Mains House Nursery

The childcare centre is spotless and recently had work to update every room in the building. The space outside is small, however it is packed with activities for the kids to do, as well as an outside classroom. They have recently required an allotment, which the kids adore to go to help and learn about plants and vegetable growth as well as insects. The Team are incredible, they are very great with the kids, supporting their discovering and development but in a enjoyable way that the kids really engage with it.

My 3 year old is a summer born and spent the majority of his short years in lockdown and welcoming a younger sibling at just 19 months old. He was struggling with his self‑assurance, social anxiety and with his speech. With mummy’s hands tied up with the new baby, pandemic restrictions and daddy working away, we decided to enrol him in childcare centre where we used to live in Birmingham. After 8 months there wasn’t much improvement and we had decided to relocate to the lovely NE to be with daddy. Well, that meant a new childcare centre and this has got to be the best part of our move. He has been at Mains House Childcare centre for 9 months and he is a different kid. He is confident, sociable, and can talk for England. He has consistently been very clever but he struggled with the self‑assurance to show and articulate it. Now he shows off all his knowledge to everyone he meets. His shyness is disappearing but mostly he’s so cheerful at Mains House! This is a remarkable childcare centre that have brought my kids on with leaps and bounds.

The team are welcoming and welcoming, my daughter is so cheerful and enjoys all the variety of activities they do. She loves the allotment and trips to the library. My daughter has been coming to this childcare centre for over 7 months.

All team know and care about every single kid at the childcare centre. My daughter loves going to the childcare centre every day. Updates between the childcare centre and families is fantastic. There are daily diary updates, regular observations/golden moments on the app, parents’ evenings, and stay-and-playtime opportunities. As well as this, team give a recap of the day at the door when parents collect their kids. I sense confident that my daughter is getting the enrichment she needs and has enjoyable each and every single day. She has come on so much with her talking and her self‑assurance, especially in sensory activities. She loves the food and often eats more than one serving! We couldn’t be happier with Mains House and all of its remarkable team. Mains House is a remarkable childcare centre.

He is now leaving, ready to start school. From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank all the childcare centre team enough for everything they have done for him throughout his childcare centre years. Each and every member of team have played a part in his journey and I could not have wished for a better bunch! Mains House is like a home away from home for a kid. Their little personalities are well known by every single member of team which is a pleasure to see.
The childcare centre itself has a homely sense with endless activities and resources available. Each day is a new discovering opportunity, which is all recorded for parents via an app including photos of their day. Not to mention the rolling menu of food options which is remarkable.
I’ve not once felt worried about leaving my kid at childcare centre, I know he is so well cared for and has made some close little friends. He loves it there. Cannot suggest them enough, they go above and beyond! My kid has attended Mains House Childcare centre since he was 11 months old.

From attentive, compassionate team to the top class food, and not to mention the first class provision. My little one has been a member of this incredible family since 6 months old and I have seen her grow immensely within that time. Each day she is there she learns something new and exciting. They playtime outside, get to visit Story Shakers, have incredible visitors and even have their own allotment. This childcare centre is an all round winner for us. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after her and I know she wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Thank you for taking such excellent care of my little one and helping her to shine. Mains House Childcare centre is the best childcare centre there is.

My kid’s key worker informs me in detail about things I ask them and advises me on what will be done to help development my kid further. I have no concerns with my kid attending here. My kid has learned how to socialise with other people and has become more independent and confident.
