Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Paignton - Midvale Road)

I have 2 children at Mama Bears Midvale Road Paignton and both are very happy there.
The range of activities they do is fantastic and both children are able to be creative and learn. My 3-year-old is in the preschool room and has started learning how to write letters and numbers. Mama Bears were also a great help when potty training. He started at the nursery from about 10 months old and is extremely sociable and friendly and his language skills are advanced for his age. I had absolutely no hesitation in sending my daughter when I returned back to work after maternity leave. She is now 18 months and has been going to the nursery since she was 1. She is extremely independent and sociable and this is in part down to the nursery.
All the staff are lovely and really make an effort with all the children.
Highly recommended this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Mama Bear’s for quite some time now. Thanks to the dedication of the staff her ability and growth has been very good and she seems to have grown up so much this year! Every member of staff we have come across have been lovely and very engaging, taking a keen interest in my daughter and her learning/happiness. Other than having to get up early, my daughter absolutely loves going to nursery to see her friends and her teachers! She has been very well looked after and the communication between the nursery and us parents has been great. Unfortunately, we’ve kept her out of nursery during the pandemic but have one very excited little girl who gets to go back in a week’s time!
Would 100% recommend Mama Bear’s as a nursery to anyone looking. Couldn’t find a single fault and we are very happy we chose them in the first place.

Both my children have been to this nursery now. My eldest who’s now 4 and has not long left really enjoyed so I was more than happy to put my daughter in too.
She can have space at the nursery at my son’s school but I love the way the staff handle things and I really like the whole feel of the nursery and the running of it.

Wonderful nursery. My son enjoys it so much and the staff are so sweet! My little boy has learned so much in such a short space of time and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. My son has made some real bonds.

My daughter (3 years old) has fitted into Mama Bear’s straight away. She has formed friendships with the other children and has a really close bond with the staff. She is learning loads and enjoys it. They have prepared her well for school in September. We have never had any issues with Mama Bear’s and I would recommend them to everyone.

My daughter has settled in Midvale extremely well, she started in April. She is very fond of all the girls who work there, talking about them at home and is always excited to go into nursery to see them.
My son also went to this nursery from 18 months right up until he started school, there really wasn’t any other settings I would send my children to.

My daughter absolutely loves her nursery days at Mama Bear’s Paignton – Midvale Road. She is always happy to go in and comes out telling me all about her day with her friends and the staff. She does a variety of activities during the day which she really enjoys. They have a good variety of foods at mealtimes. The staff are always happy to listen should you have any questions/queries and are happy to help.

Such a lovely team, both my boys are so happy here. My eldest has lots of friends and they spend a good amount of time outside.
I am always the last parent to pick them up and my baby is always being given a cuddle. Can’t recommend it here enough.

Our daughter has been attending since she was 9 months old and has grown extremely fond of all the team at Mama Bear’s. She loves coming to nursery and has excelled massively since she started going full-time in January. My only downfall would be the state she is sent home in sometimes, dirty and wet clothes, and wet coats, her coat has recently been ruined by paint which has been used at the nursery, likewise for some of her shoes. I would have thought it would be washable paint being a nursery setting so maybe this could be an improvement you make to protect the clothes and shoes we pay a lot of money for. We also have the 30 hours funded but feel we still pay quite a lot for our childcare. Overall we are really happy with the nursery, but as of late feel a lack of care is being given with regard to children’s clothing and belongings.

Love this nursery and I love all the staff, both my children have gone through nursery years here. They always remember everyone here! I recommend anyone to bring their children to Midvale Road Mama Bear’s.
