And did I say how lovely the staff are…?

We love this nursery and our son has been very happy here over the last 18 months, starting in the baby room and moving on to the main room. All the staff are brilliant, very welcoming and professional. They work hard to find activities each child enjoys and to adapt learning activities to suit their interests. The meals are good and the children are encouraged to try different foods and to sit nicely together at mealtimes. Highly recommended!

My daughter started attending Nuffy Bear Day Nursery over the summer of 2017. I decided to move her out when I moved school for my older one – it meant drop off at one location. I very quickly realised that that was the wrong decision.
My daughter has not once complained of any of her basic needs being overlooked. I appreciate this can happen when caring for many kids at the same time. But the staff are attentive. I am also quite pedantic about nutrition. I mentioned this to the Manager on the first day, and that I might be picky if diet isn’t well balanced. I have had no complaints. I can confirm it’s no less healthy compared to the diet I provide at home.
I have decided to stick it out with Nuffy Bear’s because it gives me peace of mind. I’m sure other nurseries have far more equipment and higher OFSTED ratings. But what matters most for me is a team of warm, experienced and attentive carers who can make nursery feel like a second home. Thank you for all your hard work and positive attitude!

Nuffy Bear has been an amazing day nursery for our son. He is autistic and they are always supportive to us, and especially to my son. He loves coming to the nursery and gets so excited. I love how they cook healthy meals for kids. The staff are very friendly and supportive. Staff have been so amazing to my son. With the support we get from them we owe them so much. My son is now starting be vocal and we give all our thanks to them for his ongoing development.

Our boys have been at Nuffys since they were babies and absolutely loved it. The nursery is bright and cheerful. The staff genuinely care about the children’s development and created strong bonds with both boys. The care and teaching seem to be very tailored to the child’s interests and needs. Our eldest loved swimming lessons. Would highly recommend.

I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at Nuffy Bear. From the settling in July until now, the staff have worked so well with my daughter and my family to make sure that everyone is happy. My daughter is now a nursery enthusiast and it is thanks to the dedication of the staff- two members of staff, in particular, have worked so hard with my daughter to make her feel welcomed and loved while away from my husband and I and have taken the time to get to know all her quirks and routines to make the transition to nursery life a pleasant one. Nothing is too much for them; they have been so flexible with allowing her to go an extra day as I am a nurse and have needed further support during the pandemic. Thank you to all the Nuffy Bear team for all your continued hard work.

Our twin boys have been attending Nuffy Bear Nursery, Tunbridge Wells, since May 2019.
It is abundantly clear they have a wonderful team of ladies who are committed to caring, teaching and nurturing our children in a way that fills us with confidence every time we drop them off at the nursery.
The boys have flourished at Nuffy Bear and they are constantly being observed and monitored by the staff to make sure they are developing and learning so they are ready to progress to the next stage of their childhood.
The staff work well as a team and never miss even the small details that parents need to know about. They have supported us as parents and offered guidance when we have reached out to them. We have got to know certain members of the team very well and as parents, we feel that those individuals are simply irreplaceable. I am so grateful my children have had the privilege of growing up in their care.

Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Tunbridge Wells came highly recommended by a good friend and from our first enquiries and interaction, I felt very reassured in our choice. Our daughter settled in much easier than anticipated having had a year of maternity leave with me and this was a reflection of the caring, attentive nature and dedication of the staff. She is already making great progress with staff incorporating her home routine with opportunities to try out new things. It’s really lovely being able to enjoy the workday knowing our little one is so well cared for. The food is excellent too!

Our boys love Nuffy Bear and as parents we couldn’t be happier. The staff have always gone above and beyond to make sure our boys are well looked after. They genuinely care about all of the children and always offer to help them with any life changes such as the recent birth of their baby brother.

One of our boys can be quite shy and they have made extra efforts to help welcome him in the mornings, ensuring he is always greeted calmly and with the biggest smile. This makes it so much easier for us to leave him.

The boys have made lovely friends at the nursery too and they have encouraged them to communicate and play really nicely with each other.

I would give 5 stars across the board but I feel it would be amazing for the staff and children if they had a larger outdoor space (not necessarily something they can control).

We are so pleased with the care our boys receive there and we would definitely recommend the nursery.
