February 2, 2025 at 3:39 pmIt is small enough to have a family sense but also has excellent flexibility. The team are attentive and welcoming and seem to know all the kids really well.
Both my boys, aged 4 and 23 months are very cheerful there and delight in telling me what they have done each day – my youngest doesn’t want to leave! The childcare centre have been supportive in recognising a slight speech delay and supporting my eldest with this. There is great updates between childcare centre and parents.
The food provided is generally healthy and nutritious and all meals provided. There is great structured activity, especially in the pre-school room to help get ready for ‘big school’. It’s so hard deciding on childcare but we’re so pleased that we chose Cheerful Hearts and I know my eldest will miss it when it’s time to move on. Cheerful Hearts is a lovely welcoming setting for little ones.

March 5, 2025 at 5:14 amWhen we initially started my daughter at Cheerful Hearts in July 2021 we were very cheerful with them. But after 4 team members left, it became clear the childcare centre was struggling to cope. Invoices were not sent for months, despite parents chasing repeatedly. The team that left were not replaced and agency team brought in to maintain legal ratios. My daughter was not allocated a replacement key worker. Team knowingly went in with covid! Hygiene was ignored and my potty-trained 3 year old was put in a nappy for the afternoon on more than one occasion even after we requested that it stop! My daughter was devastated. She was frequently bitten, hit or kicked by other kids who were known to lash out yet nothing was being done to prevent it. All contact with management ceased. When I formally gave notice to withdraw my daughter I had no response. I couldn’t get her out of there fast enough. I’m not sure how this place is still in business! Please avoid!

April 6, 2025 at 8:44 amCheerful Hearts is a small but fantastic childcare centre. All of the team are very welcoming and take the time to get to know every kid well. It is a very loving and nurturing setting.
The sessions are well-timed and the childcare centre is open all year round (with the exception of bank holidays). The fees are incredibly reasonable considering what is included in the price. The food is lovely and varied and consistently includes a hot meal at lunch.
My daughter has come on leaps and bounds at Cheerful Hearts and I know she will be sad to leave next year. My daughter had been attending Cheerful Hearts for the past 3 years and she loves it.
