Hitchin House Day Nursery

The setting created in every class ( my two kids have been in 3 of the 4 rooms they have because of their ages) is outstanding, resources, team and approach are exceptional. I have never left that place without a smile or worry. My eldest looks forward to childcare centre every day, she constantly let us know what she does and learns and how it suits every demand her little brain needs. They follow their curiosity and turn them into an educational activity. The updates about development and activities is consistently there, team is consistently there to answer questions whatever they are. I’m cheerful to suggest this childcare centre for anyone preparing their little ones into school, the extra assistance they do for the “school leavers” is exceptional. I haven’t heard of it in any other nurseries in the area that are also outstanding. Couldn’t be happier, we are lucky to be in! From the moment you visit the childcare centre, you know every kid will be engaged, cheerful, comfortable and looked after to high standards.

The kids are loved, cared for and have so much enjoyable! The team are excellent at communicating, highly skilled and build development into their training. In addition, my son has complex and serious food allergies and they have been exceptional in including him and keeping him secure – we work together as a team. Would suggest Hitchin House to anyone! Both my kids attend(ed) Hitchin House spanning the last two years, 5 days a week and across rooms as they’ve grown and has been a fantastic journey.

We are also grateful for the special extras, such as the weekly dance classes, tea parties and Sunday craft clubs.
But most importantly, what fills our hearts with gratitude and joy, is seeing that our kid thrived so much on all levels since she joined the childcare centre. And this is thanks to the incredible educators and team who are passionate and attentive and consistently open to communicate and provide tailored assistance, whether that means brightening up a grumpy morning, potty discovering or taking the time to speak to a parent on an ad hoc basis. So, whether they are qualified as pre-school or Montessori educators, or childcare centre educators, everyone at Hitchin House wears a wizard cloak and we are very grateful for their magic. We really appreciate the wide range of activities our kid is being engaged in, the daily updates, and the various environments that are available – workshop, garden, theatre, library, climbing wall, Montessori area, dining area where they can delight in yummy meals cooked from scratch on-site.

The care they show the kids is second to none, they are remarkable caregivers and show the kids a fantastic journey of the world through messy playtime, storytime, sing and sign, as well as many others.
I receive daily updates on my kid and it feels me with self‑assurance when I see how well he is thriving.
Hitchin House put the kids and team first which has been exemplary, especially with the challenges of the pandemic of the last few years. My son has been attending Hitchin House Day Childcare centre since June 2021 and I have nothing but praise for the childcare centre and all team.

Outstanding childcare centre, we sense our little boy is very well looked after and cared for and he loves going to the childcare centre, it’s hardly ever a struggle and he is consistently meet by open arms, and very compassionate and thoughtful team, who also are very expert and great at what they do.

The team are excellent and they all seem to genuinely adore what they do. Leaving your kid in someone else’s care especially from 9 months old is a big thing and the team at Hitchin House Day Childcare centre made that transition easier by showing me how much they cared for our little boy and his specific needs, routine behaviour. We get updated throughout the day with pictures and videos of what he’s doing and it’s lovely to see as well as hear how he’s getting on. He nearly consistently has a huge smile on his face!
I think the team at Hitchin House Day Childcare centre have created a fantastic setting with lots of adore and with kids’s creativity and development at the forefront of everything they do. If you are looking for a childcare centre, go and see it in action for yourself but you won’t be disappointed! Our son attends the childcare centre and his face lights up as soon as arrives as he clearly loves being there.

My daughter loves going and when she is at home, consistently happily chats about it and the friends she has there. She consistently looks to be having a excellent time, whilst playing with very varied toys and doing enjoyable activities in the photo updates we get. A lovely childcare centre, with remarkable facilities and very welcoming team.

She can’t wait to leave the house early in the morning (shoes on, coat on, bag in hand waiting at the door) and has the biggest smile on her face when we collect her.
So pleased that she loves it at Hitchin House Day Childcare centre. Our daughter absolutely loves it at childcare centre.

The team are outstanding, they really do care about the kids and there is not a high turnover so the kids have consistency and stability. The childcare centre has a Montessori type approach and the kids are free to engage in what interests them, with a gentle hand now and again helping to steer them in the right direction! I would not hesitate in recommending Hitchin House Day Childcare centre to other parents. I am very cheerful with Hitchin House Day Childcare centre.

The childcare centre is an extremely loving and nurturing setting for young kids, providing them with a range of enjoyable and engaging activities to assistance their early year’s development. The team are exceptional; the adore and care they show for the kids are reflected in their work and their updates keeps parents up to date as to what their kids are doing and how the childcare centre is operating as a whole. The skills that my son has gained at the childcare centre have been invaluable and he absolutely loves going in every morning! Couldn’t rate it enough for prospective parents, it is a relationship with the whole family! My son has been at Hitchin House Childcare centre for almost 2 years and his time there has exceeded our expectations.
