Kids 1st Rake Lane

The childcare centre team was so patient and attentive when he first started and they understood it will take a while for him to get accustomed to being away from home. They listened to my worries and concerns and I was reassured that he is getting the best care. His key worker was remarkable, in fact, all the team that help to look after him are fantastic. And as a result, my son loves going to childcare centre. It’s become his home away from home. That’s how I would describe this childcare centre “it’s a home away from home”. I absolutely adore this childcare centre and my son loves it.

Can’t fault the care provided. Great variety of food and activities. The parent app is also highly supportive.
The only downside is that you have to pay for childcare centre days if they happen to fall on a bank holiday, despite the fact that the childcare centre is closed. This amounts to over £400 per year in our case! Paying for absent days caused by sickness and holidays is however understandable. Highly welcoming team.

The professionalism and updates they have shown over the last 12 months has been incredible!
I was worried about my son returning last year, however, the measures they put in place, the attention to details and adapting to this strange situation put my mind at ease straight away.
They are so committed to ensuring every kid is secure, cheerful and is developing! They are consistently there with a smile and I sense so comforted that my son gets to go here each week knowing they are doing everything they can to make his day exceptional.

I couldn’t fault Kids 1st even through the past year (with covid) I have had not one concern as I have consistently known and had no doubt in my mind that my kid is well looked after and secure.
I couldn’t thank the team enough over the past couple years for all the care, adore, assistance and guidance they have give to my little boy and me. They have helped raise one incredible cheerful little boy. My little boy has attended Kids 1st Rake Lane since he was 9 months old.

During the covid 19 pandemic Kids First have been exceptionally, they have gone above and beyond to keep everyone secure.
It truly is a lovely childcare centre and I go to work knowing my little girl is cheerful, you can’t ask for much more. My daughter has been attending Kids 1st Rake Lane for 6 months, in this time she has developed significantly and I know a lot of this is due to nurturing from the team at kids first.

The team are consistently so welcoming, cordial and expert and the childcare centre is brilliantly run under the leadership of the manager. Our girls have had a range of different developmental experiences there due to the wide-ranging selection of activities organised for the kids. Our girls highly much delight in their time at Kids 1st Rake Lane and it has played a critical role in their development. The childcare centre itself is also highly spotless, bright, colourful and well laid out. The external playtime area is perfect. Their management of the childcare centre due to the pandemic has been outstanding and we’ve constantly felt highly assured that our kids are in secure hands. All in all, this is a superbly run childcare centre with team who could not do any more for our kids than they already do. My wife and I are grateful to everyone at Kids 1st Rake Lane. Speaking of behalf of my wife and I, I am cheerful to express that we couldn’t be more cheerful with the care our kids who are twins, receive at Kids 1st Rake Lane.

Moved from other Kids 1st childcare centre due to house move and pleased we stayed with Kids 1st

They clearly put the kids’s interests and needs first, and have been highly responsive to parent suggestions on how to improve processes. Would certainly suggest the childcare centre to anyone. The childcare centre team have been absolutely remarkable throughout the pandemic.

However, I need not have worried as the team went above and beyond to look after him and he settled in truly quickly. Throughout the pandemic the team have shone, consistently greeting the kids and parents with a smile (behind a mask) despite the ever changing regulations. My son is loving and thriving at childcare centre and this has allowed him to develop into an energetic toddler who loves exploring.
Also the team and management have been remarkable with dealing with Covid symptoms and updating everyone when a positive case has been found.
Overall this childcare centre has exceeded my expectations and taken everything in their stride with Covid. Thank you for providing a lovely setting for my son. My son started childcare centre during the first lockdown and I was highly anxious as he didn’t have the usual settling in days.

My daughter had mentioned being hit by another kid. Kids 1st moved her bubble and she hasn’t mentioned it since. I was listened to and my worries acted upon immediately.
My daughter was reacting unhappily to being wiped at nappy time at home. The same day I was given a report on how she was at childcare centre and I now don’t worry.
She is cheerful there, comes home spotless which isn’t terribly important but if you’ve got to bath them straight away it’s hard work.
I like the online report and my emails get answered straight away. The manager clearly leads by an outstanding example.
I haven’t seen inside her playroom, or the food or witnessed the team at work so have rated great. But I know she is cheerful and well cared for.
