September 30, 2024 at 11:05 amI consistently receive feedback from the team on what he has been doing that day & there’s an online journal that is regularly updated with pictures; I can also add pictures which enables team to ask him what he’s been doing on his days off which I think is a exceptional idea. My son never complains about going & consistently comes out cheerful, telling me all about his day, which shows me that he is truly enjoying his time there. I have never been nervous about leaving him as I know he is being cared for well. When compared with parents who have kids at other nurseries in the area it is made clear that Little People do a lot more for their kids such as the range of seasonal activities they organise and all the opportunities to learn.
I would 100% suggest this childcare centre to anyone, the team are all lovely and expert and there is nothing bad to say about the childcare centre as a whole. My son started the childcare centre nearly a year ago & has come on massively with his discovering and social skills.

They have been exceptional and highly, highly supportive, not just with my kid, with me as well. If I’ve needed any advice for anything at all they have been there. Fantastic people and fantastic childcare centre truly proud to have been apart of it. Remarkable childcare centre, remarkable team truly supportive and excellent at there jobs.

December 12, 2024 at 10:55 amAll the team in the childcare centre and at head office are so nice and kid-welcoming. They put every kid first and have a bond with them all. They are flexible to your needs as a parent and I sense that if there is ever an issue in or outside of childcare centre, the team will consistently listen and take into account everything that has been said. I consistently suggest this childcare centre to friends and family and will be devasted when my daughter moves on to school. In Heckmondwike, my daughter has grown so much since she started over a year ago and there is not one minute I look back at the childcare centre I put her in with regret.

February 8, 2025 at 10:52 pmHe comes home and has used every change of clothes because he has done so many enjoyable things and got covered in all kinds of enjoyable, interactive things.
They playtime outside and do many different kinds of messy playtime, he draws and bakes and consistently has things to bring home.
The girls who look after him are excellent, they keep me informed on everything he does and act upon feedback we give them.
We adore the app they use to show his development and activities he’s been doing.
I would definitely suggest this childcare centre. My son has attended this childcare centre for 6 months since he was 9months old and he absolutely loves it.

He has grown in self‑assurance, and they encourage him to engage with other kids which he has done.
I also like the foundation website where we can see what he’s done and also that we can upload activities he has done at home. My son has truly come on whilst coming to Little People.

April 15, 2025 at 4:20 pmOur daughter is in the School Room and loves it. She consistently has stories to tell about what she has been doing. We are highly cheerful with her development and that is down to the outstanding team and excellent activities they provide. Our son goes to breakfast and afterschool club at the childcare centre which is fairly priced with excellent team. It has a calm social atmosphere perfect for unwinding after school. We would definitely suggest it to other parents in the area. Both of our kids attend Little People Heckmondwike.

May 18, 2025 at 11:26 amAll team here are so welcoming and consistently go above and beyond to help. My kids have settled in so quick and are so cheerful here. The class sizes are perfect and I know that when I drop my kids off on a morning they’re going to be well looked after. I can’t suggest them enough and can not imagine my kids going anywhere else. After searching lots of nurseries for my 2 kids we came across Little People.

My son loves coming to the childcare centre and seeing his friends. The team are cheerful, welcoming, expert and approachable.
The team consistently keep me up dated with how my son is developing with newsletters or with a parents evening and tapestry (which I like because I can add photos of the things we do together at home) My son has a strong relationship with all the team in the building. I can’t fault Little People Nurseries in Heckmondwike at all!
The most important thing is, that I know my kid is secure and taken care of. I wanted a childcare centre I could trust to look after my kid when I was at work and this childcare centre was the one!!

June 3, 2025 at 3:47 amLittle people have provided a fully transparent and inclusive setting and supporting my son through his dietary changes and menu development. Despite being unable to safely or comfortable access the same resources or foods as others, my son has experienced childcare in the exact same way as his sister. Little People have successfully incorporated his needs at all times and without questions. My son has both dietary requirements and sensory differentiation.

June 21, 2025 at 7:55 amI was worried that I would miss out on the opportunity to help guide him into certain developmental areas, however, the team at Little People have been exceptional in helping him get there.
Since he has started, he has started walking, eating exceptionally well (he was HIGHLY fussy before) and his updates skills have improved.
Whenever we have a developmental goal, we work together with the team members to try and achieve it.
He comes home and surprises us every day with new skills, the newest being animal noises!
I would suggest this childcare centre to anyone who is wanting a secure, trustworthy setting for their kid to grow and develop. My son has attended the childcare centre since April 2018 and we have been nothing but impressed by the service we have received.
When I first went back to work, my son was 10 months old and at a prime developmental age.
