October 1, 2020 at 12:00 amFrom the moment I walked in to look around Kingsclere I knew it was the right place for my son to attend. It has a lovely ethos and all the staff spend a lot of time getting to know the children and making sure they have all the support and care they need. They care for them as if they were their own. Thank you.

November 24, 2020 at 12:00 amWell I looked at 3 nurseries and as every mother knows it is so important to choose the right one; after spending a year with your new bubba the thought of leaving them with complete strangers and returning to work fills you with dread! I love the fact that Kingsclere Day Nursery is such a small nursery, it feels as though it is its own family (with lots of children). I think the ratio of children to keyworker is important so they can have the interaction they need. I have always felt very welcome by staff members at Kingsclere and should I have any worries, I am more than comfortable in speaking with the managers with no hesitations. Any concerns I may have are nipped in the bud early which is comforting to know.
The parent portal is fantastic so I can see what he has been up to for the day. My son speaks volumes for Kingsclere, as on his days away he asks to go, which makes me happy knowing that I chose the right one for him. Thank you to all the Staff, especially during these tough times

November 24, 2020 at 12:00 amI am a first-time mummy who sent her boy to nursery just after the first lockdown in June. It was a difficult time for induction but the team have been excellent. Within a couple of weeks, he had settled down and built relationships. I get updates every day on his eating, learning and sleeping. It gives you great peace of mind and I love being updated during the day. It makes me smile. The updates are very personal and not just a generic message. I have found all their communications really personal and individual. He has really developed since going to nursery and I can see a big difference in him. I am very happy with the nursery! I would definitely recommend it.

November 25, 2020 at 12:00 amMy daughter is 2.5 and been attending Kingsclere since she was 1. We viewed 3 nurseries and chose Kingsclere as I loved the setting; I liked that it was small and not overcrowded and the fact that during the viewing any potential question I had was already answered in the thorough show around. Also, all staff were so welcoming and friendly saying hello to us both. Something that I didn’t notice elsewhere.
My daughter enjoys herself so much at nursery. She runs in with excitement which is so encouraging. She waves at it when we drive past, she talks about the children and her key worker. We’re really happy with her development and will continue to keep her there until she’s ready for school. Thank you.

My son started when he was just 2 years old and I’ve watched him develop and grow into the perfect little 4 year old he is today. That’s the biggest thanks to the ladies in this nursery for sure. Would 100% recommend!

November 25, 2020 at 12:00 amOur daughter has settled so well into Kinsgsclere despite her starting in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Her key worker and all the staff in the nest have made her transition to nursery 5 days a week so smooth and we’re so grateful for this. We love looking at the daily updates and pictures on ParentZone and the fun activities she gets up to on themed days and the children get outside every day for fresh air to play on the decking. The setting is small, homely and really clean with a home from home feeling. We feel she’s really being cared for at Kingsclere and always comes home with a big smile on her face. The manager is really well organised and was great at answering all our questions and she really knows the detail about every child. We would definitely recommend Kingsclere to anyone.

November 30, 2020 at 12:00 amOur son joined the nursery when he turned one. He loves the nursery staff and runs in each morning to see them. There’s a fantastic outdoor space for them to play in and he is outside every day which I like. His language and numerical skills have come on so quickly and this is down to the one on one care and attention he receives and the focus they put on learning. We couldn’t be happier with the nursery, nursery manager and staff.

Having spent lockdown with only immediate family for the first 10 months of his life, I was worried we would have trouble settling him in. The girls were all fabulous, flexible, and as accommodating as the current restrictions allowed. You put our minds at rest and our little boy loves spending his time with you all! Thank you so much.

November 30, 2020 at 12:00 amMy daughter started going to Kingsclere in September 2020 (age 3). I am glad we chose Kingsclere as everyone is friendly and professional and my daughter enjoys going there to spend time with both her new friends and the teachers. The transition from home setting to 3 full days was a lot to take in at first, but thanks to the friendly environment and all the activities kids do, it didn’t take long for my little one to settle in and soon started looking forward to spending the time with her friends while mummy is at work. I like the daily updates on ParentZone and see what she was up to, what meals she had etc. I honestly couldn’t be happier with Kingsclere and would definitely recommend to all.

December 4, 2020 at 12:00 amOur first daughter left Kingsclere to start school 3 years ago and we have just returned again with our next daughter as we loved it so much and I’m so pleased that we have! Our daughter has settled in amazingly and every day is so exciting and happy to go to nursery. The small numbers of the setting was perfect for us and makes it feel more personal and like a family; not just another child amongst many already there! I feel positive that she is getting the best care and attention and this is backed up by how happy she is. We are always met personally with a smiling happy face by staff which helps with the transition a great deal. I can’t recommend Kingsclere highly enough, especially if you are looking for a smaller, calmer and personal setting for your child.

Highly recommend based on our experience and feel very confident that this is an excellent learning environment with a lovely friendly atmosphere.

May 4, 2021 at 12:00 amI couldn’t be happier with Kingsclere Day Nursery. My son absolutely loves his time there and will be sad to leave for big school in September. I can’t fault the preschool in terms of care and the way they teach the children and always ensure they have new and exciting activities to do each day! I’ve already put my younger sons name down for next year in the hope he’s lucky enough to get a place and have the same amazing experience as his brother. Thank you to all the amazing staff there.

August 10, 2022 at 12:00 amMy son has been at Kingsclere Day Nursery for 4 months now and I’ve been really pleased with the level of care he’s receiving. The app is fantastic for updating us on what he’s been up to with pictures, as well as details of what he’s eaten, nappy changes and naps but even with all that information we still get a really personal and detailed handover at the end of the day by whoever brings him out. In addition, no matter what member of staff takes him in the morning, he gets greeted with a huge smile, how are you, asking him about whatever little trinket he’s decided to bring in for that day. To me this really personal, warm and consistent level of interaction is what makes this nursery stand out above others. The manager is also involved in drops offs and pick ups and is really friendly and approachable. My son is also baking most weeks and has come on leaps and bounds with speech, and understanding numbers and shapes. In summary, we’re having a great experience with Kingsclere Day Nursery.

The activities in pre-school always seem to be fun and varied and my son loves his nursery days.

July 28, 2023 at 12:00 amSince my son started at the nursery in September 2022 we have seen him grow in confidence and he is learning so much! This learning is tracked and shared with us as parents through photos and from his focus weeks and report. We get daily photos about what he has been doing at nursery.
We feel informed about his progress and that he is getting lots of opportunities to make progress on his targets. There is a range of activities provided (French, literacy and problem solving) and updates are given each week.
Activities are tailored with an awareness of how to get the best out of my son and meet his needs (as he is naturally shy). His key person has developed a wonderful bond with him and we will be sad to see him move up to the next group in lots of ways!
The new manager is excellent and committed to helping the nursery with its mission to continue to improve its practice.

July 28, 2023 at 12:00 amMy son has been at Kingsclere Day Nursery for a year now and I am incredibly grateful that my son attends nursery here. The staff are wonderful and my son has created close bonds with all of the staff, especially his keyworker, whom he adores. His development since being at Kingsclere has been amazing to see and I absolutely love noticing the things that I know he has learnt at nursery specifically. Kingsclere have been so helpful with supporting us as a family working through conflict resolution techniques to help develop my son’s language around emotions. He feels things very deeply and this has been hugely helpful in understanding my son’s needs better. We feel so grateful that his keyworker and the staff at Kingsclere have supported us with this as not only has it brought on my son’s speech more generally, he is very empathetic to other children now he understands his own emotions – something that is so beautiful to see.
