Brilliant nursery. They listen to me and if I have concerns regarding my daughter they reassure me and don’t make me feel silly.
I find leaving my little girl there totally at ease.
One of the best decisions I made was choosing Hedgehog and it’s on my doorstep, even better.

We are very happy with the care and development our daughter receives at Hedgehogs. The staff are very professional and know our daughter well. It’s small enough to be personal but has the benefit of using the facilities of the school.
Lots of effort is made for extra activities, such as a Christmas production etc. I would highly recommend.

We are so happy with Hedgehogs. I visited a number of nurseries in the surrounding areas before seeing Hedgehogs and when I did I knew instantly it was the perfect environment for my toddler. It is spacious, has experienced carers, brilliant management vision, an amazing variety of activities and excellent food variations for all meals. We are always kept informed as parents and the use of Tapestry is great as we can see what our little one gets up to each day. He is always happy when we pick him up and it is clear that he has been well cared for by people with a genuine interest in the children’s development and well-being.

My boys joined the nursery when their current one shut due to Covid-19.
They have made me and my boys feel so welcomed under the current circumstances and really put my mind at ease. The boys are so happy in the nursery.
I am updated on a daily basis with pictures and videos which is lovely to see what they are getting up to.

My son has been in Hedgehogs for over two years now and although it hasn’t always been perfect I really feel it’s doing brilliantly at the moment. I’m very happy with the new(ish) manager and feel the nursery is a much happier and more nurturing place now. The facilities have always been brilliant because it shares the grounds with the school (so masses of outside space, sports hall and swimming for older children).
The way they have dealt with Covid has been particularly impressive. The emotional impact on children and their families has been properly considered and the staff have gone to incredible lengths to ensure children are as safe as they can be while still enjoying playing and learning with their buddies. Communication has been good too, no small feat considering the confusion with rules, etc.

Our son is now 20-months-old. He started at Hedgehogs when he was around 9-months-old. I can’t praise the nursery enough, particularly recently having managed the Coronovirus situation. Management has communicated fantastically and been very supportive of parents. During the period where children weren’t able to attend nursery, they kept in touch with us via the app to ensure we still had a connection to the nursery. Staff uploaded messages, videos and resources.
After three months off, I thought my son would find it difficult to return, but our experience was quite the opposite; he couldn’t wait to get back and now strolls in each morning he attends, very eager to see his friends and the staff. He is always happy, and we know he is so well looked after. I cannot praise the staff and set up enough.
The app is brilliant. I can see how my son is getting on through the day; how he has eaten and slept and the activities he’s been doing. It means I can work knowing he is happy.

Hedgehogs is such a wonderful nursery. My daughter is 20 months and has been attending since she was 13 months old. She absolutely loves her time at nursery and is so excited when I drop her off each morning. The staff are so friendly and caring, I know she is well taken care of. The parents’ app they use is brilliant for providing updates throughout the day and gives me peace of mind that everything is OK. The staff organise lots of varied and interesting activities for the children and they spend a lot of time outdoors, as the grounds are excellent. The management team are also brilliant and are very accommodating if I need to add extra days. The care provided at Hedgehogs really is fantastic and I can’t rate them highly enough.

My 20-month-old son is very happy at Hedgehogs – it is evident because he doesn’t even turn around to wave goodbye at drop-offs anymore. His face lights up, he grabs his bag and off he goes! This gives me confidence that the staff are looking after him well and keep him entertained.
I particularly love watching videos or seeing the pictures of what they get up to. It gives us parents reassurance that the nursery is committed to providing good care and a stimulating environment to my son. He comes home tired but always with new skills and when I unpack his bags, the muddy clothes indicate that he’s had lots of fun outside – we chose Hedgehogs because of the outside space which is plentiful.
Well done to all the girls working there and thank you for your commitment to providing a balanced educational and play opportunities to our children.

My son is so well cared for at Hedgehogs. He’s been at the nursery since he was one and I’m always left impressed by how warm the staff are and how above and beyond the girls go for the children. My son really struggled to settle after lockdown but the girls were so calm, patient and loving with him. He absolutely adores the staff who work in his room, they set up the most wonderful activities for the children which are always very engaging. It is clear by the videos they send that the staff are very thoughtful in their interactions with the children, I love the way they question the children to foster that curiosity in their play. Thanks for everything you do for the children.

All staff are incredibly caring and know the children in their care inside out. They will go above and beyond to make the children feel comfortable and to enable them to thrive in the stimulating environment they provide.
