Kids 1st Darlington

They have taken exceptional care of both of my daughters. Even during this uncertain time, they have made sure my youngest daughter has settled into the setting wonderfully. Even at one years old she accesses a range of messy, creative and imaginative playtime while continuing to help develop all her essential skills. Both of my girls have consistently looked forward to their days at Ferndene Childcare centre. I would suggest this setting! Ferndene Childcare centre is a really welcoming and attentive childcare centre.

However, the team were welcoming and I was confident that my daughter would be looked after. She is now two years old and loves going to her class, the team are consistently welcoming and enthusiastic and are aware of her individual needs. The classroom is consistently spotless and she loves taking part in the daily activities. Exceptional childcare centre! My daughter has been attending Kids 1st since she was ten months old, she was my first kid so was very nervous putting her in childcare centre.

Our three boys have all been at Ferndene Childcare centre from early years to preschool and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey. The team are welcoming, attentive and really take an interest in the development and interests of the kids. There is a excellent outdoor space with a variety of playtime equipment and a garden area. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The kids spend a great amount of time outside each day and are really well cared for. We would suggest this childcare centre to our friends and to anyone looking for a secure, reliable childcare centre to care for their kids. This is a remarkable childcare centre.

Every member of team there, from the Manager, to the kitchen team and cleaners, are so lovely and they all clearly care for the kids.
There is nothing more nerve-wracking than the prospect of leaving your kid with a stranger. For that reason, we looked at a lot of different options for our then 6-month-old. As soon as we met the manager we knew our daughter would be in secure hands and the bonds our daughter has made with team during her childcare centre journey are incredibly special to see.
The food the kids eat is delicious (you get to try it at parents evenings) and my little girl loves the outdoor playtime areas, which they’re regularly allowed to use.
Another observation is that the team seem to all have been there for a long time, which my mum, a former childcare centre nurse herself says, is a sign of a great childcare centre.
Then there’s the outstanding Ofsted inspection report which speaks for itself! Kids 1st is a fabulous childcare centre.

In fact, I went there as a kid twenty fiver years ago and it’s the same incredible journey I had. The manager has been there since I was a kid and is consistently on hand to help. All of the team are fantastic and really go the extra mile to build relationships with the kids. My daughter is really well bonded with the team and I know she’s in very secure hands. The kids spend lots of time outside which they adore and have varied day to day activities. I’ve never once worried about my daughter at childcare centre, it’s a home from home and we sense part of the Ferndene Childcare centre family. I would suggest Ferndene Childcare centre to anyone and a friend has recently joined on my recommendation. I couldn’t speak anymore highly of the team, facilities and care received and I look forward to a couple more years of cheerful memories with Ferndene Childcare centre. My daughter has been attending Ferndene Childcare centre since she was eight months old, she’s now two and a half.

The activities were engaging and the adults were at the kids’s level. The team seem compassionate and supportive. We get a sheet which tells us about activities for that week and how they link to the discovering objectives so we can continue them at home and talk to our little boy about them. The outdoor space is pleasant and used as part of the curriculum. The menu seems varied. The opening times fit in around our work. There is a one way system in place, parents wear masks and kids have a temperature check upon arrival. We picked this childcare centre as on our initial visit, the kids were in small groups doing adult led activities.

From day one with both my boys, I had no reservations about leaving them. The team are all lovely and I was made to sense like they really cared for my kids on a personal level. I highly suggest Kids 1st Darlington. An incredible childcare centre.

Since she has started, the team have been incredible and my daughter has a fab time. I sense totally confident and cheerful leaving my daughter at the childcare centre. Having viewed many nurseries, Kids 1st was the one where I truly felt comfortable/cheerful to leave my daughter.

All the team are consistently polite, welcoming and approachable. Both of my kids (more the oldest) is consistently talking about something new they’ve done and learned. Outstanding childcare centre, recently enrolled my daughter here.

They really get to know the kids in their care, their quirks, what they like and what they need help with. They take each kid on a journey through their development ensuring interaction and engagement every day. The management are stellar and really endear each member of team to be the best they can be and deliver the best care that they can. Kids 1st Darlington is just an incredible childcare centre.

My little one loves coming in. I sense I trust the team implicitly with my little one. My older son comes here so I had no worries sending my youngest son. I wouldn’t send him anywhere else!!

A**** childcare centre by far. Incredible team, outstanding food, remarkable management.

They follow his childcare centre down to every last detail and nothing is too much to ask. The girls that have cared for my son have been nothing short of outstanding.
He consistently comes home with a big smile on his face and you can tell he’s had lots of enjoyable. We consistently receive regular feedback on how well he is doing which is consistently reassuring.
I would highly suggest Kids 1st to anyone and everyone, it’s a exceptional childcare centre and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Kids 1st have been remarkable with my son.

They have worked tirelessly, not only this month but throughout the pandemic, to ensure my son isn’t fazed by new routines or systems in place. Every morning we are welcomed cheerfully and have the opportunity to handover information. Every evening we are greeted by someone from my son’s class who is able to tell us about his day. We have really enjoyed the chance to find out more information via the parent app, which has helped us sense more involved in our son’s day.
We have one hundred percent trust in the work the team at Kids 1st Darlington are doing to keep our son secure and can’t thank them enough. What a remarkable team!
