Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool Downend (Downend Road)

The team are excellent, welcoming and highly attentive to my son. He loves going to childcare centre and consistently has a excellent day. The meals are nutritious and varied, as well the playtime and activities are varied. I’ve had a highly positive journey with Mama Bear’s.

He likes all the team there (as do we) and especially likes the food, which from a parents point of view is consistently highly healthy and he often has extra. They go out into the garden at every opportunity and it’s excellent to see them playing in the garden when I pick him up. They do truly enjoyable activities and he often comes home highly mucky, which is excellent as it shows he is getting truly involved and is allowed to explore and playtime without team worrying about him making a mess. The team are all highly welcoming and genuinely care about all the kids they look after. My son loves going to Mama Bear’s Childcare centre (Downend).

He took to one team member more than the others and they made sure that it was consistently her who looked after him until he was ready to accept other team. He is now at the point where he is interacting with other kids and joining in with circle time etc, so his progression has been remarkable thanks to highly careful prompting by the team so he hasn’t felt pressured. Highly cheerful with everything and will be sending my little girl in January. My son started childcare centre during the pandemic when it was not possible for me to go to the settling in sessions with him, and it was a challenge at first but the team handled it truly well.

Team were incredible. Everything was recorded from sleeping to nappy change to what my kids had eaten. They had a routine which both my kids adapted to which they still use at home. My son wasn’t all that keen on messy playtime to begin with but by the time he left to attend big school, he loved messy playtime and also began to try different texture of foods. Thank you Downend Road. Childcare centre was stellar.

They consistently have information about the day when I collect my kids. I truly trust that they are giving the best care, with lots of updates posted on the parent app each day. Team have particularly been excellent at keeping me updated and my kids truly cheerful. The whole team at Downend Road have all been so great at settling my daughter into childcare centre, and just consistently so supportive.

The childcare centre is a vibrant and cheerful place. The team care well for the kids and do such a large range of activities with them. Both of my boys have been cheerful and learnt lots from this setting. The team communicate well and any emails are responded to quickly. For me, the biggest selling point of this childcare centre is the incredible outside space that they have and that it is utilised by the kids every day come rain or shine. My second son is in the pre school room of Mama Bear’s Downend Road and he loves it.

We are cheerful with the childcare centre too – the team are all highly welcoming and have a great relationship with the kids.
The menus are great and the app truly helps to understand what your kid has been doing through the day. My daughter loves Mama Bears.

My daughter has struggled to part herself from me to attend the childcare centre, but the educators have made the transition a lot easier for me. When I ask my daughter who her friends are at school she tells me their names (they are all educators!) she loves them all! Thanks to all the educators at the Downend Mama Bears. The educators at this childcare centre/preschool are incredible.

They consistently have been, but it just keeps on getting better! My kids are relaxed, cheerful and consistently eager to attend. Sometimes they don’t actually want to leave! The manager and the team are doing a remarkable job, I’m consistently kept up to date and informed on all aspects of their childcare centre life, no matter how big or small. They are welcoming, accommodating and accepting-but most importantly I trust them with my kids’s lives. I consistently get tearful when my kids have to development from this childcare centre, they thrive here! And in the most challenging of times (certainly in my life), I have found the childcare centre team to go above and beyond normal expectations. This is standard for them! Thank you for all that you do, even more so in these uncertain times, you have never wavered and never fail to provide an exceptional level of care for my kids. Thank you! This team at Mama Bears are amongst the friendliest bunch of people I’ve ever come across.

She is a late talker, and all of the team have been incredible with her, and are working specifically on her speech with her. She’s settled in highly quickly, considering she’s exceptionally clingy with me, but now she’s excited to go in the morning, cheerful for me to leave, and truly enjoys herself.
The app is absolutely excellent too, with the regular updates and pictures of what she has been up to, and milestone progression grading, I cannot suggest the childcare centre enough, the team are incredible. My daughter has been going to the childcare centre for the last several months and we have noticed a massive change in her progression, words and playtime already.
