Gingerbread House Day Nursery

They have attended since they were two years old and will be going onto primary school in September. They have close relationships with the team and both are developing social and discovering skills. The team provide a wide variety of creative as well as playtime-based activities. I warmly suggest Gingerbread House to any parent or grandparent looking for a secure nurturing setting for their little ones. My grandsons are now in pre-school and adore their days at the childcare centre.

The team in both the baby and toddler rooms have been excellent for my son and us.
It’s such a daunting journey and emotional at times but they continue to assistance us with regular updates, daily handovers and you can really tell they care about your kid and also us as the parents.
My son still struggles with drop-offs after nearly six months and the team still welcome him with a smile and helps calm my nerves daily.

All the educators and childcare centre practitioners are lovely and compassionate and ensure that she’s well looked after when we are at work. Now that she’s four and almost ready to start reception, Gingerbread offers a range of activities to prepare her for her transition to primary school and make sure she feels confident when starting reception in a few months. I’m actually going to be really sad when her time at Gingerbread comes to an end!
My youngest started also in Gingerbread end of last year and she was a bit shy compared to her sister. The team really went out of their way to ensure she settled well and now she consistently goes in smiling. Still to this day, I’m amazed they get her to nap for two hours!
So yes, I suggest this childcare centre to other parents if you want a place where your kids can be cheerful, playtime, be creative and meet other lovely kids. My eldest daughter started in Gingerbread House Day Nursery when she was only nine months and she has loved her time there.

The team is very communicative, so I am regularly informed of the kid’s development, which is very important to me.
Overall, excellent team, excellent establishment. The lady in charge is very inviting, shows vast knowledge in her role, and this transcends to the team.

She settled in really quickly and soon came to adore the childcare centre and her carers. She has a excellent bond with them. They have helped her with her speech, toilet training and discovering to write her name. I know she will consistently have a enjoyable day at childcare centre and will be well looked after. My daughter started at Gingerbread House last year.

Now that she has settled, she is very cheerful at Gingerbread House and loves going. She also enjoys the food there and has great varied meals and snacks. Very pleased with the care that my daughter receives.

He talks very positively about the team and his new friends so I am confident that he is cheerful and very well looked after. I also adore seeing the comments and photos on the app to see what he has been doing each day and what he has eaten. The team consistently seem very attentive and loving which is one of the things that attracted me to the childcare centre when I first came for a visit at collection time – seeing how positively the team interacted with the kids and the parents. I would definitely suggest this childcare centre to others. My son started in Pre-School in October and has settled in really quickly.

It is a very welcoming and secure setting for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers with lots of stimulating toys, a nice outdoor space and welcoming team. She has been very cheerful there and is well looked after. The team write thorough observations which are shared on an easy to use app and they do great handovers each day. You can tell they genuinely care for the kids and our daughter consistently comes home saying she has had a excellent day. I would definitely suggest it. Our daughter has attended the Gingerbread House Nursery for almost three years.

My daughter’s development and social skills are excellent and you would never be able to tell she’s a covid baby! I’m so grateful for all the team and management together with the high standards! Excellent childcare centre, incredible team, both of my kids are cheerful, the activities in the pre school year are gearing towards my son starting primary school.

There are team shortages, building issues and terrible financial management. I booked places for my two kids while still pregnant with my second, giving 18 months notice to the start date. 5 weeks after they started the childcare centre realised they had no capacity and relied too much on agency team so they cancelled one place and offered me completely different days from what I booked for my baby. My daughter was not cheerful there which I suspect is because they were not coping well with team turnover. Twice they gave my kids food they were allergic to by accident. My son fell over twice on his last day and no accident report was ever filled in.
Their ending the contract refund calculations are completely wrong and have no idea how to manage customer accounts properly. The building had several structural issues too, lovely but probably not maintained quite as it needs. I’m sure it used to be great but at the moment they are not doing excellent. An awful childcare centre that is currently struggling.
