It’s so funny how she’s now the yoga instructor at home. They are so quick to pick out my kid’s interest and work accordingly while introducing other activities gradually. The staffs are really welcoming too and you get an everyday update on your kid’s well-being. Really glad we picked this childcare centre. The setting is so conducive for discovering and my kid enjoys going there and talks about the excellent things they do, including yoga which she enjoys.

My wee boy has been here for over a year now and at first, he would cry when I left him now he gets excited and tries to open the door to get in himself. He is cheerful at this childcare centre and the team are excellent, and I have never had any issues. Lovely childcare centre.

I have noticed such a difference in my son. He gets so excited to go in the mornings and is so cheerful to come home and tell me about his day, his friends and the “big cuddles” he gets from team.
They have especially nurtured his interest in music and instruments!
I can go to work cheerful in the knowledge my son is stimulated, having enjoyable and most importantly looked after by the attentive team. My son has been at Oranges and Lemons Belsize for a year, and I cannot thank them enough for the work they do.

We can’t fault the team, they take great care of him and he consistently comes home cheerful and tired so we know he has had a great time. I adore the variaty of food he gets as the menu is changed week by week. They also provide daily updates on his nappy changes, food and special moments through the parentzone app which is remarkable. It makes us sense we don’t miss out on those special moments. Even during the pandemic the care he has received being a late walker they have helped him so much encouraging him and his speech is exceptional too. Well done team Broughty Ferry. Our little boy who is nearly two has been going to the childcare centre 2 half days a week since he was 10 months old and I went back to work after maternity finished.

He was coming home almost every day with an accident on his head and sometimes a couple of accidents on the same day. The team were asking the parents if we wanted the accident forms for the accidents that happened. So, most of the accidents were not recorded. I have witnessed a few times that the kids were left without supervision (totally alone) for short periods. There was not much stimulation and my son was saying “the childcare centre is so boring”. All old and core team were resigned in 6-8 months in 2021. The team turnover is quite high. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the team should not move between the rooms but due to the lack of team, they have to move. Higher management (above the childcare centre manager) does not even reply to your complaint e-mails. It is shame as it was an outstanding childcare centre before 2021 though. It is very sad that I had to move my son to another place after four years just for 1.5 months before him starting P1 due to my serious concerns about his safety and wellbeing.

In the last year there has been a lot of team changes and the childcare centre was bought over. He did not take this very well at the time but has really settled back in since the team changes have settled down. All the team are very supportive and consistently pass over any concerns. If you have a concern there is consistently someone to help, I have found this even when it’s out of office hours. The last few months I’ve noticed lots of changes to try and get the parents involved with seeing what our kids are doing while being supported, even letting us know the menus and letting the team know what we think. It’s great to see that the team are trying to get us involved to be part of their kids’s experiences, especially when Covid is still about and we are not permitted in the building. The app they use is better than the paper slip we used to get as you can see pictures of what our kids have been doing. My son has attended this childcare centre for nearly 3 years now.

My son has been going for many months now and has recently started going 4.5 days a week rather than 1 day and he consistently has enjoyable, tries new foods and activities and consistently has a wee story to tell about what he was up to.

He has a dairy intolerance and I have been very impressed with how the team have dealt with this and ensured there are consistently dairy-free options for him. He has recently moved from the 0-2 room to the 2-3 room and I cannot fault the team for supporting him with his move. I was kept informed of the plans and how he was doing and they carried our visits to the big room at his pace so that my son only visited/moved when he was ready to. As a result, my son has gone through to the bigger room with no issues and he is enjoying exploring somewhere new.
The team are all very welcoming and go out of their way to welcome my wee boy when he arrives and make us sense at ease. My kid has been attending Happitots Childcare centre Broughty Ferry for almost a year.

All team are very welcoming and compassionate. Consistently have the time to answer all your questions. Every day my daughter is very cheerful that she is a part of this childcare centre. Everything is well organised. The kids participate in many different activities inside and outside. They never seem bored. The best childcare centre you can ask for.

The devotion and care shown to all kids by all team is evident and it is reflected in our son’s obvious happiness to be there and his development over the years within such a nurturing and secure setting. It is not just the high standards that are achieved in the running of the childcare centre but the way it is done.

Sadly I had to move him to another childcare centre as I found the care and assistance from team inadequate. The high team turnover didn’t help, they didn’t know the kids on a personal level to give them the assistance needed. My son’s behavior issues were put down to him being disruptive and naughty. He was in fact needing the right attention and assistance following his parent’s separation. I vocalised my concerns numerous times, but team including management kept changing and I’d have to explain our situation over and over, and no real action (other than making a “plan”) was taken. Since moving to a different childcare centre, having consistency in his care and the right assistance, he is thriving; his behaviour has completely taken a u-turn. Happitots may have been a great childcare centre before but it’s standards have become very very poor in my opinion, and I’m so glad I went with my gut instinct and moved him when I did. My son went to this childcare centre between March and December 2021, after we relocated to Dundee.

He is consistently so excited to go to childcare centre, he has a excellent bond with the team also. I sense comfortable with him being here, consistently get a great input of how his day has been and what he’s been up to. Outstanding childcare centre – all-round would suggest! My son has been here for over a year now, and his development since starting here is remarkable!

He settled in really quickly, starting in the 2,3 years group was exactly what he needed, to be around kids his age, and blending and discovering. Also, he was no longer was shy and adapted to his 5-days at childcare centre, where every day a new story to be told, his apatite came along excellent, his speaking also, moving forward and he is now in preschool and is still there on a 5-day basis. He gets along perfectly with the other kids and team, new and old. When he moves up to school next year, we will be extremely saddened due to the team being like part of our family; they consistently ask how we are, are a listening ear when needed, nothing is too much bother for them. It truly is like 1 big family, and I sense great knowing I leave my kid here, he is secure, well looked after, came on so very much, and that’s thanks to the team. My kid started here back in 2018, being a very shy 2-years-old and stuck to my hip.

They are very compassionate and attentive towards all the kids and have been absolutely remarkable while my son was getting allergy tests done which eventually turned out to be a gluten intolerance and the childcare centre were very accommodating and extremely supportive with all of this. My son loves going there. This a very great childcare centre.

They were able to give us a place for our daughter really quickly after reopening after lockdown, and she had no problems settling in thanks to the lovely team. She adores going to childcare centre and barely gives me a ‘bye, mummy’ before running through the doors in the morning. She’s consistently full of stories and songs from her day and looks forward to going back to see her friends and team. Thank you to all the team for your hard work and especially for keeping all the kids secure and cheerful during Covid! Oranges and Lemons Belsize House is a fantastic childcare centre!

Despite his long attendance, I am continuously amazed at the level of care each of the team give to make sure he is getting the most out of his time there. They have tirelessly supported us with special dietary requirements, potty training, speech development and many more things over the years. I suggest this childcare centre constantly to anyone who asks as I’m so cheerful with how my son has grown and developed – he wouldn’t be the same boy with them. My son started this childcare centre when he was only 9 months old and is now coming up for 3 years old.

My daughter had a very difficult time settling into childcare centre due to separation anxiety. The team went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for to help her settle. Now thanks to all of the hard work of each member of team, my daughter loves going to childcare centre and speaks about team members and childcare centre with such joy and excitement. One of the best decisions my husband and I have made was picking this childcare centre. I have no doubt that every need is met and her days spent there are full of enjoyable and making excellent memories. I can’t suggest this childcare centre enough to anyone that is looking for childcare.

The team are welcoming, supportive and are consistently there to listen. There is an incredible outdoor area for each age group with a variety of activities indoors and outdoors. My son has consistently had a excellent relationship with the team, even when moving age groups. My son was recently toilet training, and the team were incredible working together with me to ensure we were both doing the same thing. The rooms are bright and open with lots of different areas. I consistently know my son will be secure and well looked after by the team, they have excellent relationships with the kids, would definitely suggest to anyone looking for a childcare centre for their wee ones. My son has been going to Belsize since he was 9-months, and he loves it.

Despite all of the challenges the childcare centre has faced due to the pandemic the team have continued to provide a high standard of care and our son has come on so much in his development. I can not fault the care he has received. There’s consistently something going on at the childcare centre and enjoyable days for the kids to get involved in.
The menus are changed regularly and the team consistently ask for feedback on proposed menu changes ahead of them being implemented. Our son has been at Happitots Childcare centre Broughty Ferry for approximately 12 months following the closure of his childcare centre within the same group.

This was her third move in a year and as such we were very apprehensive about how she would get on but she has settled in amazingly and it’s all due to the team. The manager was so supportive and you can tell she, along with her team, just want the best for the kids. The team couldn’t be any more supportive if they tried including setting up a chat for myself and my partner to see how our daughter gets on daily and providing us with discovering logs to see how our daughter is progressing, which her key worker regularly updates in her free time away from the childcare centre. You get a sense that it isn’t just a job for the team and they take a real interest in each kid and we have been very impressed with the childcare centre so far. I would just like to say a massive thanks from me and my partner for getting our daughter to settle in so well and showing the care and attention you do. My daughter recently transferred to this childcare centre from another childcare centre due to the coranavirus pandemic.
