July 5, 2017 at 12:00 amMy daughter has been attending this setting for two months now. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I feel very happy leaving her in their care. When myself or my partner collect her, we get lots of information about what she has been doing that day. She seems to be enjoying a large variety of activities and meals. We get to see lots of photos of what she has been doing at nursery and it is just so nice to see her enjoying her time there.

July 6, 2017 at 12:00 amMy son attends The Barn Nursery, Long Newton. He absolutely loves it and gets so excited to go. He sometimes even asks me to pick him up later because he doesn’t want to come away. The rooms are bright and clean with lots of activities for the children and there’s a big, secure, garden for them to play in. Each day they do different things. The staff are very friendly, helpful, genuinely care and treat each child as an individual, looking out for their personal needs. They get well fed at meal times and often enjoy picnics at the local park. Since attending, my son has already been on several outings too. He is collected by the staff for after school club and looks forward to the journey to The Barn each day. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone. I feel at ease when my son is in their care and know the staff will do everything they can to help him have an enjoyable time and keep him safe. Keep up the excellent work and thank you! 🙂

July 17, 2018 at 12:00 amBoth my children attend The Barn Nursery and they absolutely love it. When I drop my children off, they are so excited to be going and name the staff and their friends as people they are excited to see. On pick up, they are so happy that they want to continue to stay and play. The staff are lovely and continuously interact with the children. They make the most of the surrounding area – constantly taking the children on nature trails, making dens, teddy bear picnics and going on ‘bear hunts’. Equally, the children love it indoors too – there are constant activities set up for them where you can really see how they are learning through play and has really advanced my children’s social skills. They have signing tots regularly visit the nursery and undertake lots of lovely trips out – usually arranged around the interest of the children. Ultimately it is the staff and particularly the Manager that make this place so special and magical – which is why my children love it so much.

November 9, 2018 at 12:00 amSimply WOW!
My daughter has attended this nursery for some time now and have to say it is awesome. They focus heavily on developmental play and spend regular time outdoors exploring nature which has helped my daughter loads.
The manager is outstanding as are all the staff and my daughter clearly thinks of them as her special friends with healthy respect.
She has made many friends there and the variety of activity, play, learning they do is amazing.
I would highly recommend this environment to anyone.

July 9, 2022 at 12:00 amWe absolutely love Middleton St George Day Nursery! Both our children attend 2 days per week and absolutely love their days there. We have been using the nursery for almost 3 years, and the staff are wonderful, helpful and supportive to both the children. They know our children so well, understand their likes and dislikes and abilities. Activities and food are varied, they spend a lot of time outside getting messy and having lots of fun! Thank you so much. X

July 9, 2022 at 12:00 amFantastic nursery, with lovely friendly staff. My two boys look forward to going and always have a great time, especially at forest school and during holidays with all the great trips. Overall a lovely village nursery, highly recommend.

July 9, 2022 at 12:00 amMy child loves attending Middleton St George Day Nursery. She is happy and content with the care received and developing great relationships with staff. She has learnt so much within the environment and always comes home with a story to tell me. She loves the outdoor space and likes to join in all of the activities provided. I would recommend Middleton St George Day Nursery to other parents.

July 9, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son joined the nursery in January 2021 at 10 months old. I can’t recommend them highly enough. All the staff are friendly and great with the children. Throughout the covid period I always felt safe leaving my child with them. Every day they do different activities – no two days are the same. I particularly love how they use the outdoor space and get the children involved with the local community and village life. The food choices are varied and my son eats everything (plus extra!) The report at the end of the day keeps us informed and the regular newsletter ensures we know what is going on. The fact that my son smiles when I mention members of the team and says he loves them, says it all!

July 12, 2022 at 12:00 amI’m super happy with the nursery my little girl goes to, she attends 2 mornings a week – the ladies at the nursery have always been welcoming and have put me at ease when my little girl first attended and was very upset about leaving me – she has now been there over a year and is always happy to go in now alone and when she leaves she is full of smiles, telling me all about the fantastic things she has done that day. I can honestly say I never worry about her there and am happy to say that my second child will be going there too – her development has come on leaps and bounds and that is down to the nursery – thanks.

July 29, 2022 at 12:00 amWe’ve nothing but positive things to say about our son’s experience at Middleton St George Day Nursery – he joined shortly before turning one, now nearly five, and he has enjoyed attending ever since. The staff are all lovely and very genuinely caring. The nursery has always provided him with a safe, nurturing and fun environment. He enjoys the meals, time spent outside, and the activities on offer and has never made a negative comment about his time spent here. We feel very lucky to have such a great nursery in the village.

October 11, 2022 at 12:00 amNothing but positive feedback for all of the staff at the nursery. My youngest daughter started in September after leaving an alternative setting and she was made to feel right at home straight away and welcomed wholeheartedly. She settled in really quickly as a result and has loved it every day since. My older girls now also attend after-school club and have also been welcomed by everyone and love seeing their little sister after school. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and I know I can be confident my girls will be well looked after. Highly recommend this setting.

November 3, 2022 at 12:00 amBoth of our children have attended Middleton St George Day Nursery for more than a year now. I could say a lot about the wonderful staff, activities including forest school and external French classes, days out etc community spirit is at the heart of the nursery. They were an incredible support for us during Covid and carried on the hard work. Our children often come back with paint or mud on them and a full wet change of clothes in their bag, but that’s why we like it! They are active, curious of everything, well looked after and absolutely adore the place and people there. The best proof is that they now fight to ring the doorbell in the morning to get in first.
