Hertford Barns

Lots for him to do and some lovely team who really engage with the kids.
I have excellent comfort in knowing he is secure and cheerful, with some excellent photos posted via the app to make me smile during the day.
We consistently have a feedback sheet of what they have been up to and a weekly newsletter. We sense part of the childcare centre.
Would suggest to anyone. My kid attends on two days a week and I can safely say he has a excellent time.

He loves being there and has thrived since starting, enjoying a wide range of activities and an outstanding varied menu of food. The team are exceptional. We are consistently greeted with a inviting and welcoming welcome and kept well informed about his day, as well as general things going on at the childcare centre itself. The facilities are of an extremely high standard, with a great selection of toys, books and spaces to playtime and explore. The setting on the edge of a farm also provides fantastic outside space, which was a real draw for me when choosing a childcare centre, and the team are consistently enthusiastic about getting everyone outside into the fresh air no matter the weather (within reason of course)! I would highly suggest this childcare centre and extend a massive thank you to all the fabulous team who take such great care of our son and make his days so enjoyable. Our son has been attending Hertford Barns since October 2021 and it has provided a secure, nurturing and enjoyable setting for him.

From the start, this has been pretty poor, but she was only going 2 days a week. Now she goes full-time, we only receive 2/3 updates a month despite raising this several times (1 post on the app for the whole of April).
Family relatives also have kids in nurseries elsewhere (who also pay less) and they all receive frequent updates any day their kid is in childcare centre. My daughter has been going here for a great amount of time now and she absolutely loves it – no complaints there!
I can also see that team do take care in what they do and look after our kids very well.
My only negative is that the childcare centre provides an app which is supposed to tell and show you how your kid has been getting on – photos, toilets during day details, naps etc.

We were originally drawn to it by the outside space, but it offers so much more.
His speech has developed brilliantly, and he talks about the team very fondly. Team greet him with huge smiles at drop off and consistently give a great rundown of his day on collection. They supported us when he first joined to ensure that he settled quickly, and they knew things about him before he even arrived. We have attended parent’s evenings there, and they are consistently supportive in terms of working towards things that we at home are also focusing on.
As parents, we are very cheerful with the care our son receives, but he also now tells us about his day with excitement. My son has been attending Hertford Barns since September 2021, and we could not be happier with how he has settled in and the assistance he has received.

The team are exceptional; so compassionate, attentive and supportive and really went above and beyond to help our son settle in when he started. I’ve been really impressed by the variety of fresh food made on site and the facilities – in particular the outdoor space which our son absolutely adores. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and would suggest it highly to other parents. We’ve had a fantastic journey with our son attending Hertford Barns Childcare centre.

The team have been a excellent assistance during their initial settling in phase, transitions with key workers and progressing to older rooms. As a parent, it is invaluable to know that your kid is secure, well cared for and looked after which is very much how we sense. The location is lovely, lots of outside space and they’ve recently had lambs which the kids have been able to feed and name. We would highly suggest Hertford Barns and have done so to friends and colleagues. Our son and daughter both attend Hertford Barns and throughout their time we’ve had a very positive journey.

The food is excellent, a lot of variety and encourages kids to try new things. Lots of activities which seem tailored to the kids interests. Excellent team and key workers.

Overall we have been extremely cheerful with the childcare centre.

I sense reassured in the knowledge that my son has a secure and secure setting to learn and playtime when I leave him. The team have built a strong relationship with our family and are consistently outstanding, welcoming, expert and personable. There seems to be a consistent exciting approach to my son’s experiences and he is consistently telling us about new games and discovering opportunities. I wouldn’t want my son to be cared for anywhere else especially during his important early years. The facilities are outstanding with a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Every element of the provision is 10/10.
The calming and nurturing indoor setting caters for all needs, from quiet time to messy playtime and the amount of outside space available is stellar.
The boys have loved every minute of their time here and will be sad to leave when they start full time school in September.
The catering and food options are incredible and my boys have been introduced to such a wide variety of Healthy and wholesome foods.
The different Key workers that the boys have had over the last 3 years have been fantastic and really had a big part to playtime in our boys lives.
All the team are consistently so cheerful, compassionate and attentive, and our kids are very lucky to have them all as part of their life stories.
I would also like to say a big thank you to all the other assistance team, including management, kitchen team and reception who are consistently cheerful to help with and answer questions or queries promptly. Our boys have been attending Hertford Barns since March 2020.

Returning to work is a tough and conflicting time for any parent. However, since joining at Hertford Barns, I have found the team to be welcoming and genuine, expert and positive. I sense like the girls in the room really do know my son. Team consistently ask about my son every morning – how his night was, his weekend, and if he’s well and cheerful etc and are consistently willing to tweak or tailor his routine at childcare centre around my wishes or concerns (for example, for sleeping longer periods at night, the girls helped with shortening and moving his nap times around). Being at childcare centre also massively helped with weaning and introducing new and varied foods and discovering to use a bottle and sippy cup. I find he is a cheerful and sociable baby – my husband and my family say the same. My son started five months ago when he was eight months old and as our first kid, we had limited journey or knowledge of childcare outside of the home.
