Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Ower

The girls are really welcoming and give a great handover about the day. We have had our parent calls this week and was excellent to hear how the childcare centre supports the kids to reach their next steps. The food sounds better than I eat myself and the whole atmosphere of the childcare centre is positive, welcoming and I am really cheerful with the care. I am a parent for a little boy in the over twos room.

We went through similar with another setting, upon transfer to Ower in 2021 things were exceptional (the manager was consistently on top of the smallest things) but things have since gone downhill with changes to team and involvement from managers higher up.
The number of agency team in rooms recently outweighs the number of usual team members unfortunately, this seems to be affecting what discovering is able to take place and makes me question the level of care too. Lack of IT equipment for team to use with kids, which is very disappointing in this modern age where technology has proven very engaging for kids and to assistance updates with parents. Such a shame so many exceptional team members have left this setting recently, got a few really strong team members left ‘holding it together’ but Kiddi Caru need to look much closer into their childcare centre settings and why team are leaving and why parents have concerns about care.

I adore how homely the childcare centre feels and I am made to sense like my son is not just a number in a room which was so important to me. I can consistently reach them whether it’s for admin queries or the team themselves. Sending my firstborn son to a childcare centre was scary, but the team and my son’s keyworker have made this process so easy and comfortable, thank you all. Every single one of the team at Ower were welcoming, personable and welcoming from the moment my tour began.

During Covid, they did an exceptional job of providing the best service and continue to do so. My daughter loves going here and flourishes. Nothing is ever too much to ask and the team consistently make you sense welcome and at ease. The team have been nothing short of incredible.

I adore the garden and the fact he can go out whenever he wants as he loves being outside and I like seeing what he gets up to on the parent’s app. His key worker is welcoming and gives a great overview of what he has done that day. My son has been going to Ower Childcare centre since April and he has grown so much In that time.

Right from the tour to starting I have been really impressed with how we have all been supported.
The facilities are really homely. I am so pleased with the whole team at the childcare centre who helped settle our kid into the childcare centre.

The team are remarkable – it is lovely to see their smiling faces in the morning and at pick up. They are consistently willing to go the extra mile and are very tuned in to the kids’s individual needs, as well as supporting them in social interactions with others. We are so thrilled with the choice of childcare centre for our son, having recently moved here.

I like that each day he seems to learn something new and they encourage him which is lovely to see him grow. It’s nice that they do days out and it’s great for him to explore and be with other kids. The team are so welcoming and I know my son is well looked after.

The ladies in the baby room are excellent.

My little girl is very well looked after and she loves going to playtime and learn.

She likes playing with their toys and has a excellent relationship with the ladies there who care for her very nicely.

There are never any team, resulting in agency most of the time. At times there has been only one member of permanent team, which affects the care the kids are getting, but also has resulted in some of the permanent team to sadly become rather disengaged and miserable, which shows. Barely any handover, apart from ‘they’ve been fine today’. App updates are non-existent. Emails being sent a lot stating they cannot cater for all kids due to team numbers or they need to move to the sister childcare centre. When I turn up at 5.20pm everything is packed up. Not great enough when people are paying until 6pm. I’ve now had to remove my kids from Ower as a permanent member of team accused a male agency team member of kicking my son. This is the agency team that are apparently thoroughly ‘vetted’. Sadly this is no longer a nice place to send your kids, nor is it secure in my opinion due to the lack of permanent team. Avoid. Kiddi Caru Ower has gone extremely downhill.
