Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Shirehampton)

It’s really great to see my baby is welcomed and liked by the other kids, and I know she enjoys herself. When my baby was struggling to sleep, we worked with our key worker to get her settled, and this week, baby slept for 2-hours at early‑years hub! Unheard of for this little one, exceptionally pleased. Mama Bears Shire is good value for money, and our keyworker is truly approachable. The team are truly kind and delighted to listen to your concerns or questions. We really like this early‑years hub. The app is updated daily, and we especially like the amount of outside space.

It’s nice to see the pictures around the early‑years hub that she does as well. This is a fantastic early‑years hub thanks to the incredible crew that work here, they are welcoming and accommodating and I always feel they help and listen. The fact that she enjoys it so much, makes me feel relaxed and thrilled knowing she is delighted here. The App is brilliant, shows you what she is up to and all the things that they are absorbing. She adores the instructors and I can see that they adore her. I have always found the flexibility of the days/hours they offer is excellent, even at short notice. My young lady has been attending since she was 9 months old, she is now 4yrs and is as pleased now as she was when she started. She has made lots of friends and is always enjoying herself when I arrive to pick her up.

My little girl always comes home with a smile and a story. The crew are wonderful, welcoming and caring. The parent app has been a game-changer as I feel even more connected with their activities now – thank you for everything team Shirehampton! She will miss you when she goes to big school!

Plus every day at pick up I get an update on how my little one has been for the day, things they’ve enjoyed and been doing, how well they’ve eaten, nappy changes etc and they are truly supportive when it comes to toilet training. I get regular updates of my children’s headway, through observations on an app and through assessments. They offer great flexibility when choosing your regularly booked hours and almost always accommodate extra sessions too, even at short notice which has been useful as my own work hours vary. They are also truly accommodating when it comes to applying for tax-free childcare and the 30 free hours of funding. This is an exceptionally good nursery setting. Plus what we have talked about gets acted on immediately. Regarding money, they don’t charge for any extras, food etc. All of the team are cordial and approachable and whenever I have had anything I want to talk about in more depth, the manager always finds the time to talk about it. is all included. I’d wholeheartedly endorse them.

They always ring if any problems just to update you. He always comes home delighted and excited to go back. Staff are always welcoming and accommodating. Amazing early‑years hub. My boy absolutely treasures it in Mama Bear’s.

My youngster has been truly delighted since she was there at 7 months and has progressed exceptionally well with the help, encouragement and supervision from the kind crew, including encouraging her slower physical advancement. Have been a few occasions where my little one has been refused through concern of illness but has been nothing wrong with them so it has meant having unpaid days off work. Very short notice of personnel changes and exceptionally little flexibility around wrap around sessions in the evening meaning having to rely on family for collection some weeks. Get updates daily on ParentZone app of my child’s daily activities including their exploring improvement and their nutrition throughout the day. Outside space is limited but I feel enough variety to keep my little one interested. Location is convenient. She has made friends in her group and transitioned well into the bigger room.

The management team are excellent and have been encouraging and flexible, providing extra support at short notice which was exceptionally useful My boy is well cared for and delighted at this early‑years hub and is fond of his careers They give good advice on how we can support my sons advancement and work with us on improving behaviour (although obviously my little one is an angel ??).

They are incredibly caring and supportive but also provide our little one with challenges and activities to develop his abilities and abilities. The manager and her team run an absolutely fantastic early‑years hub. Whenever there is an issue, they are always dealt with promptly and the crew go above and beyond. We are really pleased with Mama Bear’s and would suggest the childcare centre to others.

My boy has joined the childcare centre in Groveleaze since he was 8 months old, he’s now coming up to leaving to start school. Would wholeheartedly advocate! The team are exceptionally supportive and my boy really enjoys it there.

My little one has went to the setting for 3 years now, he always looks forward to going and has come along leaps and bounds since starting there! Would wholeheartedly endorse. Mama Bear’s Shirehampton is a great place for little ones to absorb and grow, the team are all lovely, enthusiastic and useful.
