Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool Hengrove

My kid treasures attending this early‑years hub and runs off happily each time she goes. Sometimes I receive lots of updates then it seems nothing apart from lunch for a week or two. The team are welcoming and welcoming and always on hand to answer any questions. I’ve only given four stars as the app seems exceptionally hit-and-miss. Would cherish to see more pictures and videos of the time my little one is there.

She always leaves early‑years hub delighted and confident and I am thrilled and self‑assured knowing she gets the best support. It has been brought to my attention that the childcare centre has been taking youngsters on day trips recently. My child’s keyworker who we got on really well with left the setting and it wasn’t until someone else was brought in to replace her that we were told that she had actually left and this was nearly 2 months after. But the general running of the nursery setting isn’t great. The parent zone app is exceptionally rarely fully completed on a daily basis and when it is completed it is not all correct. The attention that my little one receives from the girls in the school is brilliant and I cannot fault them for how they look after her daily. Despite my kid attending the setting since November 2019, she has never been taken out on a trip. We only found out through social media that this was the case. It’s truly frustrating that the early‑years hub cannot put together trips that accommodate every kid that is enrolled at.

They enjoy going to early‑years hub and talk about the crew and little ones at home. They often playtime ‘nursery’ at home so it’s safe to say they absolutely treasure it. Our youngsters have been going to this nursery setting for 2 and a half years and have recently increased their hours. Recently on pick-up, they have been asking why I’ve been picking them up so quickly as they have been having fun. The crew at the nursery setting are lovely everyone is so cordial and always willing to help with anything needed.

He always leaves with a smile on his face and tells me all of the activities he’s done during the day, whether this be painting pictures, playing outside or going on a bear hunt. Thank you to everyone at Mama Bears for making my young lad and myself feel so comfortable, we don’t know what we’d do without you. The team there have been so fantastic in his growth. He was born during the covid pandemic and has had a hard time mixing with other youngsters or leaving me. The team have always put my mind at ease by keeping me up to date via updates on the app or calling to reassure me when he hasn’t been so thrilled going in in the morning. I couldn’t work without having the appropriate support from such a good early‑years hub and they really don’t get enough credit for what they do. My 2-year-old young lad joins nursery setting at Mama Bears Wells Road.

I’m really glad I chose this Mama Bear’s for her to go to. She treasures going and all of the girls there are doing an remarkable job! Even with the hardest times of the pandemic, and being a keyworker myself, the girls have always been so accommodating, caring and professional. My young lady has only been there a few months but the growth of her talking and social competences have been fantastic!

Both of my kids have joined Mama Bears from 9-months-old, and both have thrived. I like that I am kept updated about what he has eaten via the app, and also receive frequent updates about activities my little one has taken part in. My little one always comes out thrilled and smiling, and personnel really work hard to make sure that he, and all the little ones, are delighted and settled. He can playtime games/do artwork, which he is interested in, and learns through activities at the same time. My boy is now four and due to start school in September, and I feel that this childcare centre has given him a really good grounding so that he is prepared and ready to start.

I know the nursery setting have had issues with staffing and they have done a great job recently of covering so that the two rooms can remain open. They have recently started going back on trips out and about and looking forward to more of those. The manager is fab and knows all of the youngsters really well. The team are absolutely lovely and really care about the kids. I have 2 little ones at the childcare centre and they are truly pleased there! The garden overlooks a busy road which is a shame but obviously not a fault of the early‑years hub!

Thank you for all you do. My little one has thrived since being there and she adores all the team like they are her friends. My young lady has been at Mama Bear’s for a year and a half and I cannot fault the support and help they have shown her and myself. She always leaves early‑years hub delighted and assured and I am delighted and self‑assured knowing she gets the best care.

I am grateful to all the Wells Road Hengrove crew for doing their best to look after my youngster during this difficult time as I had to work as an NHS personnel. My baby girl always looked forward to going to nursery setting, or should I say, she’s always looking forward to going in and enjoys all the personnel company. I would like to say a big thank you to you all, you’re doing a great job

I have not given 5, however, as the senior management is truly questionable. My kid has a great time. I have no concerns over the safety and welfare of my kid. When senior management has been on site, they are rude to parents. Policies are introduced to protect the bottom line and not the welfare of little ones. The policies are not available for parents unless you know to ask for each individual policy. The personnel are kind and activities seem engaging.
