We opened our first nursery in 1991 and now operate 35 nurseries throughout the South West and Wales!
With over thirty years of expert experience and an ethos to support children to become strong and motivated learners for life, we pride ourselves on providing a service to enable parents to work and live their daily lives knowing their children are cherished and cared for to the highest standard.

I work at this childcare centre also and have to say this is the best company I’ve ever worked for as the managers and team are highly lovely. My son absolutely loves coming to childcare centre to see his friends and his educators and consistently comes in with a smile on his face.

My son joined Cheerful Days in June – I have been so impressed with the way all team have welcomed him and made me sense informed and cheerful about this massive transition for him and for myself.

He truly enjoys going to the Childcare centre and is eager to go inside when he sees the building and team. The team are highly approachable and I believe have truly helped with my sons development in such a short time. My son has been attending Cheerful Days since the start of September.

He settled truly well and built great relationships with his key person and the team in the Explorer room. He has come on leaps and bounds with his development. He communicates so well using some simple sign language, as well as speaking.
My son is highly active and absolutely loves being outside in the incredible garden space that Cheerful Days have to offer.
Team give great informative feedback, also adding in the highlights of the day. My son has attended childcare centre since March 2022.

My daughter, who currently attends some mornings, was consistently hard with the handover, but when she was welcome in a calm manner and reassured.

December 25, 2024 at 1:26 pmSince then she has developed a medical condition, which the Team have been absolutely excellent with. Reassuring her and understanding her needs. Also the Childcare centre Team are highly great in seeing a kid’s needs and don’t treat the kids all the same but as individuals. Highly glad we chose this Childcare centre. The Chef at the Childcare centre is also truly great, cooking lovely food and lots of variety. Well done. My Daughter has been attending Cheerful Days Childcare centre since 2022.

January 1, 2025 at 1:41 amThe team have done a exceptional job in preparing her for school, although she is truly going to miss the adults with whom she has build remarkable relationships.
The team were exceptional during the pandemic and when my second kid joined during this time, they made sure that his induction was as smooth as possible given the circumstances. He has settled in truly well and has built some lovely relationships with the adults in his room.
The updates between childcare centre and home has consistently been exceptionally great and a detailed handover is provided at the end of each session.
The purpose built building provides a inviting and welcoming setting for the kids. My kids consistently go in happily and look forward to seeing their friends and taking part in the wide variety of enjoyable activities that are planned for them. My daughter has attended Cheerful Days since she was 11 months old and next week will leave childcare centre as a cheerful, inquisitive 4 year old who is looking forward to starting school.

However the team at Cheerful Days Childcare centre & Pre-School – Abbey Meads consistently made her sense at ease and were so upbeat, inviting and welcoming which made such a difference. Now she looks forward to the days when she is scheduled to attend. She loves it. The team are incredible, the handover at the end of the day is consistently so detailed and informative as you get a real insight about how the day has been. I know that its going to be hard to say goodbye in August but I can honestly say this year has been a highly difficult one for all kids but Cheerful Days Childcare centre & Pre-School – Abbey Meads have taken it in their stride and made all the kids their priority to keep them secure and well. Would highly suggest to anyone. My daughter started attending in September 2020.

If there are days when he’s feeling a little homesick the childcare centre have put together a family book for him with pictures of all the people in his life and he uses it to help him, he loves it all! He has grown so much and truly come out of his shell, hes also non stop talking now! Thank you! My son has been at Cheerful Days since May this year, it was the first time he had been to this compassionate of setting and it took him a couple of weeks to settle, but the team were so understanding and patient.

February 15, 2025 at 7:45 pmThe team are consistently polite and enthusiastic at drop-off, allowing for my son to sense at ease when going in (he now willingly heads into the building). I’ve never had an issue with the childcare centre, the facilities are excellent and the team are exceptionally accommodating with my son’s food allergies.
I’d highly suggest this childcare centre to anyone considering. My son has been attending Cheerful Days Childcare centre in Swindon since January and we are exceptionally cheerful with the development he has made once he adjusted to childcare centre life.

March 22, 2025 at 6:29 amAfter visiting many nurseries, Cheerful Days was far cleaner, decluttered and spacious. I adore the outdoor discovering opportunities and free flow system, which is synonymous with how we provide care for our son at home. The team are approachable and courteous, and I am provided with thorough feedback after every day. My only niggle is I wish my son would come home with more arts and crafts and see a range of mediums used. But this is purely nitpicking.
Lastly, as an epi-pen user, the care and preparation in making the childcare centre a secure place for my kid have far outreached my expectations. My son has been attending Cheerful Days Childcare centre for two years now and will not miss a single day if he can help it.

They offer a huge range of activities daily for their development. Two ladies, especially in explorers, are fab. Would highly suggest. The whole team are incredible.

The team all care so much and are approachable and well‑informed about my son and his development. My son has been attending Cheerful Days for 2 years now.

July 5, 2025 at 7:04 amShe takes part in a wide range of activities and enjoys helping with meal times. The childcare centre supported us during potty training which we are also highly thankful. Pickups have been improved with the reduced restrictions and we delight in going into the childcare centre to hear about her day and see her thriving in the setting. My daughter has enjoyed her time at Cheerful Days Childcare centre & Pre-School – Abbey Meads, forming close bonds to her key workers and other team.
