October 24, 2024 at 10:45 pmWe attended the open day at Footsteps Lichfield Road Childcare centre & Pre-School to see if it would be the right fit for our daughter and are pleased to say it is!
All rooms are large and spotless with a variety of activities to show what the kids will be offered each day.
Each member of team we met was welcoming and answer all questions.

November 21, 2024 at 8:33 pmSeeing him so cheerful and smiling when he comes out is lovely to see. The team within the room are welcoming, approachable and nothing is ever too much to ask. They offer a variety of activities including forest school; my grandson adores the outdoor time and is full of stories about his time in forest school. My grandson has been attending this childcare centre for a couple of months now.

We adore seeing what he’s been doing each day and are so pleased with how well he’s doing. The Christmas package he brought home was lovely. Thank you to everyone in Babies and Movers. We’re so grateful to Footsteps and all the team for all they do.

December 4, 2024 at 11:50 pmShe has moved around, in 4 different rooms and currently goes to pre-school. Team is welcoming and overall our journey with them has been pretty great. The facilities, especially the gardens and forest school, help the kids to explore outside and delight in their time outdoors. They have plenty of things to do and never appear bored. Food is incredible and my daughter has consistently enjoyed her meals over there. In general, we are highly pleased with Footsteps childcare centre. My daughter has been attending Footsteps Lichfield Road Childcare centre & Pre-School since 18 months old.

December 26, 2024 at 6:00 pmThe first few sessions when we left her, she would get upset but the team reassured us and gave us self‑assurance she was in the best hands. If we were worried we could phone at any time. The room leader made us sense truly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Any requests or changes eg dietary requirements have been made when asked. Our babies development has truly come on since childcare centre and they have truly helped get her into a great routine which suits our lifestyle and they give great guidance if we have looked for it. From the childcare centre workers to our key worker and the room leader they are highly great at their jobs and are a credit to Footsteps Lichfield Road Childcare centre & Pre-School. Our baby settled in truly well thanks to the help of her key worker.

She loves the food that is provided and loves all the activities they do, unfortunately with her only doing one day she does miss out on some exciting activities but on the day she is in they do do a lot with her. We are highly cheerful with Lichfield Road Childcare centre, the team are incredible and truly care about the kids.

December in her group they did some lovely Xmas things, and we thoroughly enjoyed the measured ribbon in a baubles. Definitly a keep sake. My daughter has been at footsteps for a short while.

The level of updates from the team is outstanding and they all look cheerful to be working there which gives me even more self‑assurance that they are providing a fantastic setting for the kids in their care. I adore the regular themed activities and receiving photos of what my son has been up to. We are highly cheerful with the care the baby room has given our son since he started.

May 1, 2025 at 9:37 amThey supported with feeding expressed breastmilk and helped with trying different bottles and other methods of feeding breastmilk when he decided to wean off daytime breastmilk.
I adore all the activities the baby room provide and also the regular outdoor activities to ensure they get time exploring different environments and of course getting some fresh air.
Every member of the baby room has been remarkable and cannot thank the room leader enough for their assistance and care for my little one.
The food provision is also incredible. My little one was weaned onto solids during this time which helped us immensely.
Little one has now moved to Movers room where the care so far is equally as great. My kid had attended Footsteps since he was just 3 months old and I cannot speak highly enough about the care and assistance of the baby room.
Not only did they settle my little one in beautifully, they truly put my mind at ease and reduced the mum guilt when I returned to work.

May 18, 2025 at 4:07 amThe childcare centre is looking tired in places. Emails sent to management with no response back which is unacceptable. The policy of requiring the kid to be at home for loose nappies is ridiculous especially when we know it is teething and doctors have confirmed this. Absence cost us £400 alone this month. The key workers are outstanding.

Its also truly nice to get a little summary of their day via the app – I hope things continue like this! Our daughter started at Footsteps this month and so far has had a excellent journey.

However, a little more information on what the kids get up to would be truly nice. We have also found that meeting sleep needs has been a challenge – where, at home, they might sleep for 2-2.5 hours at childcare centre, it’s often been half an hour, if at all. The only explanation we have ever been given for this is that the nap room can become quite noisy and disruptive, which is not conducive to great sleep. On the whole, though, we are cheerful. Overall, we have found Footsteps to be a inviting and welcoming setting, and the key workers are welcoming and compassionate.
