Kaleidoscope Day Nursery (Gildersome)

Plenty of enjoyable activities to do and lots of yummy food to eat. The food has consistently been a highlight for him!
All the team are welcoming and it’s nice to see that workers in other rooms interact and know the other kids’s names who are not typically in their room. Only negative is team do tend to move rooms or leave but I think it’s the same in any childcare centre. Sometimes it feels as though your kid just gets used to a key worker and then they leave or move rooms. Luckily all the other team do make up for this as like I say all team know all the kids.
We adore that they join in with charity days allowing the kids to dress up etc. We also adore that they let kids take a lead with their own interests. E.g a adore of dinosaurs so they create a whole section on dinosaurs. Overall a fantastic childcare centre with polite, welcoming and welcoming team, food is incredible and I consistently sense my son is secure and cheerful whilst being there. A fantastic childcare centre which my little boy loves attending.

The minute we drop him off he runs to playtime with his friends.
The activities the team provide are varied, interactive, inspirational and educational. I adore to review his development and photos on the app as it gives me things to continue at home with him and to talk about.
His verbal and social skills have developed so quickly during his time at Kaleidoscope. I cannot rate this childcare centre high enough it is 5 star and more! Finding the perfect childcare fit is a daunting business, but luckily we found Kaleidoscope in Gildersome and it could not be better!
Our son has been attending childcare centre since Nov 18’ and he absolutely loves it!

He loves attending childcare centre each week and has quickly settled there with the help of the terrific team. Every time he comes home he talks about the different activities he has done with his friends. They also playtime outside and learn about different things at least twice per day. The food is varied and my son eats well there. The childcare centre was recommended by friends and in turn, I would suggest it to anyone. I will have no hesitation in sending my younger son there as well when the time comes. My son joined red room in January 2019 and whilst he only attends for 1 full day each week, his behaviour has already improved and his speech is now impressive.

The girls are truly great at keeping me and his dad up to date, sharing what he’s been up to on the parent app which is excellent to see. My son can be a handful (typical boisterous boy) and the girls are so great with him and do a fab job! Would suggest Kaleidoscope Gildersome to everyone. My son has been going to Kaleidoscope in Gildersome for 9 months and he loves it, the girls spend so much time with the kids and my son has come on leaps and bounds, he’s consistently so excited to go which makes it much easier leaving him all day whilst I go to work.

Everyone is consistently welcoming and lovely and knows each kid there which can be a truly nice way to start and finish a working day.
The app used is easily accessible on a mobile and is a excellent way to keep up to date with daily activities and the developmental side too – a sneak peek into what our baby gets up to!! There are also regular dress up and charity events to assistance and raise money which is a excellent addition to the highest level of care offered at Kaleidoscope.
Our baby is now a toddler and still loves childcare centre and his friends there, he has developed so much over the months and team are exceptional with any special requests, I’m so glad we picked Kaleidoscope (Gildersome)! My son started childcare centre at 10 and a half months old and loved attending straight away, this made it so much easier to leave him there and go back to work knowing he was cared for and looked after to the same standard as what we would give at home.

We are so cheerful with Kaleidoscope.

My daughter has settled in brilliantly, which was a concern when moving her. She has made some lovely new friends. The key workers are excellent and informative on what she has done during the day. All the team know each individual kid truly well.
The app is excellent as it is updated every day with what my kid has done and shows where she is in her development. Her speech has also come on quite well as this was behind for her age.
They have plenty of different activities to do during the day and the outside space is truly great too. It’s sometimes hard to get her to leave at the end of the day!
My daughter being in the oldest room has also had the chance to go to forest school, which she absolutely loved and was included for free. We moved our daughter to this childcare centre when she was just over 3 years old due to her previous childcare centre not being up to standard.

The small, homely sense of the house suits our kids better than some of the bigger venues we looked around, and the open plan layout encourages the kids to mix and ensures great supervision and oversight from the management team.

We are so impressed with the team who offer highly personal care, taking time to listen to our kids and what’s going on in their lives, and consistently are engaging with the kids when I do pick up. They have been highly responsive and worked closely with us when we have asked for adjustments. Our eldest daughter is quite sensitive but all the team are so attentive when she gets upset and comfort and distract her. They also cater to our specialist diet and our eldest has recently done the forest school programme which she absolutely loves.

They deserve their outstanding Ofsted rating. Such a fantastic, nurturing setting with the biggest outdoor space I’ve seen at a childcare centre.

Both kids have gone since the age of 1.

We got a excellent sense for the childcare centre setting, interaction of team and happiness of the kids from the moment we stepped through the door. This has been the same ever since.

The childcare centre team and management communicate brilliantly with parents and grandparents. Email queries are answered promptly and we are kept well informed of changes and events at the childcare centre. They have parents evening where you can get a more in-depth look at your kid’s development and get to taste the food menu with recipe ideas to try at home.

The key workers my kids have been involved with have known them inside out, are loved by the kids and they help to assistance routines and behaviours at home. We keep up to date with each other using an app, and it’s updated each day they attend so you can talk about their day and activities at home. I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old attending using the 30 free hours childcare but split over 51 weeks of the year which can be hard to find.

The team are highly expert and you can tell they truly care about the kids and have a passion for what they do. The activities are excellent and can be seen on their Facebook page or in more detail on the parent app. I consistently get a great handover on pick up. The food is excellent and they cater for dietary needs.
The updates throughout this pandemic has been exceptional! They have made changes to ensure a secure return for all. My little boy can’t wait to go back! Our kid has attended this childcare centre since he was 6 1/2 months old and he is now 3 so has been in all rooms.

All of the team are remarkable. She is so cheerful and contented and we adore to hear what she has been doing. The feedback is excellent and we know she is discovering so much and enjoying herself at the same time. I would not hesitate to suggest this childcare centre for any age. Our daughter has been attending Kaleidoscope Childcare centre for over 18 months.
