Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school, Rose Hill (Oxford)

Fantastic nursery. Great staff who really care about the children. My daughter is at this nursery and I cannot recommended it enough. The food is excellent and I know my daughter has a great time at nursery. They have good activities for the children and really encourage them to grow in independence and confidence.

Every since my son started going to this nursery he started thriving and his cognitive development was massively improved eery since. Staff is very attentive caring and great at keeping is informed about our son’s progress.
Special mention goes to food served – it’s very varied and offers great options. Overall, extremely satisfied with this nursery.

Little Pioneers is such a lovely nursery, and we are so happy that our son is going there. The staff are so thoughtful and attentive, really focusing on the needs, development and well-being of each individual child. They do an impressive variety of activities, even with the littlest kids, and also provide really good, varied, nutritious food

Little pioneers has been really positive for our son, giving him lots of opportunities to learn, have fun and make friends. The staff are all really lovely and really encourage my son to do things he enjoys. They are very supportive.

It is a great nursery. Nice and helpful staff… My son really enjoys spending time there. He has been adjusting well. And the staff keep track and good care of his learning and development. They communicate well and everything is updated on Parent Zone app on time.

We are generally really pleased with Rose Hill Nursery – they have some excellent staff working very hard. When a crisis hits (like when that pipe burst in East Cowley and the nursery was without water) they rallied quickly and made sure the needs of the kids came first. There are some instances when crying children were left unattended for extended periods of time or where staff members have forgotten their names, etc. – all general tendencies I’ve observed in every large corporate-run nursery and daycare. But at the same time, what can I expect: they have a lot of kids, they do a lot of cool activities with them, and they always change nappies on time, get them to sleep and eat, etc. When I leave my kid here, I know she will be safe and have her physical needs met. My child’s key-person is excellent by the way (we got so lucky!) and is always there when a child is sad or needs something. That is not consistently true of all the staff, but a good 4 star seems deserved.

We absolutely love sending our son to Little Pioneers. The staff are absolutely amazing and the little ones are given the best start in life. There’s always a bit of fun to look forward such as a dress up day or a party. Our son always comes home with new skills and stories to share.

The team at Rose Hill are truly exceptional. Our daughter has really flourished over the past year, despite having been painfully shy when she first joined. The practitioners here are empathetic, patient and intuitive. They have been understaffed at times (as everyone is), however they have always supported and encouraged our daughter to the best of their abilities.

I was extremely anxious about my two-year-old starting nursery, but the experience couldn’t have gone much smoother. Every single member of the team has helped with the transition. I have complete trust in their ability to handle any situation. They knew when to call if it got too much for my son at the start and for me to come and get him as they didn’t want him to form a negative association.

Now nearly six weeks on he’s already shown much more confidence about being away from me and he always has a great day there. Particular thanks to his key worker who goes above and beyond to look after his needs!

I’m so happy with the care my child receives at the nursery. The team really take care to enrich her experience and bring a lot of experience to the role which puts me at ease as a parent. I’m just so glad we were able to get a place for her here!
