ParkingThere is a free public car park (Upton Court Car Park) next to the School and Nursery, which can be used by parents and visitors. To access the visitor pedestrian entrance, please exit the car park and turn left, walking down Upton Court Road. The entrance gate is further down on the left hand side.

VisitingLong Close Nursery is situated within the grounds of Long Close School in the Upton area of Slough. Visitors can access the School via a pedestrian gate entrance on Upton Court Road (please press the buzzer for entry).

DirectionsLong Close School is situated next to the picturesque Upton Court Park. Visitors can park in the large Upton Court Park car park, which is free of charge. Parents drop children to school using the secure main gate which can be located from the car park. Visitors can access the school via a pedestrian gate entrance on Upton Court Road.

October 29, 2024 at 12:51 pmThe crew are absolutely lovely, and ensure your child’s well being. I was exceptionally optimistic as she has never had the chance to explore or go to any groups as she’s only 2 and has spent most of her life in lockdown! My girl started nursery setting in September. Which shows me she’s thoroughly enjoying her time there. I treasure watching what gets uploaded on Tapestry to see what they get up to and it’s so lovely seeing how encouraging the team members are which has definitely helped with her growth in a matter of weeks and her speech. I would strongly advocate longclose early‑years hub as its important to have a solid foundation for a childs future. My little one is always excited to go to school the moment she wakes up! But I can say she has settled in extremely well.

I was truly concerned as she has not been to any other settings before Long Close Nursery but I am super glad to see how easily she has settled. I just can’t praise them enough. My girl is extremely delighted here especially the home corner. I would rate this energy-filled nursery setting a full A++. I am in treasure with the super energy of the team, they all are extremely useful and full of affection. Thanks.

December 8, 2024 at 7:36 amWe are given regular updates as to the activities that our young lad does, and we have seen his confidence and enthusiasm for discovering positively soar in a truly short space of time! We are exceptionally delighted with our decision in choosing Long Close and would wholeheartedly endorse this nursery setting to other parents. All our post lockdown anxiety about him restarting disappeared extremely quickly. The personnel are warm, welcoming and our little one adores going in – he even asks to go in on the weekend which is testament to the hard work the team have done to create a nurturing and loving space. Our little one started preschool at Long Close in September, after being home since March due to the Covid restrictions.

January 5, 2025 at 10:26 amSpeaking another foreign language at home, I have been thrilled to rapidly note how much English vocabulary my boy has picked up from nursery setting! The correspondence has been excellent: every day, I always look forward to reading detailed comments written by personnel in my son’s diary; At Parents’ evening, I was also delighted to hear about the host of fantastic activities and opportunities offered to little ones and the headway made by my little one, within just two months. The nursery setting was recommended by a friend who also has a kid attending the school. A personalised folder kept for each individual youngster (which includes various pictures, notes, comments, anecdotes) is just another exceptional example of how much the personnel knows about children’s likes, dislikes, interests and temperaments! It has only been a term and I have already been exceptionally impressed with the genuine dedication shown by such a fabulous early‑years hub team! Finally, I cannot thank the personnel enough for their wonderful help and ongoing encouragement, which is truly much needed at meal times, with my boy! I strongly endorse Long Close childcare centre. Just a brilliant place! Just incredible! My little one has joined Long Close childcare centre since September 2015 (full time).

February 24, 2025 at 8:08 amI strongly suggest the nursery setting and the follow on to the school at Long Close as we get the feeling that our kids are treated by the Headmaster and educators as if they were their own little ones! Again a decision well taken! I take the opportunity to thank each member of personnel for all their dedication and professionalism in taking support of our kids! It is a decision that as parents we are sure that it was a good one! It is a great early‑years hub and as a parent of 2 youngsters I strongly suggest it to other parents! My little one who is now going to start in year 2 started her academic life at long close childcare centre! Having had her attending this early‑years hub it only made sense having our young lad go there too. The ethos and family feel in the whole school is second to none and I have not seen this environment anywhere else! The classrooms are great fun to be in, the personnel are extremely competent and really kind and helpful of the youngsters!

March 23, 2025 at 11:13 pmIt is lovely to see the activities that they get up to on Tapestry, reassuring me that the time spent in the early‑years hub is valuable and well resourced. Their feedback as to how she is doing is well informed and gives me strategies to work on at home. Having already sent my eldest girl to Long Close Nursery in 2018, I happily sent my middle kid to start the childcare centre in September of this year. I cannot commend the personnel enthusiastically enough for the way they have created a warm, welcoming and thrilled setting for Early Years. Her social abilities as well as her academic skills are developing at a rapid rate and the way that the nursery setting has fostered her sense of independence and co-operation is just incredible. My young lady absolutely adores attending each and every day – she actually is so excited to go mainly because she has made wonderful relationships with the crew and the other little ones. Highly advocate Long Close Nursery and Pre-School! What an incredible, fun-filled, vibrant setting it is.
