Footsteps Canwell Nursery & Pre-School

He absolutely loves his new childcare centre and couldn’t have settled in better! He loves all the team and talks about them all week. We are super cheerful with Footsteps and so glad we moved our son here. My son joined in September 2022 as a rising 3 after quite a few big changes in our lives.

The care he has received has been incredible, every single member of team go above and beyond, we are highly sad to see him leave his year for primary school.
His speech skills have come on leaps and bounds since he has attended childcare centre and he has loved making friends and taking part in all of the enjoyable activities the team provide.

She has settled highly well and has made a excellent connection with her key workers. They set many varied activities each week and seem to truly know my kid. We are well informed at the end of each day, with a full brief of what she has been up to all day. I sense my kid is well looked after whilst in your care. I would like more entries to her e-discovering book, maybe one per week. There have only been two since September 2021. Overall, highly cheerful. My kid attends once a week.

They give excellent feedback and you sense they genuinely care about each kid. Our kid loves going there. Having a forest school on site with forest school leaders is invaluable. I sense highly lucky that our kid goes to Footsteps childcare centre. The team are so welcoming and attentive.

Adore the fact the building was an existing school and not a house conversion. The childcare centre is small and welcoming and everyone would get to know each other. An added bonus with the natural garden/forest is a excellent journey to get out and explore nature. I like the app which is user-welcoming and you get development picture updates on what your kid has eaten, even how many nappy changes. I have found all the team highly welcoming and supportive and this makes me sense at ease. Great security with finger access allows you access to the site which allowed you to view from a distance and see how your kid is interacting with kids and team.
Adore the messy playtime, cooking and external team activities such as singing, dance sports, football etc. My highly first contact with Footsteps I felt at ease and the team were highly supportive and open to me coming and visiting the childcare centre.

His key worker and all the team in his room are lovely and remarkable with him. They consistently let us know what activities he has completed in the day and he often comes home with paintings or pictures. He often talks about childcare centre at home. Whenever we have had to raise anything it has been dealt with immediately. All the team are welcoming and approachable.
The only thing I would like is more pictures and observations. We do not get many observations come through. I know they are based on interests which take weeks at a time but it would be nice to have a weekly update on the app! My little boy absolutely loves childcare centre.

The team are so personable and know each kid by name which means it has a real comforting sense to it. When my daughter first started at 10 months she spent most of her days crying but with the help of the team shes truly come into her own. She has way more self‑assurance and is a lot more independent! I wouldnt send my kids any where else! A lovely little childcare centre that my daughter absolutely adores.

My son has attended since he was 13 months old and is now 18 months old. The team are highly welcoming, they do a variety of different activities with the kids to entertain and educate them and spend a lot of time outside. They have noticed which activities my kid is particularly interested in and make an effort to engage him with his preferred activities. The atmosphere feels calm and cheerful whenever I drop him off or have attended the stay-and-playtime. I get regular updates and photos via the app. I am truly cheerful with this childcare centre.

I can honestly say this childcare centre is incredible, my kid has settled in well and I’m so pleased. They do different things daily, and you can get updates throughout the day and get feedback. All the team are so lovely and attentive. Would 100% suggest this childcare centre. First time any of my kids have been in a childcare centre setting before, I previously used a Kid Minder.

The care she receives is outstanding and updates between the childcare centre and home is regular and consistent. The team make every effort to get to know all of the kids, even those in different rooms. Our daughter struggled at drop-off for a while and the team went out of their way to establish a routine for her when she arrived to help settle her quickly. Our daughter has developed incredibly well and we are truly pleased we chose to send her here. Her sister will be joining her highly soon too! We have been incredibly cheerful with Footsteps Canwell since our daughter started in 2020.
