Mama Bear's Day Nursery (Fishponds)

My 3 year old little one is enrolled at Mama Bear’s and has been there since 10 months old. She can be quite quiet and shy but every day runs up to childcare centre. Activities are fun, varied and engaging, no two days seem to be the same. We receive daily feedback and the manager is extremely responsive to requests, including flexibility on extra days if possible. She is fond of the crew and the other youngsters. On top of that, the location is exceptionally handy, the garden and building are spacious and well maintained and the car park makes pick up and drop off super easy. Plus the park next door is good for meeting other parents and kids from early‑years hub.

Thank you everyone at Mama Bear’s Fishponds. He has a great connection with team members and I get regular updates on his goings-on during his day. My eldest boy has come here since he was one and adores it here. Everytime we drop him off he runs in with a smile and when we pick him back up. His younger brother will shortly be joining him in the new year and I’m sure he will enjoy his time here just as much! Since joining his exploring and confidence has really soared.

He’s doing really well with his potty training thanks to the help of the team. He really enjoys nursery setting and he treasures the personnel. We enjoy all the pictures and videos of what he’s doing in school and it’s great to see him having a fun time. My boy does have a bit of a tantrum going into school on the odd occasion but the crew were incredible at directing his attention to something else and making him feel more comfortable. They are really accommodating and caring. Since my youngest has started Mama Bears Thicket Avenue he’s come on leaps and bounds. I would enthusiastically suggest to anyone thinking of sending their kid here. If I have any issues I know the team will be approachable and understanding. He thoroughly enjoys going and I can’t fault the personnel.

Two of my sons have went to this nursery setting, all of the ladies are really kind and lovely. I am truly grateful to the ladies here for their hard work throughout the year. My youngest had the most remarkable leavers presentation which made us both extremely pleased.

Mama Bear’s have been so accommodating to us in the prior five months. The nursery setting provides meals and regular updates via the Parents App, giving you everything from nappy updates to photos of their activities during the day. We couldn’t be happier with the nursery setting and feel it is one of the best decisions we have made. Our 1-year-old little one had to be put into kid attention at the prior minute as our previous carer fell ill right before my wife was to return to work. Obviously, we were extremely nervous, however, we were quickly put at ease. Our youngster has come on leaps and bounds, not only becoming more confident with other little ones and adults, but also with his motor skills and speech. The personnel have been nothing but lovely and are always available to talk about our child’s headway and progress.

If you are looking for a place for there kids. My kids feel at home and the personnel are truly cordial and kind. My little one adores Mama Bear’s Day Nursery. Even during Covid my little one still goes to early‑years hub as I knew they are doing there best to make it a protected place. My young lad was in this nursery setting before he started school, so I never hesitated to send my little one to the same early‑years hub as I knew the crew are exceptionally accommodating. I will suggest this early‑years hub to all others. They always keep me updated on how my young lady is been doing her assessments.

We are extremely delighted with the attention that our youngsters receive at Mama Bear. We also appreciate the efforts of the manager to keep things running smoothly and how understanding they are of our family circumstances. The team genuinely attention about them and their advancement, and we receive regular updates on their improvement and the fun activities they have been doing.

Our little one joined the childcare centre when he was one years old and now he is four. The space is nice and warm. He really likes the nursery setting and is exceptionally cordial with his carers. Looking back at these past three years, we definitely made the right choice by choosing this place for our boy. Our boy has grown into a young little man now from the baby and toddler he was when he joined. We like to see the daily update from the early‑years hub and are pleased to see him engaged in a variety of creative and fun activities. The personnel are professional, kind and above all caring. Not a single time during these three years have we had any complaints about the childcare centre. Even in this pandemic, the management are really committed to providing a protected, fun and loving environment and we are truly thankful to them. We wholeheartedly advocate this early‑years hub to other parents. Both me and my husband work full time and it gives us peace of mind to know that he is in secure hands each morning when we drop him off and know that he will be well taken support of.

I have also been really impressed by the way the nursery setting has coped with the Covid changes. I have been extremely pleased with the childcare centre since my youngster started at age 6 months as a bottle refusing breastfed baby. The baby room team went to enormous lengths to comfort her, for which I will be eternally grateful. They are obviously doing something extremely right as this is my first of ten years as a parent where all my little ones have not had the “cold brought home from early‑years hub”! The crew are always kind and welcoming. My only complaint is that it is such a wonderful nursery setting that there are never any extra days available! Overall, it is a exceptionally good early‑years hub. My kid has made a real bond with her keyworker and the low team turnover means that little ones are also able to get to know all the other personnel well. My kid looks forward to going to childcare centre and says she has lots of fun with her friends. The early‑years hub manager deals with any enquiries promptly.

He’s pleased, he’s discovering and he is being excellently cared for. Couldn’t suggest it enough! We couldn’t be happier with the support our boy receives at at Mama Bear’s Thicket Avenue. He constantly tells us how he treasures the personnel, his friends and Mama Bear herself (not so great when he kisses any Mama Bear’s sign he can reach, including on cars, when we’re out and about). He’s been attending for a year and we’ve seen him come on leaps and bounds in playtime, concentration and interest in adult-led activities. He’s a smart, ‘spirited’ boy and can be a pickle – always able to sniff out and cause mischief but this has always been handled with humour and addressed with him in the same way we would and they have nurtured the personality. I remember being truly nervous about starting him at early‑years hub, this being the first time he’d been outside of family support ever but I have zero reservation about sending our baby there when I go back to work.
