Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Chalfont St Peter

It’s a beautiful nursery, with outstanding facilities and well-thought-out activities for the kids each day. Both of my daughters have attended Hungry Caterpillar Day nursery at Chalfont St Peter, so we’ve been using their services since the day they opened. We’ve enjoyed our association with the nursery for almost 6 long years and have always been delighted with them. The team at Hungry Caterpillar are diligent, nurturing and truly ‘on it’.

Two of our kids have attended the nursery over the years, and we have always found it to be a content supportive setting for them. Our little ones have learnt loads from the setting and they come home‑like smiling each day! The team show a elevated degree of caregiving and both our son and daughter have enjoyed the delightful range of activities and engaging with the practitioners and their peers.

She has the best time. My daughter wakes up excited to get to nursery and is always keen to wave me goodbye at drop off (hopefully that says more about them than me as a parent)! Her growth and confidence is mostly down to the fantastic work the nursery has done since she started there at just 7 months old. She eats well, plays in so many different activities and is never short of a story/babble in the car on the way home‑like.

I have found that the team (especially the manager) have been hugely supportive and sensitive to making sure my daughter has been supported after bereavement. I will be sad to see her leave when she starts centre in September. They have put in place several measures to make things comfortable for us both, for which I am hugely grateful. My daughter has come on such a lot and she thoroughly enjoys it. I have been so content having my daughter at Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery.

Prices have gone up massively, but sadly this seems to be the case at all nurseries around this area. They keep us regularly updated with our kids’s progress and general well-being within the setting. The setting, across all age rooms, is delightful. We’ve had both our kids at the nursery for the past 2 years and are generally extremely content. The team are extremely approachable, whilst professional and on it. Lots of light, decorated in a colourful, tasteful, inspiring way. I’d highly highly recommend this nursery.

The space is spotless and well-maintained. Overall a fantastic experience in a tough industry. Areas for kids are looked after extremely well and provide a secure setting for playtime and development. We find the team to be extremely supportive and the settling of our one year old has been brilliant.

I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend the nursery. She often sprints up to her favourite practitioners at drop off, which is always a joy to see. One of the best things about the nursery is the updates we receive via the app about our daughter’s day (food, naps and etc.), as well as the in-depth progression reports. They offer a delightful selection of activities for the kids to do, including sessions run by external companies, and always make an effort to invite parents in on special occasions. The nursery is extremely secure, which was at the top of our priorities when choosing a setting. You can tell the team are truly invested in the kids’s growth. What a remarkable nursery! The facilities are modern, spotless and bright and the team (management and nursery team) are always inviting. Our daughter loves attending and is so content there.

My Granddaughter loves going to nursery. I am full of admiration for the enjoyable educational group activities that team lead each session. Heads straight into breakfast, which is a fantastic incentive to leave me. Smiles at the team that opens the door to her. I adore the App updates.

Extremely comprehensive reports produced – some of the observations have been interesting and some surprising and probably worthy of discussion. Some minor issues over sleeping, but overall she seems settled. Unfortunately, I have no other nursery to compare with. Our granddaughter is extremely content to go but appears unusually quiet when left.

The team are always extremely approachable and give feedback on how the youngster has done that day and any little incidents which might have occurred and talk to each of the carers as they pick up their youngster. I’m extremely impressed by this nursery after having gone to grandparents day and seen all the different activities there are to amuse the kids and to stimulate their growth. The Hungry Caterpillars nursery is situated in the centre of Chalfont St Peter with lots of free parking around, which makes pick-ups extremely easy. I would highly highly recommend it as being a well-run and nurturing organisation. It has a extremely secure entry system, which is essential for youngster protection and assurance to parents. My granddaughter is truly content there and has made some delightful little friends.
