Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Yeovil)

My son has been at Mama Bear’s since October 2018 just before his 2nd birthday. As a child who was very attached to me he found it difficult to initially settle into nursery life, as a mother this made me so anxious and worried but I soon came to the realisation that every single member of staff was caring, kind, helpful, nurturing and all-round lovely ladies.
The nursery is inviting and informative and has brought my son on leaps and bounds with the excellent planning of activities and various learning opportunities each week.
My son is now in preschool and his journey will soon be over with Mama Bear’s as he heads off to school which makes me feel a lot of different emotions although I feel the nursery has set him up for the best possible start to his school life.

Both my children have attended from the age of 1 and have thrived in such a supportive and nurturing environment. Both love going in each day and I love hearing about what they have been up to and have achieved when I collect them, Mama Bear’s offer a wide range of activities and learning with lots of time outside which my two love. The staff are caring and know how to get the best from each individual child. We are so grateful for the experiences they have had and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to everyone. My eldest has almost finished his time at Mama Bear’s and will be very sad to leave, but I know he has had the best set up ready for school thanks to everyone at Mama Bear’s.

My daughter started in December 2021 and I could not be happier with Mama Bear’s. She is clearly very happy there and every member of staff is greeted with a smile. There are lots of activities they do with the children including painting, outside play and lots of appropriate toys. The menu is seasonal and varied – I wish I could eat it too! The opening hours are perfect as I have quite a long commute. I was worried about naps, but the team have done a wonderful job getting her to sleep despite me thinking she is quite needy in that department. Highly recommend – I recommend them to all my friends!

My son absolutely loves his one day a week at Mama Bear’s, he gets excited coming into the car park and is always smiling when I collect him. The baby room staff have always been very welcoming and caring towards us as a family and are very accommodating to any needs. I love the use of the app so we can see what our little boy has been up to during his day. Every contact I have had with Mama Bear’s has been positive.

I have experienced some health issues with myself and my child and the nursery has been very supportive assisting me with personal messages of any infections in the nursery at present with daily updates so I can make an informed decision on if I should enter the building or if I should send my child as we both have weakened immunity. I cannot thank you enough for the support I have received.

For the last 8 years, Mama Bear’s in Yeovil has been an amazing support from baby room to pre-school for my growing family. They all go above and beyond in nurturing and helping the children learn and grow. Nothing is ever too much trouble and all staff are there to answer any questions anytime you need them and go the extra mile to make sure your child is happy and developing as they should.
This setting is one in a million and you won’t in my opinion find another place as caring and as giving as Mama Bear’s Yeovil.

My son gets very excited as soon as he sees the car park, it’s a great environment for both play and learning where I feel he is not just a child to look after but cared for and nurtured, the team do an excellent job looking after both his playing and educational needs! And his eating is excellent! The menu provides a balance of nutrition and good hearty meals. I’m often quite envious when I see what he’s eating for the day whilst I’m sat at work with my sandwiches!

My children have made great progress since joining Mama Bear’s. They love going to nursery and feel safe and secure in the setting.

So happy with my son’s experience of Mama Bear’s and I’m really pleased with the level of care and facilities provided. The staff are always so welcoming, friendly, caring and kind and it really does make a huge difference. I feel confident leaving him every day in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. I feel Mama Bear’s go above and beyond with any issues or any illnesses and are also very informative. Love the app and the manager is so lovely I can really see the difference they have made from when my son started! Learning wise he is doing well and can see he does get the time in his environment to learn new things and most importantly enjoy them. Thank you so much, really appreciated and it will be really sad when he moves on.

Mama Bear’s day nursery in Yeovil is fantastic. My son has flourished there, and the staff can’t do enough for us. They always let us know how he is getting on, and always find time to talk to us to give us updates on his day or any worries we may have. My son’s confidence has improved and he is always so happy to be going there. I have daily updates on the app so I know when he sleeps/eats etc. although we would love more pictures but I appreciate the staff are very busy! The staff genuinely care about the kids at the nursery and I would not hesitate to recommend the nursery!
