March 11, 2020 at 12:00 amWe are thrilled with the fantastic start our daughter has had at Heathcote Nursery. The staff are extremely kind and welcoming, and the small class meant they were able to go above and beyond to help her settle in when she started at age two. We loved the wide range of educational, play and social opportunities on offer, alongside the individual learning activities tailored to our daughter’s own stages of development, which you just don’t get anywhere else. Being in the nursery and part of the wider Heathcote family meant her transition to the main school Reception was smooth and exciting for her (and a relief for me) because she was already so comfortable with the staff, routines and learning environment. She is just so happy there. Our son turns two in April and he can’t wait to get started. All the staff know him and he already just feels part of the school.
Ultimately we have two very happy children who are getting the best education and who have made the best friends.

April 29, 2020 at 12:00 amMy little girl has been attending the pre-school at Heathcote for a few months now, and truly enjoys it. Due to the small group size; she gets focused attention and development help. The school is very welcoming, and there is a very ‘loving’ feel about it. They truly do nurture the children.

February 4, 2021 at 12:00 amHeathcote is more than just a nursery. It’s inclusive, current in its approach and most importantly, fun for the children. My eldest attended the nursery and now my youngest does. They love it there and have progressed so well in such a short space of time. I recall looking at other nurseries for my youngest to join before turning 2 and nothing else compared and so waited. It’s important to note that during the coronavirus pandemic, and the reopening of Heathcote, the nursery have adhered to the guidelines respectfully, and the transition in attending nursery has remained a safe and welcoming environment.

February 5, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son was at Heathcote Nursery for 2 years prior to starting in Reception and his confidence came on leaps and bounds which I credit to the school. It’s relatively small and the personal touches are what make it a great place to grow.
My daughter has just started aged 2, has only ever been with me or her grandparents so was very clingy but settled in so quickly which took us all by surprise. I was hesitant about her starting without my son being there for support (due to the rest of the school being closed) and when learning of my concerns the headteacher gave me a call to talk it through which I really appreciated given the pressures they are under in the current climate I’m sure she had more pressing matters! But these personal touches are what make it such a lovely school/nursery. I look forward to watching her grow in the same way my son did.
My only criticism is that they can’t start earlier than 2 years old!

February 9, 2021 at 12:00 amHeathcote has a great nursery setting which has been the perfect blend of small enough to be very nurturing but perfect for little ones to get used to being in a school setting. My child has progressed greatly in their care in terms of confidence, vocabulary and understanding. They are so good with the kids and it shows in the way my little one bounds in again and again and has done since day one!

February 17, 2021 at 12:00 amMy child has attended since he was 2 years old and I could not be happier with the choice we made. The teachers know all the children by sight and it has a wonderful family feeling. With all the added benefits of the best education.
I really would recommend Heathcote to all.

March 19, 2021 at 12:00 amThis school can only be compared to a family. Everyone is so helpful and knows each child individually. It is a unique setting with care, community and aspiration at the heart of it.
Best choice I ever made and speaking as a mother of three, with my second attending Heathcote Preparatory School & Nursery, hopefully my third will be joining soon.

March 19, 2021 at 12:00 amThere are no words to truly describe how much we adore being a part of the Heathcote Preparatory School & Nursery family. They have always gone above and beyond for our child and we would recommend them to everyone. Not only are the staff professionals but they are so kind and welcoming, both to my daughter and myself. When the staff noticed my child was an early reader, they gently encouraged her new skill and have nurtured her love for learning. We are very much looking forward to watching our child develop in her academic and creative skills at this wonderful school. We feel privileged to have out place within Heathcote Preparatory School & Nursery.

December 7, 2021 at 12:00 amMy son has been part of the Heathcote Preparatory School & Nursery world and family since September this year and his transition has been smooth and considered. The teaching staff have welcomed him with open minds and truly invested in getting to know him. I’m delighted by the variety they bring to his development, from outdoors learning and exercise to school assemblies. I particularly like how he’s mixed with the years above occasionally. It’s clear there’s a strong balance between his development as well as academia, but it has to be said, his writing and recognition of letters and numbers has come on almost unrecognisably since he started there. There really is a strong sense of community and belonging at Heathcote and we look forward to all our future years and experiences there.
