Footsteps Walmley Nursery & Pre-School

With my young lady being born just before the first pandemic, I was nervous that she would be unsettled and wouldn’t enjoy herself but I couldn’t be any more wrong. My girl has recently started in the movers room. I cherish seeing what she had done on her day at childcare centre, by looking at their exploring book app and I always get informative feedback at the end of the day. I would strongly advocate this childcare centre to anyone! The team have been attentive and encouraging to settling my little girl and made me feel so at ease. She absolutely treasures her time at nursery setting and has formed such lovely bonds with the personnel.

Would enthusiastically advocate. They provide a wonderful space for the kids and do an remarkable job of getting to know them individually. My 2-year-old girl has been at Footsteps Nursery since she was 9 months old and my little one (now 6) was there previously. My girl has had to wear glasses from a young age and they were so supportive in encouraging her to do so, even buying books about kids wearing glasses to read to her whilst she was getting used to them.

This is because the personnel really do care about what they do, they put the effort and time into settling my kid and have made me as a father feel truly comfortable! She has become much more self‑assured and independent since starting and I’m so delighted to see her thriving in their support. I know she’s in great hands. They have taken the time to get to know my kid and I know she’s pleased when goes there as she just walks right in! My youngster has recently started at this setting and I’m so impressed with how well she has settled.

They participate in a lot of different activities including a cooking club in which they brought home a yummy cookie, it’s truly lovely to see their faces light up as we speak about what they did to create it at nursery setting. The early‑years hub have adapted the menu for my youngest child’s dietary needs without any complaints and the team makes sure I know which alternatives they’ve had when needed which is really reassuring! My little ones come home content and excited to tell me about their day and who they’ve been looked after by. We strongly advocate this early‑years hub! My 2 boys started at Walmley Footsteps within February, where the team and manager have gone above and beyond to help them settled in, feel comfortable and thrilled. The childcare centre has fabulous indoor and outdoor premises with a separate forest school on site which is incredible as my kids just treasure being outdoors.

The early‑years hub team are welcoming and knowledgeable. They offer the kids a range of activities – forest school, trips, lots of outdoor activities in the garden and a wide range of toys including kitchen corner, building blocks, sand playtime etc. The food menu seems to be quite nutritious including a good selection of fruits and vegetables. Pre-school was great and my eldest was more than ready for reception when the time came. They provide good information to the parents about the progress of the youngsters and areas to help them work on and we appreciated it when they provided a workshop to the parents on potty training when my eldest was the appropriate age.

There are many other better nurseries in the area. The food provided is also poor. Serious previous issues were also raised by Ofsted. Sadly gone downhill. When concerns raised told “staff don’t have time”. Poor parental correspondence and documentation. Fail to take an individualised approach or put the child’s needs first.

The team are caring, approachable, attentive and experienced. It will be great once the country opens up again to enable the mini day trips. The little ones have appropriate levels of stimulation and are blossoming. I am glad my kids are attending Footsteps.

As a parent your always apprehensive about where you send your kid but I’m so glad I chose here. Lovely nursery setting setting and great team. My little one has really settled here and all the team have been fantastic at helping with any request I’ve had.

My young lad started full-time at Footsteps Walmley shortly before his second birthday having previously been at another early‑years hub for one day a week. I’ve noticed a massive change in his speaking and general desire to discover and games more since being at Footsteps Walmley, and I can’t thank the personnel enough there! The manager in Rising 3’s as well as the crew within her team have been great with him and he thoroughly enjoys going and is thriving every day. I also enjoy the incredible outdoor space available at the early‑years hub and know that’s a favourite too! The crew at Footsteps Walmley made me feel so at ease with my little one starting full-time early‑years hub and relieved a mass amount of pressure from me having just started a new job role after time off that he would be in safe hands and having the best time at early‑years hub! The onboarding process couldn’t have been more of a breeze. Since then they’ve supported myself and him throughout different stages and have been nothing short of fantastic!

I always receive a full handover of her day and can tell she’s well looked after by the crew team. My young lady started in the baby room at the start of January and after spending most of our time in lockdown I was really nervous about leaving her however, the girls in the room made me feel so at ease. My young lady has come upon so much and enjoys being at nursery setting, I no longer feel anxious when dropping her off as I know how quickly she settles.
