Warm and friendly atmosphere, time is taken to get to know children and their families, so it is very much a home from home atmosphere. Complete peace of mind that care needs are not only met but exceeded and I am confident that my child benefits greatly from the holistic care, learning and activities provided.

August 1, 2019 at 12:00 amI couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! This is by far the best decision we have made placing our little boy into Kids 1st Hexham.
He was a very clingy 16-month boy and I worried how he would be for a full day without me. As soon as I looked around and met the lovely girls who look after, play, teach and care for him I stopped worrying. He has settled so well and that is down to those lovely girls who are extremely professional and I couldn’t fault the care they give my son which shows as he now does not cry when I leave him! This only lasted a few weeks. He has the best busy day there and his development has leapt forward.
It’s super clean, spacious and has a fantastic garden to explore and play in.
I love picking him up and reading his diary to find out what adventures he has been up too and what delicious food/snacks he has eaten throughout the day. Every fine detail has been recorded down.
I’m so happy we made this big decision and so pleased we chose Kids 1st.

December 24, 2019 at 12:00 amMy son started nursery at three-months-old, as I had to return to work. He was the youngest and didn’t have little ones at home to interact with.
The staff were and still are good at ensuring he’s cuddled and has lots of adult time, as well as interacting with the other under 1’s. He has developed a wonderful rapport with staff members and developed both physically and emotionally in all areas. He is now five-months, crawling, eating meals and sitting-up supported. I believe he has copied the other children and is thriving.

Our daughter asks every day if she can go to the nursery and always comes home smiling, telling us of the fun things she has been up to during the day.
We, especially, love the time the children get in the garden.

October 15, 2020 at 12:00 amWe are extremely happy with Kids 1st Hexham. Our daughter loves attending. The standards are extremely high. The facilities are excellent, and the children spend a great deal of time outside in the fresh air. Our daughter is learning a lot and the resources are excellent. We feel it is a very safe environment, the staff are attentive, genuine and caring. The management lead by example and are a asset to the company. The facilities are clean and the food provided is well cooked, healthy and nutritious developing positive choices for future life. The chef is well known to the children and is a positive factor in encouraging our daughter to try new dishes. Thanks to the whole team for such a positive experience.

January 28, 2021 at 12:00 amThis is a fantastic nursery. My daughter has been attending since she was 8 months old and her speech and confidence has grown. She has made a lot of friends and has a good relationship with the staff. They learn something new every day and I love that they play outside in the fresh air every day which I think is extremely important. Staff are approachable and treat children as individuals. I feel lucky to have the wonderful staff looking after and helping raise my daughter. Standards of the nursery are high and the facilities are great.

January 29, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has attended since 11 months old and is now 4. I am happy with all stages of his development at the nursery. Staff are knowledgeable and form great bonds with the children. The nursery opening times are perfect for me as a working mum and I don’t have to find childcare during school holidays.
My son enjoys the food and garden the most.

January 29, 2021 at 12:00 amAfter lockdown our little boy was shy and suffered terrible separation anxiety. It took 6 weeks of him going twice a week, and he suddenly went from clinging to me for dear life, to “bye bye Mummy” and marching off on his own. I put this down to the wonderful staff who clearly made him feel loved and safe whilst with them. I can’t recommend the place enough, they did wonders with our eldest too, who left for school in the September intake.

January 29, 2021 at 12:00 amOver the past 11 years, I have used Kids 1st in Hexham because of the professional and individualised approach the staff have. My youngest son has been at Hexham nursery for the past 2 years and is really happy. Staff are always really welcoming, they have cared for my son as I would at home, things such as toilet training, being kind, playing outside, eating freshly made healthy food, teaching boundaries have all been fully supported by staff. I would always recommend this nursery.

February 2, 2021 at 12:00 amA lovely nursery setting! Our daughter has been very happy and settled in the nursery and loves going! They have an extensive outdoor area and are always doing different activities each day. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
The new app that the nursery has enables us to see what our child has been doing each day, including photos and assessments. The assessments are accurate and give next steps for our child’s development.
There is always a variety of food offered.
I would recommend this nursery to all families in the Hexham area.

My daughter has been here since 2017, till present, and has always enjoyed her time there. Absolutely fantastic nursery from the manager to all the staff.

Can’t thank them enough for making me feel so settled at work after having my first little one! Daily updates on how they are doing at nursery is a great thing, makes you feel so much more relaxed knowing they are having fun in safe hands!

The nursery has a beautiful garden. When kids want to go they can go and play. Each member is so helpful. A lot of confidence in my daughter. She learns to speak in English. She has made many friends. This nursery is very neat and clean. Good parking area. I am very happy to send my daughter to this nursery.

My eldest talks fondly about all the staff and my youngest flaps her hands excitedly when we say she is going to nursery. They do a lovely range of activities for both of them and the staff are always very positive and welcoming.
