Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Paignton - Long Road)

Our son started in the baby room at the age of 11 months on a 4-day basis. He settled very well from day one, and this was a huge relief being first-time parents. The team are incredible; they are very attentive and have established an outstanding rapport with my son. When my son arrives at childcare centre and we are welcomed by a member of the team, he would go with them without hesitation with a big smile on his face. On collection, he is consistently very cheerful and will take time to say bye to team that have taken such great care of him. We are also very pleased with the way the childcare centre communicates with us. We have daily updates on food, nappies and naps via their app and they will consistently call us to update us on anything else. Team will also let us know what our son has been up to when we collect him in the evening. Meals and menus are balanced and they consistently try and meet special dietary requirements. An outstanding childcare centre; we could not ask for more We are extremely pleased with Mama Bears day childcare centre.

He absolutely loves going and I sense completely relaxed when leaving him in their care (trust is a fantastic thing). This childcare centre is the best childcare centre I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot), they are exceptional with the kids and consistently have time for the adults too.
All the team are consistently welcoming and welcoming and consistently have a smile for you even after a tiring day which is lovely.
They are very patient and supportive of my little one and I couldn’t be cheerful with their service.

Mama Bears were by far the best we visited and we immediately felt it was the right place for our son.
They have been incredibly supportive of us and helped our kid settle in. Since he started attending he has developed his self‑assurance, skills and the team has made us sense that he’s a valued and well-cared-for kid.
He does a wide range of activities, they offer him a great and healthy range of meals and we get regular updates which offer us reassurance.
He enjoys his time there and that’s the best part for us. We were understandably nervous about finding the right childcare centre for our kid.

My eldest is consistently excited to spend a day at childcare centre full of games, songs and many different activities. He loves spending time out in the garden. While my youngest has a lot of 1 to 1 care with his key worker and enriched sensory playtime. Throughout the day I get constant updates on the app which gives me excellent piece of mind. Both of my kids are in excellent hands with the team at Mama Bear’s.

We tried to take her out after only a couple of weeks but they demanded four weeks’ notice. Mama Bear’s is a business first and a childcare centre second, profits are more important than the kids (and their team – we had covid related drama too). At the door, I heard numerous parents questioning injuries their kids had, and at almost every pick up my daughter had a dirty nappy. We pulled her out, irrespective of the lost money, and sent her to another Preschool where she was immediately cheerful and thriving. We have a younger kid and know that Mama Bears is the only place with immediate availability in the bay and whilst we need the childcare we wouldn’t even consider this place an option. Our daughter wailed every morning as we took her in, she had previously been at a different preschool (in a different area) that she loved and never had any issues with.

The team are exceptional and consistently willing to go above and beyond for me and my kid. My son gets very overwhelmed and they are consistently there to help keep him calm. I couldn’t suggest them enough. My son has been attending Mama Bears Long Road for nearly 2 years, and I cannot explain how much he has thrived since being there.

The team have been very informative and understanding and they listen to any concerns we have had from other professionals and consistently assistance my daughter’s needs. My daughter went from the baby room up to the bouncy room 6 months early but this has done wonders for her development and she has progressed so much.

My son is consistently eager to go to his key worker, but also equally comfortable with other workers who make him sense accepted. There is great updates from the team and their commitment to supporting the needs of my kid is excellent! Incredible team who truly care for my kid and encourage him to be the best he can be.

Right from the start when I went to look around to now the team have been very supportive, attentive and supportive. I cannot thank the team in the baby room enough for how hard they worked and the patience they showed in helping my little boy (and us!) to integrate into childcare centre life. My son absolutely loves childcare centre and it’s clear when he returns home how much he has enjoyed himself. He has come on leaps and bounds in his speech and his general overall development as a result of being at the childcare centre just 2 days per week because of the activities and stimulation and attention he gets when he is there. The team in the baby room consistently have a chat with my partner to tell him about my son’s day and how he has been. They are responsive and attentive to his needs and the requests I make. I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone. The team are top-class and a real asset to the childcare centre. Thanks all. My son started at Mama Bears Long Road in October 2022.

They are very welcoming and excellent with the kids. The service they provide is incredible! They have some lovely outdoor space and the rooms are very welcoming and interactive too. All 3 of my kids have attended Long Road childcare centre and I highly suggest it.
