Holmwood House Nursery

Our son has been attending Holmwood Nursery since the age of nine months. The staff are very attentive and always so welcoming. It is clear to see our son has an enjoyable day by the smile on his face when we pick him up and the observations/ pictures posted to our private tapestry account. The staff are very knowledgeable about our son likes, wishes and needs and are always happy to discuss any concerns that we may have regarding his development. The location of the nursery is beautiful, surrounded by woodland and open fields. This continues into the nursery by the wonderful outdoor space they have. He loves the delicious home cooked meals, we are told he always finishes his plate and asks for more. We are extremely happy with the care our son receives and feel that the friendly homely environment and helped him to become the cheeky, fun-loving toddler he is now. We would recommend Holmwood House Nursery to any parents looking for a nursery where their children can flourish and grow.

Our son has been attending Holmwood House Nursery since the age of 1 (he is now approaching 2). He only does one day per week, but he absolutely loves his weekly trip to the nursery! The staff truly are the loveliest ladies and they really go above and beyond to make the days stimulating, fun and varied for the children. As our son only does one day per week it took him a little while to settle into it at first, but since day 1 the staff have always been so welcoming, understanding and lovely, that we have always felt so happy and comfortable with him being there which is so important. We have no doubt that nursery is one of the key factors in building our sons confidence, he has come on leaps and bounds since attending there. They always have a yummy home-cooked lunch which is great, and we love keeping up to date with the ‘Tapestry’ webpage to see what our son has been up to! Couldn’t recommend Holmwood House and its staff highly enough.

My daughter has just started at Holmwood House nursery at the age of 8 months and wow I’m so impressed with the level of care that my daughter is receiving. Staff are very welcoming, even the staff that are not necessarily in my daughter’s room. Staff are very supportive. It’s nice to see the different selection of toys that are available. Tapestry is very easy to use and it’s great that we can log on to see what our daughter has been doing. Whenever we go to pick her up she is very smiley. Thank you Holmwood House Nursery.

Wow! My youngest son attends 2 days a week and loves his time there.As a child who has several medical ‘issues’ I was apprehensive about leaving him in the care of anyone else. I needn’t have worried! They take his allergies and associated anxieties towards food seriously, have always reassured him that what he is being given is safe and encouraged him to explore and try new foods. Academically he is well challenged and socially they have given him the confidence to explore new situations. He is always excited to tell us what he has been up to and their use of Tapestry is amazing – I love getting a notification at work! All the children thrive here, it is always clean and the opportunities provided are incredible. All those that work there are truly amazing people – supporting and reassuring not only the child but the parent too. I cannot fault this wonderful, welcoming nursery and my only two regrets are that I didn’t start him sooner and that I didn’t send his older brother there too!
