Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool Downend (Downend Road)

My son loves going to Mama Bear’s Nursery (Downend). He likes all the staff there (as do we) and especially likes the food, which from a parents point of view is always very healthy and he often has extra. They go out into the garden at every opportunity and it’s great to see them playing in the garden when I pick him up. They do really fun activities and he often comes home very mucky, which is great as it shows he is getting really involved and is allowed to explore and play without staff worrying about him making a mess. The staff are all very friendly and genuinely care about all the children they look after.

My baby girl has attended Mama Bear’s Downend since she was 10 months old, and she is thriving. She has never cried at dropoff, and is bursting with new words every day and generally seems very happy.
The staff are lovely and I feel my child is very safe in their hands.

My daughter has been at Mama Bear’s for almost a year now and I have absolutely zero complaints. The staff are friendly and humble and the activities for the children are always well thought out and age-dependant (from the educational aspect). As vegans, my daughter has been very adequately catered for. So a big thumbs up from me there. My daughter is always so excited to tell me what she’s been doing every single day; thanks so much to Mama Bears (Downend Road)

Nursery was superb. Staff were amazing. Everything was recorded from sleeping to nappy change to what my children had eaten. They had a routine which both my children adapted to which they still use at home. My son wasn’t all that keen on messy play to begin with but by the time he left to attend big school, he loved messy play and also began to try different texture of foods. Thank you Downend Road.

This team at Mama Bears are amongst the friendliest bunch of people I’ve ever come across. They always have been, but it just keeps on getting better! My children are relaxed, happy and always eager to attend. Sometimes they don’t actually want to leave! The manager and the team are doing a fantastic job, I’m always kept up to date and informed on all aspects of their nursery life, no matter how big or small. They are welcoming, accommodating and accepting-but most importantly I trust them with my children’s lives. I always get tearful when my children have to progress from this nursery, they thrive here! And in the most challenging of times (certainly in my life), I have found the nursery staff to go above and beyond normal expectations. This is standard for them! Thank you for all that you do, even more so in these uncertain times, you have never wavered and never fail to provide an exceptional level of care for my children. Thank you!

My daughter loves the nursery and always has a great day. She’s learnt a lot since being there and education seems to be done in a really fun way. My only issue has been the completion of the dinners and lunches. It would be really useful if the amount eaten was documented accurately. I’ve had times where I’ve been told at the door that she’s not really eaten, but the parent app stated she has eaten all her meal.
Overall, really happy and love the fact all the staff seemed to get to know her really quickly.

I have been taking my daughter to Mama Bear’s Day Nursery in Downend for more than two years now, and I have to say that we are extremely happy with the service provided by the nursery. My daughter started attending it when she was only nine months old, and from day one, she has loved it. The staff are professional and incredibly friendly, and they have always made us feel welcome. My daughter has learned so much during her time at Mama Bear’s Day Nursery, and she has developed her skills and abilities in so many ways. The facilities at the nursery are excellent, with plenty of opportunities for children to learn and play in a safe and stimulating environment. The nursery is always tidy, and the staff are very attentive to the needs of the children.

An excellent nursery that provides wonderful care and excellent learning opportunities. Great communication between professionals and parents both in person and on the app. Lots of lovely updates on the app daily and they are very good with updating on incidents and management of them.

I’ve had a very positive experience with Mama Bear’s. The staff are great, friendly and very attentive to my son. He loves going to nursery and always has a great day. The meals are nutritious and varied, as well the play and activities are varied.

The staff at Mama Bears are amazing and go above and beyond to accommodate everyone. They build excellent relationships with the children in their care, as well as adapt their approach with the needs of each child. I would highly recommend this nursery.
