Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Ower

My son has been going to Ower Nursery since April and he has grown so much In that time. I love the garden and the fact he can go out whenever he wants as he loves being outside and I like seeing what he gets up to on the parent’s app. His key worker is friendly and gives a good overview of what he has done that day.

My little girl goes to Ower and we have signed up her sister to start soon too! We have loved watching our daughter grow up with the help of all the staff at Ower and we love the family feel. Her key person always puts on regular updates through the parent’s app and we love looking at this together at the weekend. She tells me about her best friends and what she likes to play with! Couldn’t have chosen a better nursery for my girls.

All staff are enthusiastic about providing quality childcare and as a teacher, I can appreciate the effort that goes into planning engaging activities. Every day the children receive well balanced nutritional food that is cooked on site and the management is welcoming and organised.

Every single one of the staff at Ower were welcoming, personable and friendly from the moment my tour began. I love how homely the nursery feels and I am made to feel like my son is not just a number in a room which was so important to me. I can always reach them whether it’s for admin queries or the staff themselves. Sending my firstborn son to a nursery was scary, but the staff and my son’s keyworker have made this process so easy and comfortable, thank you all.

My son really enjoys coming here, all the staff are lovely and always let us know what he has been up to during the day. The outside space is fab and I really like that they spend lots of time outside when they can.

A lovely, friendly, caring nursery with excellent staff. Always such a warm welcome for our children each morning and they are always happy at the end of the day. Hugely comforting to know they’re being so well looked after. Thank you Kiddi Caru Ower!

Excellent nursery, it has been great throughout the last 7 years, so sorry to leave but both my little ones are now at school and growing up too fast. They provided a great start and good foundations for social skills and early development. I would highly recommend Kiddi Caru Ower to all. Will be missed.

Such a shame so many brilliant staff members have left this setting recently, got a few really strong staff members left ‘holding it together’ but Kiddi Caru need to look much closer into their nursery settings and why staff are leaving and why parents have concerns about care. We went through similar with another setting, upon transfer to Ower in 2021 things were brilliant (the manager was always on top of the smallest things) but things have since gone downhill with changes to staff and involvement from managers higher up.
The number of agency staff in rooms recently outweighs the number of usual staff members unfortunately, this seems to be affecting what learning is able to take place and makes me question the level of care too. Lack of IT equipment for staff to use with children, which is very disappointing in this modern age where technology has proven very engaging for children and to support communication with parents.

My daughter loves the staff and I’ve made a few friends as well in them, always have time for a chat and they are very friendly. However recently there have been many staff shortages and lots of staff are leaving. This means agency staff are used and the same bond is not there for my child. Many of the senior staff, having been with the team for a number of years, have recently left, including the in-house chef, which is a particular shame, as she was always on hand to discuss food issues. I feel the issues are probably caused from higher up and unfortunately, they are losing good staff. Parents/carers want consistency in who looks after their child and perhaps the team is undervalued. I should think that management’s priority needs to be the happiness of the staff and the rest will fall into place. Unfortunately, if agency staff are being used more and more, not only will you lose valued members of the team, but also children, as they will seek alternative arrangements.

The staff are so friendly and I know my son is well looked after. I like that each day he seems to learn something new and they encourage him which is lovely to see him grow. It’s nice that they do days out and it’s good for him to explore and be with other children.
