Lovely to have so much time and emphasis on outdoor activities. We moved to Devon from London, and our son was immediately made welcome and part of the hdc family.

All 3 of our kids have loved attending hdc Dartington and I sense very confident with the care and education they’ve received. My kids adore childcare centre, they are cheerful, engaged and have exceptional bonds with their key workers.

The manager is doing a remarkable job of managing hdc Dartington and we would also like to particularly thank three team members. Who have all been so compassionate and who our kids have loved being with and have really benefitted from their guidance. Both of our kids have been to hdc Dartington and absolutely flourished there.

Our son loves it here and has developed really well and made excellent friends. I would highly suggest to any parent. Hdc is a remarkable childcare centre.

The team are welcoming and welcoming.
A great variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
My daughter has made bonds with the team and she really enjoys it there.
I would suggest hdc Dartington as my daughter really enjoys it there.

Overall an outstanding childcare centre. Both of our daughters have gone to hdc Dartington and we are very cheerful with the experiences both have had.

March 4, 2025 at 4:10 pmThere are a range of themes and activities to ignite in her passion for discovering. The team are very attentive as well. The outside space is also lovely and big. I would adore to see a few more exposure outings for the kids/possibly use of the big field opposite the village stores. Nevertheless, all in all, I highly suggest this childcare centre. Humpty Dumpty childcare centre has been such a special place to take my daughter.

They have recently moved to a new app but I’m sure once it is all in place updates will be as great as it was with the old app. Thank you hdc Dartington! My son loves it at childcare centre and we couldn’t be happier.

March 21, 2025 at 6:19 amexcellent outdoors area for all but the babies although they need it the least so I don’t think this is a problem. Really great food cooked on site by their really welcoming cook. We are kept well informed about how our kids are doing. Lovely team.

All team but especially her key worker have been nothing but incredible to me and my daughter. Couldn’t be happier, so for that I’m ever so thankful. My little girl started in childcare centre 4 months ago, I was so scared of putting her in a childcare centre let alone someone else attentive for her, but it’s been the best decision.

March 26, 2025 at 6:43 pmAt first, he was hesitant going in, but now I’m lucky to get a kiss, he is straight in. He is still cheerful to see me when I pick him up which is lovely. I’m very cheerful with the childcare centre. My grandson has come on so well since going here.

It is a lovely setting and he is thriving there. My two and a half year old attends this childcare centre, he loves it and I am impressed with the care and affection he is shown by the workers.

They are really responsive to his and our needs and requests; they give him loads of opportunities to learn, explore and discover the world at his own pace, and they consistently keep us informed and up to date with what is going on.
Thanks to the team- you are excellent! The team at hdc are welcoming, welcoming and supportive.

All the team come across as very welcoming, attentive, and dedicated, and we have been really pleased with how our daughter has settled in and got more and more involved with all the enjoyable-looking activities that are organised. The team put a lot of time and effort into organising excellent activities and seem to really care about making the days enjoyable and varied. We have been really pleased with how much outdoor time the kids seem to have.
My satisfactory rating on value for money is not a reflection of the childcare centre itself. I think the childcare centre is excellent, just that childcare is a lot to afford, and that is not the fault of the childcare centre but the government. My kid seems to really delight in her days at hdc Dartington.

Our daughter has become attached to her key person in every room who have helped her come on miles both verbally and with her self‑assurance. They alway have lots of activities and a excellent outdoor space for the kids to run around/learn in. Our daughter has attended the childcare centre since she was around year old and followed their groups from babies to preschool.

July 7, 2025 at 1:36 amOur youngest is currently in The Meadow (toddler room) and runs in excitedly each morning. They do loads of enjoyable activities with the kids, like baking, painting, making music, growing vegetables in the garden and lots of free playtime. Our eldest was really well prepared for school by the childcare centre with them adopting a school like routine in the last year where they practised getting changed for Physical Education and took more responsibility for themselves through the day along with having a great initial introduction to phonics and counting etc.
The team are all really lovely, and clearly seem cheerful to work there, and the childcare centre itself has a nice calm sense with lots of outdoor space. The menu is varied and a lot healthier than what our eldest is now given at school. I would highly suggest this childcare centre. Both of our daughters have gone to hdc Dartington and both adore it.
