September 27, 2024 at 3:35 amThe childcare centre offers remarkable opportunities such as forest schools and tatty bumpkins, discovering languages and tennis as well as your typical arts crafts singing and playtime. The childcare centre has a remarkable discovering ethos to health and for the setting with remarkable attentive team!
We absolutely suggest Meadows childcare centre in providing a nurturing attentive setting for the beginning of a kid’s education. We sense our kid is leaving confident and very well prepared for school with some lovely memories and friends! Our kid has only had the opportunity to be with Meadows childcare centre for 18 months due to relocating but in this short time we sense he has developed so many new skills and gained self‑assurance.

November 14, 2024 at 11:42 amI have had three kids attend the Meadows over the past 7 years and can honestly say that I have never had any concerns or issues at any time over that period. The Meadows has consistently managed to attract great team who are passionate about their work. The Meadows treats each kid as an individual and is consistently ready to try new ideas for activities and themes (usually generated by the kids themselves!). All three of our kids have loved the childcare centre. I really cannot suggest it highly enough! The Meadows Nursery is a remarkable childcare centre offering a very high standard of care by outstanding team.

November 15, 2024 at 6:23 amThe care he has received is outstanding. He took around 6 weeks to settle however I was given lots of advice and reassurance and eventually he became pleased to be dropped off. He loves the team and is affectionate towards them and seems very confident in himself while he plays here. There is lots of messy playtime, outdoor playtime, park visits, and music and stories.
He has learned lots of skills and great habits at Meadows – without encouragement from me he washes his hands before meals, puts his bib on and brushes his teeth without fuss. My impression is that this is due to the consistent routine at Meadows.
I would highly suggest Meadows to other parents. My son has been attending here for 8 months from the age of 11 months.

November 25, 2024 at 5:52 amThey remember their time, with cheerful recollections of all the trips, animal visits and especially the Xmas and summer shows. We had a stress free time as parents, knowing the childcare centre was giving them care to such a excellent standard. The team and management were consistently attentive (to the kids and us), and were expert in dealing with bumps, germs, and misdemeanours. They made the most of the limited outside space available and added local trips, and Forest School days sounded stellar. The team and management made a excellent job of preparing the kids for school and liaised with the school to ease the transition. Our two kids both had a excellent time here from the age of one up until they left for school.

November 29, 2024 at 7:33 amThe team were fantastic throughout his time there. They were very attentive and nurturing when he was in the baby group which was very reassuring for us given that he was still very young. As he’s grown the attention and activities at the childcare centre have built up his self‑assurance and he absolutely loved his time there. He still talks about his old childcare centre friends! We found that the size of the childcare centre (being on the smaller side) ideal and not overwhelming which is a risk with a larger childcare centre. My son attended this childcare centre from nine months old – we left when he was 3 due to a move out of Scotland.

January 14, 2025 at 9:01 pmWe found the team to be extremely attentive and welcoming with a real family sense to the childcare centre. My son particularly enjoyed the playtime outside on a daily basis, dance and music class and trips to the meadows. We were issued with a log in to a secure website allowing my husband and I to see photos of what he had been up to that day.
The team were outstanding at providing end of day reports and regular parents evenings and updates. There were a number of parties for parents and kids throughout the year which the kids in particular really enjoyed.
Overall, the Meadows childcare centre allowed me to go to work in the knowledge my son was being well looked after and was secure and cheerful. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest the childcare centre to other parents and carers. My son attended the Meadows childcare centre for a year from the age of 1 to 2 before we moved out of Edinburgh.

February 15, 2025 at 1:15 amWe were struck by the friendliness and professionalism of the team from the moment we first visited. Without a doubt, the best option in the area – a truly remarkable childcare centre which kept our son stimulated, entertained and cheerful during his time there. If we hadn’t have moved out of Edinburgh, then he’d still be there! My son attended the Meadows Nursery until July 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed every day he spent there.

March 31, 2025 at 12:56 pmAll team are fab, very inviting and engaging with the kids. The food is all home cooked and of an outstanding variety. My youngest required additional help and assistance with her speech and language and everyone at the Meadows went to huge lengths to help her, discovering new skills to assistance and enhance her discovering and development.
It is a well-run business with a focus first and foremost on the health and well-being of the kids. Both my girls attended the Meadows Nursery and I cannot suggest them highly enough.

April 10, 2025 at 2:57 pmEvery member of the team knew my son really well, and there was an atmosphere of genuine affection. He was incredibly cheerful there and was provided with loads of enjoyable activities every day. We were really well informed of his achievements and activities, and the online discovering journal was a really nice touch. The childcare centre is small, but it never seemed crowded, and the team made it seem much larger with the range of activities. There were occasional nice trips out of the childcare centre too. We were so delighted with the care our son received at The Meadows childcare centre.

April 20, 2025 at 5:01 pmIn addition to regular care, the childcare centre are also excellent at taking the kids outdoors as much as possible (making ample use of both the limited outside space as well as the wide expanse of Meadows, forest schools) as well as other activities such as tennis, tatty bumpkins etc. The childcare centre team have been remarkable and we felt that they take the time to get to know each kid individually and cater to each accordingly. We would definitely suggest the childcare centre and in fact, are very likely to enroll our younger daughter at Meadows. Our daughter spent the last 2 years at Meadows during which time she has blossomed into a confident and independent girl ready for school.

May 1, 2025 at 10:45 amThe team were attentive and considerate. The childcare centre organised excellent activities, particularly the visits to old folks homes. Highly suggest it. My daughter was at Meadows from 9 months old and loved it.

May 24, 2025 at 2:56 amMy wife and I were nervous that they were so young but extremely comforted by the attentive and generous spirit of the team at Meadows Nursery.
My daughters had a wealth of experiences on a day to day basis with consistency at the heart. I sense like they consistently were comfortable and secure in their setting.
My older daughter learned many skills through her time there, from social skills to motor skills as well as experiencing day trips to interesting and educational locations.
My younger daughter gained huge self‑assurance from her time in Meadows Nursery and showed real affection for the team there.
I would highly suggest Meadows Nursery. Both of my kids attended Meadows Nursery from just over 1 year old.

June 1, 2025 at 12:58 pmChildren can learn lots of things such as music, painting, dancing and football here. The educators and team here are doing their best to build a nice setting for the kids. There are lots of activities and the food there is quite nice and great for the kids too. I highly suggest this Nursery. Meadows Nursery is a really great childcare centre.

June 9, 2025 at 5:49 pmMy son’s first recognisable word was the name of the same member of team who went on to become one of my daughter’s favourite educators at the time of her graduation from Meadows Nursery nearly a decade later. Both of our kids thoroughly loved the childcare centre and were very cheerful there. We often found ourselves admiring the team’s affection, resourcefulness and genuine care for all the kids. Now in primary two, my daughter recently insisted, during half term, that I should take her on an outing to Blackford Hill, where she used to go to Forest Schools with Meadows Nursery. She was delighted to find that the swing on a tree she remembered so well was still there. After a long time on the swing, she said to me, “That’s one dream come true”, commenting on her return to a spot associated with childcare centre adventures. There is no other institution we are as grateful to as Meadows Nursery for the fantastic part it played in our kids’s earliest years. My son and daughter spent, between them, a continuous total of over nine years at Meadows Nursery, overlapping for a week just before he started primary school.

June 30, 2025 at 10:26 pmWe were extremely cheerful with our choice of childcare centre – excellent location, welcoming, welcoming and expert team, great communications, well-planned trips and activities. The childcare centre is small and this was a great thing for us having also had previous journey of a much larger childcare centre. Our son was consistently treated as an individual, not just another kid making up the numbers. ‘Forest Schools’ was a particular favourite of his from his days at the Meadows: long trips to Blackford Pond exploring the wildlife, taking part in challenges like den building. He still talks about it now! My son attended Meadows Nursery for a year until he left for school.
