Our son attended Ladybird Nursery from the age of two until the start of school. Before choosing a nursery, we scoped out several and found Ladybird the best by far. We immediately warmed to both the staff and the setting, and our son settled in easily. Throughout our son’s time there, we have found everyone to be open and approachable. We’ve received regular, helpful reports on our son’s progress. The management are easy to deal with – everything is very well run. The food is great – freshly prepared on site. (I think the kids eat better than I do! There are lots of activities for the kids and opportunities for parents to get involved. The staff provide a kind, friendly, caring environment and our son has blossomed into a confident, articulate little boy more than ready for school. We’ve all made lots of friends there and will be sad to leave. We highly recommend the nursery, and the Christmas play – Yep, it’s a cracker!!!

We looked at several nurseries when looking for childcare for our daughter. We chose Anerley Ladybird because during the tour the staff seemed to genuinely care for the kids and the facilities were good (big rooms, separate changing areas in the baby rooms, reasonably big outdoor space, etc). Our daughter attended Anerley Ladybird from 9 months old until she started school and we were always happy with our choice. Our impressions during the tour had been right, the staff really did care and our daughter was clearly very happy at nursery.

We loved this nursery from the moment we looked at it.
The children were so obviously happy and well looked after, it was a complete no-brainer when it came to choosing it for our son. He was just one when he joined and settled in extremely quickly. We had daily updates on how he was getting on and felt comfortable chatting to his key worker about anything that cropped up.
It’s clear that the staff really care about the children and take the time to get to know them. The children take part in a wide range of activities and the food is varied and nicely balanced, which is no mean feat when it comes to feeding kids! Over the 3 years my son’s been there, he’s flourished. He’s happy, confident, articulate and has made a lovely group of friends. We’ll be really sorry to say goodbye at the end of the month.

Our little boy was one when he started at Ladybird Nursery – he’s leaving in a few weeks to start school. The time he’s spent here has been wonderful, both for him and for us. The staff are friendly and great with the children, whether that’s playing with them, encouraging learning or managing behaviour (which can be tricky in a class largely full of boys!). All the parents we’ve met have been as happy as we are and, most importantly, the children are happy.

There’s a real sense that each child is taken on their own merits and encouraged to grow, which is all you can ask for at this stage. It’ll be emotional watching our son leave on his final day, but also wonderful knowing he’s been given a great start by a brilliant nursery.

Our little boy has been going to Ladybird Nursery – Anerley for the past couple of years since he was one. We considered other options – nanny, childminder, and nursery, we’re so pleased we chose Ladybird Nursery. Our little boy loves his time there, it’s such a caring setting in a family owned nursery – which has really supported our son’s development. We are sad to leave as we’re moving up north. We would (and already have) recommended the nursery to others.

I have had two boys going to this nursery for up to seven years and would recommend it without a doubt to anyone. Both my boys had a wonderful time going to this nursery and were well-prepared for school.

Fantastic! Friendly, caring staff who work incredibly hard to provide first-rate childcare. Children are happy, healthy and learn fast. Our daughter is always excited to go and sad to leave. Highly recommended.

Our daughter has been really happy and settled at Ladybird Nursery – Anerley for the past two years. Her teachers have been kind and caring and she has grown in confidence and ability in their care. She will miss them and so will we!

For me, the most important thing in a nursery is that my children are happy and they have both been very happy at Ladybird Nursery – Anerley. I honestly can’t remember a single day where they have come home saying they have had a bad day. I have always felt secure that they are very well looked after, the majority of my interactions with the staff have been very good, with the kids always being sad when having to leave their class teacher and move to the next one. The nursery is a good size, not too big and opportunities for the older children interacting with the younger ones, I feel helps development. The manager is great and exudes energy and ideas which filter through the whole nursery.

We have been very happy with our daughter’s experience at the nursery. She has enjoyed her time here and always talks enthusiastically about her teachers and peers. When she has needed any special care or attention, especially when settling in at morning times, the teachers have been helpful and made us reassured she could settle.

We are very happy with the nursery because our child enjoys going there. Staff are very nice and we feel our baby is well cared for. Food is good but there is no opportunity to bring food from home. Facilities have been recently upgraded. Management listen to your concerns and are proactive.

My daughter loved going to Ladybird Nursery. The staff took such good care of her. She developed incredibly after starting nursery, her language is clear and at 18 months she is saying over 50 words. The menu is well balanced and she also now eats a wider range of food thanks to what she was introduced to at nursery. We are very sad she has to leave (leaving London). The management is excellent, very well organised and communicative. I felt like my daughter was in exceptional hands.

We were very sad to leave this nursery. The boys have loved every minute, they have been treated with kindness and they have developed so well because of that. Their manners are above what we have taught them at home. Management has communicated really well during the pandemic. We will all really miss coming here.

Our son attended Ladybird Nursery – Anerley for over two and a half years from a little before his first birthday, until we moved away from the area when he was three and a half. In every class and every step of his development, we were delighted with the level of care and attention he received. The very loving staff were always offering a fun and stimulating range of activities for the children and he was extremely fond of all the teachers he had. When the pandemic hit and despite sometimes uncertain government guidance for primary care settings, Ladybird Nursery – Anerley were brilliant. Communication was clear and honest as ever, they organised Zoom meetings to keep the children in touch during the initial lockdown, introduced sensible and clearly defined Covid-19 counter-measures to get the nursery soon running again and then consistently keep it open thereafter. We’re very grateful to all the wonderful staff at Ladybird Nursery – Anerley. Thank you so much!

My son has been at the nursery since he was 1 year old and could not be happier. Lots of messy play and group activities, which he loves. He has also learnt many new habits and skills from attending here, which has resulted in him being incredibly sociable and good at playing with others. His communication has flourished while being there also. I can’t thank you enough for creating a safe and fun space for my son to attend.

My two sons have attended Ladybird Anerley (1st from age 12 months to 4.5 years and 2nd from 8 months to 23 months). We are only leaving the nursery as we are moving out of London, and are very sad to be saying goodbye to Ladybird. Both my sons have always been happy and thrived there. There is a lovely warm vibe and all the staff are so kind and friendly. Each room has its main carers so they really get to know your child well but it also feels like all the staff know all the children so any staff room changes are not a problem.

They have a good system of updating you on your child’s day (via an app) and are also always happy to answer questions over the phone etc.

With my oldest now just starting school I can attribute a lot of his readiness for school to the preschool class at Ladybird – while starting to teach the basics of phonics etc they also gently give your child more independence so it’s not a big shock when they move on to school.

Our son has been at Ladybird Nursery – Anerley since he was 12 months. The staff have been amazing throughout, the thought and attention to detail make his day varied and interesting with age-appropriate learning. The food is fantastic with little repetition and the encouragement to eat new things is regular. As he has progressed through the classes, his confidence and abilities have grown considerably.
The staff have always been attentive, with knowledgeable advice and always enthusiastic to greet the children at the door.
It is a great space with fantastic facilities inside and out, which are well-maintained and safe.

My child has attended Ladybird since he was a year old and has always been very happy in all of the rooms he’s gone through.
He absolutely loves all of his teachers, and we feel that the teachers genuinely care and love all of the kids.
We will really miss everyone at Ladybird now that our son is going to school.
I couldn’t recommend this nursery more.
    Thank you, Ladybird!
