Little Cherubs Nursery & Preschool - Shortlands

I would completely recommend Little Cherubs (Shortlands). It is such a friendly, happy nursery/preschool which my son was so sad to leave to go to primary school this year. All the staff are great and go above and beyond to make the children feel safe and happy whilst also providing excellent learning activities. I was always kept well informed of my son’s development and progress as well as daily updates via the nursery’s app.
Thanks to Little Cherubs, my son was very well prepared during the transition period from nursery to school and has started his new primary school this week with confidence and ready for the next step in his learning journey.

We have been sending our son to this nursery for the last 4 years since he was nine months old. We have so many lovely memories of the place. The staff, management, carers and cooks are all friendly, helpful, caring and kind. Communication is always clear and updated. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend this nursery!

My son has attended Little Cherubs since the beginning of 2021 and is very happy there. He started in the baby room and transitioned well to the toddler room. This was all thanks to the staff. They helped with settling him in both rooms and his key workers were so supportive. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The daily log app is a great way to see a record of how the day has gone – what food they’ve had, what activities they’ve done and provides an easy and quick way for me to communicate with the team about anything. In addition, the nursery also put on webinars which are a helpful learning tool for me as a parent i.e first aid session and mindfulness yoga. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Little Cherubs is a wonderful nursery, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! My son attended Little Cherubs full-time for 4 years, from 10 months old in the Baby Room all the way to the Preschool. I always felt the children were lovingly cared for, and the staff took time to know every child individually. I loved seeing my son building a special bond with the staff, and it always gave me full confidence leaving my son at Little Cherubs. Needless to say, he absolutely loved going there every day, and it was so sad when he left to go to Primary school this summer!

Little Cherubs is a perfect home away from home for babies and toddlers, and a great learning and care centre for preschoolers. I have had the privilege of sending my daughter to the setting since she was a year old. The premises are spotless and immaculate, with staff taking the utmost care to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. The baby room is intimate with a small group of babies getting close attention and care from a loving staff. All needs are met and the staff go above and beyond in nurturing key skills. The toddler room provides room for the children to grow and explore, with the perfect balance of independence and care. And preschool prepares them well for the next step of joining the mainstream schooling system. My daughter was well equipped and ready for “big school” as Little Cherubs prepared her well in terms of school readiness, confidence and even key academic skills (numbers and reading).

My son joined Little Cherubs in the baby room a little over 3 years ago and has just left pre-school this month, ready to start school. He has loved his time at Little Cherubs. The staff have been fantastic and provided excellent care. They make so much effort with the activities they put on for the children; they have so much fun! I’ve also been really impressed with how well they have prepared my son for school so that he feels ready and confident with the next phase. I have a younger daughter who also attends Little Cherubs, and she is so happy there too.

Fantastic experience using Little Cherubs. My daughter absolutely loved her time there and had a great relationship with her carers. Everything was well organised and we were always kept in the loop of the goings on through the parents’ app. The food was nice too, they provide 4 meals a day and you can even see the daily menu and how much your child ate. Hours are 8am – 6pm. They even had a graduation ceremony when my child left for big school with gowns and everything. Will definitely enrol my son when he’s a bit older.

I have found this to be the most wonderful setting for both of my children, who have been with Little Cherubs for over two years. They have flourished whilst learning a whole host of new things daily and are always engaged in the most creative play activities. The care and consideration from every key worker have meant that my children have developed great relationships and feel safe and happy. There is a great balance between learning and play, and the key pillars in reading and writing are definitely established. School readiness activities for my older child were a big factor in his easy transition to big school. The daily log recording meals eaten and videos/photos are wonderful in keeping parents close to their children and aware of everything they are doing. I would highly recommend.

My daughter went to Little Cherubs from eight months until she started school. Choosing who to leave your precious child with is such a difficult decision but I was reassured as soon as I visited the nursery. It’s warm, friendly and has a family feel to it. All the staff from the baby room to preschool helped to nurture and care for my daughter who has grown into a confident, chatty, happy four-year-old enjoying school. My son also goes to the nursery and wouldn’t have him go anywhere else. I feel very lucky to have found them.

Very happy and caring environment for children to grow. Carefully and thoughtfully managed, and just the right number of children.
The Baby room is quite small, but ideal for snuggly environment. The facilities generally are extremely clean, bright, nicely decorated with happy pictures of the children and team, and well organised.
The care team go above and beyond with activities for the children, parties, farm trips, plays, and art shows. Children encouraged to exercise, learn languages, be creative, and practice their hygiene skills. Fantastic place, very sad to be moving on!
