Holmwood House Nursery

He is consistently cheerful to go and comes home full of excitement with lovely things and to show or tell me about his day. They do all sorts from arts and crafts to Zumba to French lessons and not to mention 1-1 literacy time which will be such a head start for him when he goes to school. The team here are fantastic, they really took the time to get to know my son and our family (my oldest son attended Holmwood too) and consistently treat all the kids in their care as valued individuals while helping them to understand the importance of boundaries – all of which I know will make the transition to school so much easier! Honestly, I cannot suggest them highly enough. My youngest son attends two days a week and absolutely loves it.

He only does one day per week, but he absolutely loves his weekly trip to the childcare centre! The team truly are the loveliest ladies and they really go above and beyond to make the days stimulating, enjoyable and varied for the kids. As our son only does one day per week it took him a little while to settle into it at first, but since day 1 the team have consistently been so welcoming, understanding and lovely, that we have consistently felt so cheerful and comfortable with him being there which is so important. We have no doubt that childcare centre is one of the key factors in building our sons self‑assurance, he has come on leaps and bounds since attending there. They consistently have a yummy home-cooked lunch which is excellent, and we adore keeping up to date with the ‘Tapestry’ webpage to see what our son has been up to! Couldn’t suggest Holmwood House and its team highly enough. Our son has been attending Holmwood House Childcare centre since the age of 1 (he is now approaching 2).

My youngest son attends 2 days a week and loves his time there.As a kid who has several medical ‘issues’ I was apprehensive about leaving him in the care of anyone else. I needn’t have worried! They take his allergies and associated anxieties towards food seriously, have consistently reassured him that what he is being given is secure and encouraged him to explore and try new foods. Academically he is well challenged and socially they have given him the self‑assurance to explore new situations. He is consistently excited to tell us what he has been up to and their use of Tapestry is incredible – I adore getting a notification at work! All the kids thrive here, it is consistently spotless and the opportunities provided are incredible. All those that work there are truly incredible people – supporting and reassuring not only the kid but the parent too. I cannot fault this fantastic, welcoming childcare centre and my only two regrets are that I didn’t start him sooner and that I didn’t send his older brother there too! Wow!

The childcare centre team are consistently so lovely and welcoming to both parents and kids and our daughter feels cheerful and content in their care.
Our daughter has a slight visual impairment which all team are aware of, they go above and beyond to make sure that the facilities and activities are suitable and secure. The team have put together a care plan for our daughter which we all work together on.
We couldn’t ask for a better and safer setting to send our daughter and we are looking forward to her baby sister starting next year. Our daughter has been attending Holmwood House Childcare centre for just over a year now and she absolutely loves childcare centre days.
