Ninewells Nursery

Our eldest was here from 7 months old and is now entering the pre-school room. We were thrilled to be offered a place for our youngest to start in January. For us, we very much like the relaxed, kid-orientated atmosphere. There is a joyful spontaneity as well here where sporadic walks, leaf collecting, outdoor painting or sparklers and hot chocolate on Bonfire Night etc are fully embraced whatever the weather. For that peace of mind, to know your kids are in such a fantastic and supportive setting to allow your focus at your own workplace is priceless. I think the team and key workers are very quick to see the individual kid and adapt to that kid’s needs. Whereas the management, very astutely recognises that parents need looking after too. We cannot praise Ninewells Childcare centre highly enough and sense so lucky that we have such a welcoming, adaptive and considerate childcare centre right on site of our work.

From the integration in his first days in the baby room to the progression into the toddler room, he has been very well cared for and aided in all areas of his development.
The childcare centre itself is very spotless and tidy and has a homely sense from the minute you walk in the door. From the management down to the care team, there is a real sense of genuine care and nothing is too much hassle. The team are consistently welcoming and smiling and this clearly comes across in their day to day work as my son’s time at the childcare centre is the highlight of his week and even at home he continues to talk about the team.
The content of their days are consistently full of enjoyable activities and there’s consistently a story for my son to tell me at each pick up. I couldn’t praise everyone involved at Ninewells enough and will be sad when my son moves on. However, my newborn will most definitely be attending Ninewells once the time comes for her to make that step. Ninewells Childcare centre has been a pivotal part in my son’s development.

He has had a excellent time there and enjoyed it very much. The team have all been incredible. My son really struggled to settle in initially and the team were so patient and understanding with him and us. My son also had a few food allergies and cheerful to say that they followed the dietary restrictions strictly. They have been incredible throughout and I am ever grateful. My son started attending Ninewells childcare centre full time when he was just 8 months until he was 24 months.

All team are lovely and I sense so at ease leaving her in their care for the day! My daughter started going to Ninewells Childcare centre when she was 12-weeks-old, and they have been excellent with her.

We adore the childcare centre. The team are super welcoming and approachable and make you sense at ease leaving your kids in their care. A lovely garden area that is utilised in all weathers, excellent array of activities undertake and a really nice community sense about the place. Would definitely suggest. 2 of my sons have gone to Ninewells Childcare centre and my 3rd will be starting next year.

My little boy has settled in really well and is very cheerful trotting into the childcare centre in the morning. This comes as such a relief to me as I was a little bit anxious in the beginning. The team have been fantastic, everyone is very welcoming and welcoming and the childcare centre has a lovely homely sense. I’m consistently provided with excellent feedback on my son’s day and whenever I’ve asked for aspects of his care to be changed (such as nap times), it has been done without hesitation. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this childcare centre to anyone – it’s excellent. I am absolutely thrilled with the standard of childcare centre care provided by Ninewells Childcare centre.

My youngest who is now 18 months has been attending since she was 10 months! All the team are so lovely and attentive and take a real interest in the kids and their families. My youngest who can be hard to please at times absolutely loves it and runs into the childcare centre without a backwards glance! My oldest still enjoys visiting so she can see her old childcare centre educators!
There is consistently something going on at the childcare centre each week, whether that be a visit from someone to talk to them about their job (police, NHS team, fireman) to people visiting with animals to days out and parties! They really go all out to make sure the kids have a excellent time! From the home-cooked meals to the messy playtime and walks in the woods, I know my daughter is well cared for. All the team are a real credit to the childcare centre and I can’t suggest them enough! My oldest daughter now 6 attended from when she was 2 years old to just before starting school.

I have happily recommended Ninewells to other parents and would echo other reviews in that the standard of care and facilities at the childcare centre are outstanding. The team are consistently supportive and accommodating and consistently willing to “go that extra mile” so to speak. The Ninewells Childcare centre manager, in particular, has organised birthday parties for my daughter at the childcare centre, which clearly demonstrates how the team go “over and above” their roles. My daughter has attended Ninewells Childcare centre from age 14 months and she is now 4 years old.

I was recommended Ninewells childcare centre by my little girl’s old key worker so set up a meeting with the manager of the childcare centre. From the first time speaking to her, I could see my little girl was going to be in great hands. From her first day about 2-months ago roughly, every report I get when I pick her up is she’s been exceptional, she has settled in amazingly well, and that’s all down to the team. I can’t thank them enough for helping us in such a difficult situation! When Covid-19 started getting worse, and the lockdown was about to happen our normal childcare centre had to close causing me to panic about what to do with my little girl as both I and my partner are key workers.

Our son has been attending since he was 14-months-old. He is very cheerful here and often doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day.
Team are attentive, consistently have time to chat and clearly know him well. Thank you to all of the team for their excellent care. I would highly suggest Ninewells Childcare centre.
