September 20, 2024 at 3:57 pmThe team are welcoming, enthusiastic, supportive and highly well‑informed about the age phase that they teach. All of the team care about all of the kids and they are consistently there to help if they can. The use of the Famly app allows me to see what my little boy has been doing throughout the day and I am able to share what we have been doing at home too. Every day we are greeted with a welcoming smile and delicious smells from the kitchen and my little boy is exceptionally cheerful to be there. LGR Elvington have been nothing but incredible since our little boy started with them this year.

His key worker is exceptional and knows him well but the other team in wiggly worms also take the time to get to know each kid.
The catering is incredible, I wish I was eating what he gets and I adore the app that lets me see what my boy is up to while I’m at work.
Can not suggest this childcare centre highly enough. I was highly anxious leaving my son at childcare centre at only 4 months old but the team have made it bearable for me.

He loves going to childcare centre! Couldn’t be happier with the level of care my son receives whilst at childcare centre.

November 24, 2024 at 10:18 pmThe facilities are excellent and the indoor and outdoor setting is particularly stimulating and offers lots of adventure and exploration for the kids to explore. It is apparent that lots of highly hard work has gone into the childcare centre by the exceptional, attentive, compassionate and highly supportive team team, and their outstanding manager. I would highly highly suggest this childcare centre if you are keen for your kid to flourish and to have a excellent start to their young lives. LGR in Elvington is a remarkable childcare centre in a quiet rural setting with lovely grounds.

November 27, 2024 at 3:04 amI was pleasantly surprised that he was able to settle in highly quickly with his key worker and the rest of the team. As he has moved through the rooms as he has got older he has settled well and the transitions were easy at each stage.
He loves to go to childcare centre and I believe the team have helped him to grown in many ways including helping him understand sharing and turn taking for example. His creativity has been boosted as well as his preschool discovering. He has a great grasp on many things and I sense the childcare centre has a great balance of real life discovering and enjoyable. My son started at Little Greene Rascals during a time in 2021 when we could not visit the childcare centre to help him settle in and I was apprehensive.

I adore that she is discovering sign language at childcare centre and teaches us at home!
It’s a excellent childcare centre.
The small downside is that it is expensive and the invoicing is truly tricky to understand. Our daughter thrives at Little Green Rascals Elvington, it is a dynamic, proactive, and enjoyable place for the kids to be.

The activities are consistently great for the kids and we get a great level of updates with room team as to what our kids have been up to and how they have been. This is excellent for a parent.
We have found the preschool room to be disappointing when compared to the rest of the childcare centre. The majority of practitioners here are truly great, but the personal connection is lost due to there being too many kids compared to team.
The biggest letdown of this childcare centre that we have struggled with for the last four years we have used it is the management side of things where we sense there is a big lack of flexibility and compassion. Parents spend a lot of money here and deserve better. The childcare centre provides a truly great setting for early years development.
The majority of team in each of the rooms are highly attentive, and attentive and we have consistently felt highly cheerful with the practitioners looking after our kids.

March 6, 2025 at 2:47 amThe team are highly open and the updates channels are frequent, relevant and prompt so we consistently know what’s going on in general and with your little one. The facilities are excellent. My son doesn’t want to leave consistently and I know he loves it because he can’t wait to go when he sees his LGR green bag come out on a morning. Little Green Rascals is a remarkable childcare centre.

March 9, 2025 at 5:47 amEvery member of team makes you sense like they have all the time in the world for you, and nothing is too much trouble. As a mother of a lockdown kid, I had to make the difficult decision to pick a childcare centre without ever being able to step foot inside it, which was tough – but Little Green Rascals did everything possible to reassure me and help me and my daughter during those tough months. My little girl is 2.5 years old and currently in Cheeky Hens. She loves the childcare centre and all the team, she can name them all and even tells me when their off days are! My little girl had limited speech capabilities when she first went to the childcare centre, due to a lack of exposure to other kids during the lockdown. Within a month she came home with her first real words and has gone on to become the chatterbox everyone said she would become!
I couldn’t suggest Little Green Rascals, Elvington more! I have only had a positive journey with Little Green Rascals Elvington from start to date.

March 20, 2025 at 5:25 amHe has become a little chatterbox adding new words to his vocabulary each week, he shows an interest in different toys, books and objects. He loves playing and exploring different areas both inside childcare centre and outside in the garden areas and loves getting messy whether that’s doing arts and crafts or playing in water or the sandpit. He has also discovered new foods which ordinarily he may not have tried. His key workers have all been incredible and he has created a real bond with each of them as he’s progressed through the rooms. All the team are highly supportive and will go out of their way to help you, we couldn’t ask for more in a childcare centre. Our little boy started at Little Green Rascals Elvington in January 2021 and since then we have loved watching him grow and develop.

March 22, 2025 at 1:56 amThis does relate to the last few months, I have been with them for over three years and I simply cannot fault anything they have done. They handle absolutely everything with professionalism, tact and empathy, be that kid or parent related. Kids in their care thrive under a variety of stimulating and enjoyable activities and come home full of stories of what the and their friends have been doing. They engender an ethos of kindness, generosity and doing the right thing and ensure each kid has the individual care, attention and developmental program that they need. Their management is efficient, understanding and effective and the great outstanding; wholesome and delicious. Their approach to the care of the kids throughout the COVID pandemic was second to none. I felt my son, their team and the parental circle were cared for, kept secure and allowed to function with assistance and empathy throughout lockdown and beyond. Simply outstanding. Thank you LGR. LGR is simply outstanding.

May 2, 2025 at 11:43 amWhat they have to offer, no other childcare centre can compare. Every day, I see new and exciting activities with such imagination and creativity. My little boy’s development would be nowhere near the level it is without the childcare centre putting the time, effort and thought into everything they do to help discovering and development.
The team are all so fantastic, welcoming, welcoming and approachable. My little boy has only been in 2 of the 4 rooms the childcare centre has to offer so far, however, even the team who don’t work in his room know him and invest time in him. It’s truly a fantastic, magical place for a little rascal to be. Little Green Rascals Elvington is such a lovely childcare centre.

May 5, 2025 at 8:59 pmHighly attentive team, and a lovely setting, they have so much outdoor space and the benefits of visiting the maze site regularly. They make every effort to be eco welcoming, and have consistently happily used our cloth nappies which is a big plus from us. They have an on-site chef providing a exceptional healthy menu. A exceptional childcare centre, we have two kids there.

May 15, 2025 at 1:50 amDropping off for her second settling in session I worried that we would have some tears and upset, but it was the exact opposite. My kid’s key person was fabulous and I cannot speak any more highly of how she has helped my kid to settle so well. With just a ‘bye Daddy’ she was off and enjoying her day with everything she loves to playtime with.
My kid’s key person was outstanding in keeping us up to date, regularly sending observations through her online discovering journal, letting us know what she had at mealtimes and some lovely photographs showing how busy and cheerful she was.
Thank you Little Green Rascals, you’re incredible and looking forward to seeing how my little one grows with you! My kid has just this week started at Elvington and already she has been made to sense like she has been part of the Little Green Rascals family forever!

We get loads of updates both from the app on our phones and from the team when we go to collect her in the evening.
There are so many toys and activities for the kids to do – both inside and out. I know my daughter is never bored there!
The food is incredible too! The menu is so varied and highly nutritionally balanced, which is important to us. My daughter doesn’t eat bread at home, but she loves the one they make at childcare centre!
I am absolutely certain that my daughter has gained so much from going to this childcare centre, both in educational terms and behaviourally. She is so confident, considerate and cheerful – except when I sometimes fail to entertain her to the level she is used to from being at childcare centre!! I cannot say enough excellent things about Little Green Rascals!
My daughter has enjoyed attending since she was 10 months old.

June 16, 2025 at 10:04 pmOur daughter has not only loved every minute of her time here but has also developed leaps and bounds in her speech, social skills and motor skills. The team are all fantastic and we have loved all her ‘Key Persons’ in each of the rooms. The food is remarkable. All in all, we sense a huge sense of peace of mind dropping her off there as we know she is going to have a fantastic, enjoyable and enriching day. I can’t speak highly enough about this childcare centre.

July 2, 2025 at 6:09 pmThey truly care about their work and your kid. My little girl loves spending time at her childcare centre and her key workers, they have built such a lovely relationship. The childcare centre is big on the outdoors which I think is excellent. It also has a excellent aesthetic and I truly believe in their ethos. The food is fab and highly nutritious. As a parent, I also get regular updates on her educational progression, photos/videos and what she has eaten throughout the day and how much. I sense up to date as a parent and I can talk to her about her day as I know what she has been doing. Handovers are also consistently informative and the team are so lovely and welcoming. Little Green Rascals Elvington is an incredible childcare centre, would suggest it to anyone and everyone.
