Little Elms Daycare Nursery Beckenham (Queen's Road)

This (and safety) are the most important things to me and Little Elms excels (especially in the Baby rooms – which is so important to parents thinking through where to start their little ones). The outdoor space is limited compared to some other local nurseries at this site, it is the biggest drawback I think – but the classes share it well and the team are creative in using the space. There have been a few blips in management updates as there is moderate turnover but they are extremely responsive to issues and I’ve always felt heard. The best part about the nursery are the nurturing team who are always nurturing, supportive and interested in the little ones. I have had 2 kids attend Little Elms, my son from 11 months to his centre start at 4.5 and my daughter from 11 months to today (nearly 2). I would (and have) highly recommend this nursery to prospective parents. The food provision is varied and nutritious, my little ones have no food sensitivities so I can’t speak to that.

Both my kids have gone here since they were 7 months old! The menu is varied and my little ones eat everything and they provide x 2 snacks and 3 meals per day. They provide weekly photos of what they are going, which always brightens your day! They have fantastic opening times, excellent room leader and the little ones are secure and content.

Our little boy joined only a month ago, always was extremely shy and nervous around strangers but now has totally come out his shell, loves all the creative playtime and speech has truly improved. Also eating way more variety than the chicken nugget diet he insists I feed him!! All the careers have been so gentle with his nervous energy and update me on everything they know I worry about.

Our son couldn’t be happier and the team are so delightful with him. A few team changes since he’s been there and a few periods of unsettledness but current management is outstanding! He settled in truly quickly and I’m sure this was because of how nurturing everyone was when he first joined. Garden is probably my least favourite part of the nursery but at least there is some outdoor space and it has lots of enjoyable toys for the little ones to playtime with. We truly can’t fault the nursery at all! All the team are warm‑hearted and approachable and keep in regular touch about our son with updates throughout the day on the app or direct messages if they need to – fab place for our baby to be! Fantastic menu choice every day and lots of enjoyable activities.

Our daughter started a few months ago and I cannot highly recommend Little Elms Daycare enough! I was quite anxious and emotional about leaving her, but the educators in her room are just remarkable, so kind and thoughtful they made it a truly supportive experience. They proactively updated me during her first few days to say she was doing well, and are brilliant at updating the app so we can see what she’s been up to. She truly loves it there and we enjoy going to pick her up and chatting with the educators, a delightful place to be!

Our daughter has been at the nursery for two months and she has settled in well. It was a huge transition for her going into nursery practically full-time. The team couldn’t do enough to make sure she was settled and importantly, keeping us fully up to date with her progress. She now goes into nursery always smiling and we as parents genuinely believe the team are invested in her growth.

We are truly content to have our daughter at Little Elms. The nursery is also open (outside bank holidays) throughout the Christmas period, which is a massive bonus! She has now moved to the second baby room and is extremely confident to be left in the morning. Our daughter is extremely content there and we feel affection and trust for the team, peace of mind is priceless. She loves to see the tortoises and is always doing a fantastic range of activities. She took a while to settle but the team have always been delightful and patient with her. We get excellent updates on the app and from team when we pick her up in the evenings.

They’ve shown nothing but professionalism and they are also interacting a lot more with the parents, for my part. My little girl went from being upset every morning to being the happiest she has ever been so there’s been a massive positive change and now I can’t highly recommend them enough!! After a few bumps and misunderstandings, I have been extremely content with the service provided since the new management team came into place.
