Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Torquay)

As a covid baby mama I was quite anxious about sending my son to nursery but also knew how important it was for him to socialise, especially with all the lockdowns. From the one-hour taster session where he didn’t want to leave as he was having so much fun to now, where he looks forward to nursery days and knows exactly where to go when we get out of the car. All the nursery nurses are amazing and really do care about the kids, they show them compassion and understanding. In a short space of time, my son went from barely walking to now almost running. From hardly speaking to now singing himself to sleep. I honestly could keep going on and on about how great this nursery and all the employees are. Thank you for taking such great care of him, he really does love it!

My grandson settled at Mama Bear’s in Torquay a month ago. He has settled in and is so happy there. He is a very strong-willed and lively little boy who needs guidance and time. I have found this nursery to be amazing with him. They are extremely professional and caring. Handing a child over to strangers is very difficult, but this nursery has made it so easy.

My Daughter has been at Mama Bear’s Day Nursery & Pre-School for 18 months now. I honestly cannot fault the nursery at all. My daughter is thriving and has become more confident. I love hearing about her day and all the wonderful activities she joins in with. I am so glad I decided to send her to Mama Bear’s. It is the best nursery in the area. I was delighted when they received their outstanding Ofsted last year, as I truly believe the nursery and team are outstanding. The Manager and Staff are a credit to the company.

The nursery is an amazing setting. My niece has thrived since being with the nursery. Her confidence has grown and her knowledge is amazing. She has learnt so many things since being in nursery. She loves going every week and tells me all about it when I see her. She loves the staff and the setting. I believe the staff all do an amazing job. The nursery is managed well, all staff are very welcoming. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a nursery.

My third child is currently at Mama Bears Nursery and I’ve never had a problem! The staff are super friendly, always smiling and have been super helpful, I’m always asking for advice if I need it and I get it with no judgements. I think you’re all amazing!

Cannot thank Mama Bears enough for all they have done for my son. He has come on leaps and bounds since attending. It’s such a friendly environment and has always felt safe and secure when dropping off and picking him up. You have helped our boy in so many ways and we can’t thank the team enough!

My son has attended Mama Bear’s since he was 18 months old. As he is a Covid baby with some additional challenges, it was important to me to find a place that would support and understand his needs and I feel the staff at Mama Bear’s do just that. He really enjoys nursery; all of his key workers have been brilliant, demonstrating a knowledge of his personality and needs that is both reassuring and comforting to me as a mum. The nursery is well-managed and the staff are approachable, kind and knowledgeable. I was thrilled when they achieved their (deserved) Outstanding OFSTED status. My son has made progress at Mama Bear’s that I don’t think he’d have made just being at home; he gets to participate in all sorts of wonderful activities, making it far easier to get him to bed on the nights he’s attended! I definitely plan to send my next little one to Mama Bear’s in the near future.

Since my daughter started in the summer last year, I’ve seen a huge improvement in her speech, fine motor skills and behaviour. She always comes home with a smile on her face! The staff are all lovely and very helpful. I’ve had no issues or problems here whatsoever. I would definitely recommend the nursery to anyone else.

My son has been attending this nursery for two years now and I must say, his communication skills have improved and he’s more expressive than before thanks to the help of the teachers of the nursery. Additionally, the manager is helpful whenever I have concerns or requests.

Both my boys have attended Mama Bears, the staff are always really friendly and interact with the children so well. Vicky and the team put a lot of effort into making sure the children get the most out of their sessions, always doing lots of different activities.
